If you have a pressing need, that's certainly understandable. But, if this is a discretionary trip, Lviv has been in Putin's missile crosshairs several times. If (when?) it happens again, maybe you'll be lucky, but maybe not.

I'm sure each of those victims probably thought they were far enough from the front lines to be reasonably safe. The truth is that all of Ukraine is a war zone and Putin's missiles and drones can strike pretty much anywhere. So, IMO, anyone making a purely discretionary trip into a war zone might want to think twice.

Don't go by bus, you can be delayed at the border, so if you have connections you will miss them. Go by train if you can.
