I was wondering if hotels are fine with you bringing back different ladies to your room for an hour of a bit. Apart from the shame, has anyone had any issues?

I didn't have any issues last year when I was in Madrid, I stayed at hotel suisse. I was there during the same time as the Europe Union economic or banking congress & the F1 event, for both events the national police had ID checks at the corner of the hotel. You had to have a room at the hotel to pass, & then separate security to get inside the hotel. I did 2 outcalls, & a fat british chick I picked up at the Irish Bar down the street. And possibly not if you've booked a single at the rock bottom end of the hotel price range. They'll just see it as getting more out of the hotel than's been paid for. So rocking back at 2 in the morning with skirt in tow may get queried. They don't know whether she's popping up briefly to inspect your etchings or in for the rest of the night.

And also, always worth seeing things from the hotel's point of view. Hotels are liable for the safety of people enter the hotel. They carry insurance to cover this. But the insurance covers the hotel for registered guests. The insurance may not pay out on claims made by those not registered as guests, so the liability could fall on the hotel.

I've always avoided the family oriented small hotels & booked a double. And of course you're right. With the bigger busier hotels they don't know who you are or much care. Although bunging the night clerk a score often encourages poor eyesight. Night clerks can also be remarkably helpful in pointing you in the right direction for your bit of skirt. May even organise one or a brace for you.
