Without getting too much into geopolitics, Russia is seeking (rightfully so in my opinion) guaranteed security on it's southwestern flank against NATO and resolution to the Nordstream nonsense. I know someone I trust in Kyiv and he told me Ukraine has recently reclaimed two towns in Donbass. Not that means much of anything. Time will tell if I'm right or not but I figure I can get out of the country in half a day. It will take the Russians a lot longer than that to get to Kyiv so I'll be there in a couple weeks. All this overreaction to what is basically a mild flu for any reasonably healthy person is and has always been utter nonsense, I've been over this whole thing since Apr last year.

To set it straight:

1. I am not in Kiev at the moment.

2. There is a war between Russia and Ukraine right now. Total casualties since 2014 exceed 10,000. Not a threat, a real war.

3. I have been in Kiev in 2014 in the middle of it all. Didn't feel much difference with my visits before: in 1986,2003-2013 or after: in 2015-2019.

To be fair, there is a threat of a serious escalation. They say end of January. Who knows?! I hope it will not touch the Capital City.

The risk of getting sick with COVID is a much higher concern to me personally. It's a gamble I prefer not to take. Kinda keeps me away. If mentally I am not ready to kiss my beloved concubines, then why bother? After all I am not a Neanderthal who needs to put his dick into affordable beauties.

Actually I hope the new owner can get some of the old ones back but probably they have moved on. Pre-covid Darling was my best place to get solid 8's. Hella deal for 2200/ hour back then. But I expect the new rates start at 3000 as do the apartments.

First time in Ukraine. My main regret is visiting here sooner during its heyday. Quick diatribe: To guys who boast about how they can afford to overpay because they can. This is the litmus test. This is kind of off topic, but I was wondering if there are any punters that can provide any insight.

I am currently in Turkey on a tourist visa, and I was trying to get vaccinated, but it seems only those with a residence permit can book an appointment for getting vaccinated. Getting residence permit takes time and IMHO not worth the hassle just for the sake of getting vaccinated.

Ukraine is a short flight from here, and looking at Airbnb, it seems rentals are cheaper in Ukraine especially Odessa compared to Istanbul.

So I was wondering, are foreigners visiting Ukraine able to get vaccinated if they choose to? I won't be arriving on a tourist visa as such, as my passport allows me to stay in Ukraine for up to 90 days without visa.
