Hi,

It's a bit off topic and longer (sorry), but I am extremely curious if you have any experience dating the local ladies. I (37, German, from Hamburg) have been to Zurich last week for the first time (my company wanted me to meet their Swiss staff) and the experience was totally different from what I am used to in Germany.

Here are my observations from walking alone in old town / ETH district for 5 hours in the afternoon, applying mostly to females around my age (20-50):

- People (both guys and girls) dress very nicely and behave respectful. Streets are clean, infrastructure is great, everything is smooth. Big plus compared to Germany. I instantly loved this city.

- There is a sheer abundance of Asian females (Thai, Filipino), maybe 1 of 50 women is Asian. They live here, probably have been married and brought in by a Swiss guy. This means more competition for local ladies, and many men opting out. Also lots of single African women and from unknown descent (could be Arab / Latinas), and lots of mixed couples.

- I saw very few African / Arabian / Asian men, meaning less men available. In Germany we have hoards of single male "asylum seekers", making dating impossible since German ladies prefer those "exotic guys" and they are available plentiful.

- I noticed a dozen of ladies sitting alone in cafes or near the river. Alone. In Germany you won't see this (it's a sign of weakness), you only see single men in cafes.

- On a sunny afternoon, people were wearing short sleeves. Around 10% of ladies decided to accentuate their breasts, by using push-ups, big neckline, skinny shirts etc. Walking around in Zurich in late afternoon felt like a giant boob show. Wonderful. I think they try to get attention. In Germany, far less women present their boobs this way (they don't need to, guys are plentiful available and she has numbers of 10 guys in her phone if she is horny).

- Many Swiss ladies made eye contact with me (bit longer than normally), and 2 even smiled at me when passing by. I can't remember the last time a German girl smiled at me in the streets, must be years ago.

- The bonus: Each of these wonderful ladies brings home 6,000 EUR per month (median salary after tax, and unemployment is low), which is enough for a comfortable life of 2 people in Zurich. Apartment costs 2-3 k, groceries and the rest is not so much higher than in Germany, so the 3,5 k left will do fine.

Median salary in Germany is 1,700 EUR and apartment maybe 900 - so the 800 left can make for a modest lifestyle, but if you want a car and vacation, you better be double income no kid.

My theory:

Once Swiss ladies were Wlike the rest of the west. Then a sizeable number of Swiss guys decided to marry an Asian and opted out (they could easily afford it with their salary). Government forbid the hoards of single male asylum seekers from coming to their beautiful country. So finally there were more women left than men. This changed the dynamics significantly and now the women try to get attention from the remaining guys (presenting boobs, making eye contact, smiling at strangers).

I am convinced that this also made the ladies more feminine and good-hearted (think: the most loyal guy is a German living in Germany, because he has no chance of dating a woman and even if, he wouldn't risk losing his girlfriend, because it's too hard to find a new one. Same logics should apply to Swiss ladies).

So here we have good-hearted beautiful European ladies, interesting in dating Europeans, raking in 6 k per month and if I lived there too, we would have 12 k per month which is enough for a kingstyle life in the wonderful city of Zurich.

Is this paradise or am I missing something?
