Population growth is slightly negative and the economy was growing at 7%, so it will be long time before joe or jane six pack can afford a mortgage of $1500 a month.

At $7000 a year the average monthly salary would be $583 before taxes etc...People entering the workforce may be earning less on average since they are at the bottom of the salary ladder.

As things tighten up, and depending on the ability to maintain anonymity, expect to see more and better looking part timer girls at more reasonable prices.

OK ! Welcome to ECON 101 - according to LIFE!

    Leading economic indicators vs trailing.

I often take the metro from the 'outskirts' to golden gate and need to transfer to the red line in center. Usually around 6pm.

3 months ago it was packed. Sardines even. And the next train had to stop and not open doors as there was no place for new people.

Now. It is down at least 50%. Maybe more. Why? (if ya can't figure this you flunk)

    This is a leading indicator.

Trailing? Well, the price of pussy has begun to trickle down. But nothing like the metro riders. 4 months from now.

    Happy days are here again.

    Life 'professor' savour

Ps. I do have tenure 'd'!

Of course, in VERY rare instances someone may give the girls a sum of money that they will use to pay an American to marry them in Ukraine so they can emigrate to the US. I am assuming that it's much more common for them to earn their keep for a while rather than pay cash for such an arrangement. That would suit me fine since what I really want is a live-in for six months or so....

So the real question for me is whether I should concentrate on those listing "fictitious marriage" if I want to find a live in. Opinions?
Is that the same thing as "marriage for the form" that Babelfish translates?

I have seen many discussions here about the dangers of actually going through with a marriage of convenience - the main one being losing half your assets in the divorce, or accusations of abuse. Better to find some other import scheme. Some countries have special rules for "au pair girls" or other domestic workers. Alternatively, maybe she could come as a student? Even sponsoring her full ticket for school might be cheaper than a costly divorce or immigration fraud problems.

I started out thinking I could meet several women who listed themselves as wanting a sponsor and "regular sex together" as opposed to "sex for 1-2 times." But that has not been working. It seems they earn enough with X number of sponsors that they are not interested in moving in. (Let's put aside the question of whether I have poor manners or bad breath). If I'm already paying them $200 for overnight and I'm not willing to pay $2000 a month, the arithmetic doesn't seem to work for these girls.

So the real question for me is whether I should concentrate on those listing "fictitious marriage" if I want to find a live in. Opinions?

    Pluto2,

Nice tidy little analysis. Thanks. It's good to see we're getting some value from the CIA.

One statement that I don't follow. You wrote that with unemployment at 7% the girls don't need the money. Are you saying, most everyone who wants to work already has a job?

    Reiner Otto,

What do you mean "restart the scam-game again" ? You make it sound as though some good scam was stopped for a while and will now restart.

You can't possibly mean that the girls were so disdainful of foreigners that they had even given up trying to scam them.

And where in USA would ya get it? The grivna going UP compared to the $$ means it is 'devaluing'

Just bring your dollars. Duh! We won't see 6. 0 to the $ in a very long time!

Or is this a seasonal issue in Kiev that you have seen every year? Young women wanting the money to go skiing in the Carpathians or finance a winter break at Sharm-el-Sheik?

Today, a casual survery of Moscow girls on Mamba shows about 20% listing English, plus other languages.
International mongers are once again becoming a market force as Boris and Yuri can no longer afford to
keep the girls in the style to which they briefly aspired!
