    Living the dream

    Hello CanadianBoy.

I am hoping to make a return sometime this year. Was it you that was asking about getting a bottle of JD? PM me, please. Yours is blocked.

    Cheers.

Categorizing girls in Kiev as pro, semi-pro and freebies is not reflective on the situation here. The range spans from very innocent and pure girls who would never consider meeting a man for money through possibly 20 levels of sponsorship all the way up to the hard core pros. However, even within those subcategories will be variations, depending on who you are and how they feel at the time.

An Irish friend who visited last year met a girl for $150 for 2 hours who stayed for 4 days as they were having so much fun at no additional cost. She had now covered the rent and was off the clock so to speak. As CB can probably affirm, living here opens up those variations. Mamba works well but as CB also seems to be an open guy, collecting a number from a girl in the mall can lead to success. Of course many give their numbers willingly only to not answer when you send an SMS, but long term that's as good a way as any.

    Travel Warning. ATM Limits

For those of you contemplating coming to Ukraine and Kiev now and in the near future, make absolutely sure you bring with you enough cash to ensure that your paid pleasure is secure. You can bring into Ukraine up to $10, 000 without declaring it.

Most if not all banks at their ATMs have recently put a limit of 1000 grivna per day per card. At the current exchange rate, that is now about $84 and may drop further. You can always go to the ATMs at various banks but you will incur higher currency conversion and multiple bank fees further driving down the effective exchange rate.

Credit cards do work normally so restaurant, hotel, bar, club, store, supermarket and other such purchases are not a problem.

The only good news is that you no longer need your passport to make any currency exchange.

I also suggest that you change any monies on the day and in the exact amount you expect to utilize these payments since the exchange rate has been dropping to the betterment of the dollar / Euro. A week ago the rate was about 11 grivna to the dollar, now is is 11. 90. I would also suggest that you make your payments tot he ladies only in grivna and not in dollars or euros thereby substantially reducing your costs.

CB. Thanks for your response to my question earlier and, of course, your ongoing posts are very helpful.

That post did remind me not to treat homeless people as invisible. However, it's true, walking down St. Catherine Street in Montreal you will encounter far more sketchy, bold and stoned characters than on the main streets of Kiev. And, in frank one-upmanship, in my country we think of Canada as a disturbingly safe and pleasant place.

    Friday in Kyiv!

Woke up this morning to a beautiful day here in Kyiv. Hoped the metro to the center, exchanged a large amount of American currency into UAH and took a leisurely walk around Kreshchatyk and Globus Mall. Lots of lovely ladies walking around, gentleman.

I sent a SMS to Olga (the River Palace contact I still have) asking if she was up for an afternoon fuck but she told me she wouldn't be done work until 18:00 but could we meet afterwards? I told her I had dinner plans with friends (in truth a feebie I am chasing). While I've been concentrating my time and efforts on chasing the many feebies available to a gainfully employed man living fulltime in Kyiv, Olga is very sexy and someone I thoroughly enjoy fucking.

It was shortly afterwards, while I was wandering around Maidan, that I received a SMS from Yana. Yana is an early twenties woman I met for dinner back in November. At the time I was too busy with work to chase anymore than one or two freebies, so despite our pleasant dinner together and her obvious interest, I decided to pursue someone else. However, we stayed in touch on Facebook and even promised to meet again sometime. Anyway, with the economic and political instability in Ukraine now, the company she works for has cut down on her hours and she was obviously stressed about it. She was telling me that she wasn't sure how she was going to pay rent next month. I grabbed the opportunity and made a playful remark that I was single and would gladly help with her expenses in exchange for her time. At first she waivered and insisted she was not a prostitute. I told her that of course she wasn't but that we are both adults and why not have some fun together? She said she thought I was handsome, hadn't had sex for nearly 8 months and would certainly think it over.

As I was having dinner with Tanya, the freebie I am chasing, I got a message from Yana saying she would come over to my flat later to talk. Soon afterwards, I gave Tanya a long kiss goodnight and hoped the metro back to my flat. The fact that Yana was not the kind of woman who would normally give sex for money really turned me on. So much so that I did not respond to Olga when she asked again if I wanted to meet tonight.

Yana showed up looking good and after a few drinks I started to kiss her hand and lips. Well, she just left 45 minutes ago after two hours of terrific fucking. The best part was watching those large, perky tits bounce up and down as she rode me. Yana is a warm woman with a playful attitude in bed. I am sorry to hear about your friend. I hope he is doing well. However, to those who are considering Kyiv and are uncertain, please do not think this is the norm. In my opinion, its a random act of violence and could happen in any city. I am from Canada and I've heard far worse than this from my country and I certainly don't consider Canada an unsafe country. In my opinion, as someone living in Kyiv now since before the protests at Maidan, I think this is just bad luck. What is more, if a homeless person punched me the story would not end there, that's for sure.

    Essays

Thank you for your comments. He likes essays. He has always liked essays. He will probably continue liking and writing essays as he seems to have all the time in the world to dedicate to the task. The good news is that after a while your eyes get trained on which posts to read and which to ignore.

    Happy hunting all.

I never had a problem in Kiev after numerous trips. Normal street smarts would dictate that you have to keep moving when approached by the homeless. For me, the worse was the girl bums that would follow you. Learned quickly to duck into a store in that situation.

Sorry I don't know about the supermarkets. I left Kiev back in December. I liked shopping in the Billy stores. One by the Rynok and one under Maiden next to Vodka Bar.

Be careful at Arena. Dolly Salon is great.

    Hi guys,

I just returned from a short stay in Kiev. It is an incredible time to be there after what's been happening recently. After visiting the city, I decided to spend Sunday night at Arena (http://www.arena-kiev.com/). It was empty, but the English speaking hostess was friendly enough and agreed to show me the different bar, restaurants, and clubs. She explained that the club across the square was new and worth a visit. So we walked over there together. There was a bar and a dance floor. There was one nice looking woman sitting at the bar. I decided to stay and order a drink for 90 UAH (6 euros). I soon started chatting with the bartender and then the woman at the bar. She was very friendly and spoke enough English for us to have a few laughs. I decided to offer her a drink. The bartender bought a different drink menu than on one I used. She indicated the glass of white wine that the woman ordered. I followed her finger on the menu to the column on the right. It indicated 150. She asked if I agreed and I said sure. She then poured the wine like it was liquid gold. The bartender had asked me to pay for my drink as soon as I ordered, but not the woman's drink. I became supicious and immediately asked for the bill. The amount was 528 UAH (35 euros). I asked why not 150 UAH. She said that 150 was the amount of milliliters! What a scam. I immediately paid and left the bar, never to return. On the way out, I went back to speak to the friendly hostess. I explained what happened. She said it was my fault for not reading carefully the menu. What a scam.

Later than night, I went to Dolly Salon (http://www.salondolly.com/). For less then what I spent at Arena, I had an incredible 1 hour erotic massage. The woman, pretty, dressed in sexy lingerie, did a great job with the massage. The second part of the massage was incredibly erotic. She was totally naked and oiled for that part. Just no touching her pussy. Highly recommended.
