When I was in Kiev, Nov 09, the barman gave a card for a new Poker Club. Not a strip poker club, but a proper card club.

I am not a player so I can't comment as an expert on the existence of such clubs. From what I do know and hear, there are "clubs" and "internet-based games of chance" clubs and maybe other such variations trying to get around the law.

The problem here is that when the authorities are in need of showing that there is action, they raid these clubs and arrest everyone. However, a player may be willing to risk the odds. The other problem is that once you go underground and are not regulated (at least minimally by the state) the chances of highly dishonest operators rises tremendously. This is an even worse scenario.

However, if all you are doing at the card club is a sure bet on the lady, that is the best bet of all, money spent wisely and the return could well be tremendous. It is a gamble worth taking with the odds in your favor!
