The western-based dating sites, not yet. For them, Sevastopol is still in Ukraine.

Girls from Nikolaev and Kherson are also spoiled to some extent, but you will have much less competition regarding foreigners there.
As you definitely will need to learn Russian, costs of private teacher also are lower in Nikolaev or Kherson.
In case, your destination will be Nikolaev, I can even recommend you the best teacher of Russian, I ever had. And I broke the nerves of quite a few.
BTW: Her photos, a few years old though, were on the title page of anastasiaweb.
Be prepared to stay only in one city. Because, in the beginning you will be considered a sex-tourist anyway, so it will take some time until you are recognized as a long-termer, at least. So to split 6 moths for 2 cities is not a godd idea, I think. Cause you are looking for some serious relationship.
Think about going to UA by car.

I think it is important to play the field a bit, discover what you are capable of and what is on offer, before you decide on your long-term strategy.
I will be in Kiev in a few weeks and would be happy to hoist a pint with you.
You need to get a senior / full membership so we can communicate by PM.

Posts: 1Moving to Ukraine April 2014 for 6 months
Folks,
I'm a recently semi retired Engineer from Britain. I have an income of 20k Sterling pa from investments. I reasonably healthy, good looking, charming, educated, wealthy, successful and I come from a good family and background say a 7/10.
I'm looking to find a gf first then travel, then marry and settle down. I have enough for two. Desired age 25. Fit. Healthy and well educated and speaks English reasonably well and is willing to learn, travel etc. Not looking for a beauty 7/10 is fine.
I tried the dating websites and found them too time consuming.
My strategy is to spend some time travelling in the Western areas of Ukraine, learn some of the language some culture and then spend some time in Kiev and Odessa over the next 6 months. In the Autumn I plan to travel to the Southern hemisphere.
I'm single and have little mongering experience. I'm really more interested in a genuine relationship but in the interim a sponsorship deal and perhaps some mongering. After all life is short!
I have browsed this website for a while now and I believe Ukraine is the best choice within the European sphere to spend some time.
Now could be an excellent opportunity in fact with good exchange rate etc. One just needs a good contingency plan if any hostilities break out.
I'm propose to read the forum on Ukraine again in detail and prepare some notes that would help some other beginners who come after me.
It would be great if the more experience members would be helpful and I will definitely bring over a nice bottle of malt whiskey in return.
Regs Kevin

Posts: 2306"Intercity" trains in Ukraine.
A great way to travel throughout the country and visit the provinces. It s day trains, quite fast (about 130 km / hour on the fastest sections) , super confortable, and cheap (some 35 € for Kiev / Dnipro in first class). First class wagons are almost always empty (photo). Kiev is their departure / arrival point but there s seasonal transversal lines to Krimea like Kharkov / Simferopol.

Posts: 249Americans / Canadians / Western Europeans
If any Americans, Canadians or Western Europeans are heading over to Kyiv in the next little while, shoot me a PM. Its difficult to get a quality bottle of bourbon in Kyiv and I would greatly appreciate someone bringing a bottle of it over for me. My friends from the Southern USA have given me a taste for it. Obviously I will reimburse you and if you're new to Kyiv will happily show you around, show you some good cafes in Kyiv to bring your lady friends to or simply teach you how to use the metro system which will open up the city for you. I can even recommend a reputable apartment rental company here. Anyway, Woodford Reserve is my personal favorite and am positive you can pick it up at most duty free shops, even in Western Europe. If you're a bourbon drinker yourself, I would be interested in any recommendations.
