I have been on Saturday 17-04-2010 in Monna Lisa and Hollywood bar again, so I can bring you some useful suggestions about these two interesting places.

The first impression I had when I came into Monna Lisa was wonderful. It was around 5 p.m., and about 15-20 girls was waiting for the few customers into the bar. I discovered later that some of theme were coming from Spain, where the economical crisis is much more worrying then in Switzerland and it causes a great loss of work for prostitutes.

The first session of the day was with Silvia, a sweet creole girl coming from Dominican Republic. 1.70 meters high, lightly dark skin, curly hair, slim and sensual body. This one of many "contact bars" in Ticino. Apart from the Oceano in Lugano, this seems to be the one that gets the best write ups in German and Italian forums.

In the bar you could find nearly 20 ladies coming mainly from Romania and East Europe, with some South American girl. Drink something sitting on the table, at normal rates starting from 3-5 €, and wait for some girl sitting near you or ask directly to them; very easy! After bargaining, your choose will take you to one of the clean and comfortable room of the hotel.

The price of normal service is 100 CHF (about 70 € at current exchange). It includes CBJ, no FK, for ½ hour of sex. You could find some girl that offer you more then this standard: ask before at the bar, looking especially at Caribbean and South American ladies (normally more eager, as usual).

Whilst in Como (Italy) I decided to a make the six-minute train journey over the border to Chiasso to visit the Pompeii Sauna Club. It's at via Brogeda 1,6830 Chiasso (091 682 76 56 http://www.Pompeiisaunaclub.ch/). It is open every day from 14. 00 to 01. 00.

It's very easy to get to: five minutes walk from the town centre (where there are ATMs) and the railway station – just walk up the via Alessandro Volta from the centre and the club is straight ahead of you on the corner of Via Brogeda, where the via Volta bends to the left.

The Pompeii is not run on the same lines as any other sauna club that I have been to: it's a bit of a cross between a sauna club and a contact bar. When you enter there is a seating area on your left and the entrance to the bar straight ahead. In both areas there are a number of girls, maybe 20 or more in total, awaiting your attention. There is no entrance charge, but you are I imagine obliged to buy a drink. There is a pool in the middle of the room but it is fenced off and not apparently in use. Neither do you get changed: men remain in their street clothes in the bar. Although the website refers to common areas I was not shown any facilities apart from the bar and seating area that were available without going to a room with a girl.

A Romanian girl called Yolanda explained the system to me and I decided to go with her to a room. The cost was 45 CHF for the room, paid at a desk at the entrance to the private area and 250 CHF for her for half an hour. Actually she originally quoted me prices in euros: 35€ for the room and 150€ for herself: a little maths shows that completely different exchange rates have been applied to the two figures and that it would be cheaper to pay for the room in francs and the girl in euros! The proximity to the border explains the two currencies, but not the discrepancy in rates. I've read that the vast majority of customers in the clubs in Ticino (where they are legal) come from Italy (where they wouldn't be). And of course Ticino is Italian-speaking.

The room was nice enough and had a shower, but was unpleasantly hot because there was a sauna in the corner. The sex was rather mechanical and she was anxious not to over-run the half hour.

I don't think that I would go again: I didn't particularly like the set-up, and it is definitely not value for money compared with the competition (eg CHF 150 per session at Oceano with no separate charge for the room).

Its address is via Camoghé 1, 6593 Cadenazzo. The bar is just by the junction of via Camoghé with via San Gottardo opposite a petrol station. On foot it is about 1 Km from Cadenazzo station - turn left from the station along the via Stazione and carry on over the roundabout along via San Gottardo. When you reach the petrol station on the right you can take a short-cut through its forecourt - the bar is now opposite you. (Theres another short cut along the old alignment of the road a bit before this.) If you need an ATM there is one in the via Stazione on the right just before the roundabout. Cadenazzo is easily reached on the train from Locarno, Belinzona or further afield and trains run to 1.00 in the morning.

The bar is clean and bright (not very atmospheric) and there is a separate smoking room and a small outside terrace. Depending on time of day and how busy things are there will be a number of girls in the bar dressed in lingerie or skimpy clothing. You will probably be approached by a girl and you can accept or decline her company. You may have buy her a drink if you stay in the bar, but you can go straight to a room with her without paying ht bar anything. I understand that the rooms vary in size and comfort: the room I was taken to was pretty small and the girl and I had to use a bathroom down the corridor to wash. The bathroom was shared with four or five other rooms in a unit -- a bit like some student accommodation. The room was adequate for sex but I pity the girl using it to live in as well.

I was first approached by a attractive Venezualan who asked for 500 CHF but I didn't have that ammount on me. I went to get some money from the nearest ATM and by the time I came back she had disappeared, luckily. By then there were no girls free in the bar so I had to have another drink. Not an entirely satisfactory experience, (and I'm glad I didn't pay the 500 CHF!), but I'd go there again if was in the area.

I would not say that it is a good adress.
But if you are into the "stunners" that could be one.
This is a rather expensive club and high-standard club. You'd better negociate clearly before going with a lady.
There are other clubs in Chiasso that to my mind are better, because the atmosphere will be more casual and relaxed, and the prices lower. That is if you're more into the "good fuck" and not consider the physical aspect of the girls as the most important.

Bordelli come il Gabbiano o il Tortuga di Loreto hanno ormai chiuso i battenti da tempo. Certo i locali del genere che resistono sono diversi, per esempio l'Hollywood ed il Bosco di Cadenazzo, l'Oceano e l'Iceberg a Grancia, il Corona a Lugano Sud, il Motel di Castione, il Giardinetto di Locarno ed il Club 5 a Maroggia per citare solo i più noti. Ma siamo ben lontani dal numero di bordelli che c'era qualche anno fa. Polizia e Ministero Pubblico ne hanno infatti chiusi parecchi. Ed anche i più classici night club (con licenza di locale notturno) sono in crisi, diversi hanno chiuso i battenti.

La nuova tendenza del mondo a luci rosse è questa: le saune. Entrata gratuita (o attorno ai 30 franchi) ...e sesso a pagamento con una o più donne che costa dai 100/150 franchi in su, a dipendenza della prestazione richiesta.

In generale il mondo della prostituzione ticinese va verso una sempre maggiore diversificazione dell'offerta: night club, bordelli, appartamenti, saune. E una cosa è certa: in Ticino, il mondo delle luci rosse, malgrado diverse chiusure - e già si mormora che il prossimo locale a chiudere sarà proprio la sauna Pompeii di Chiasso - offre molto più di quanto si sia portati ad immaginare.
