I usually see tourists hanging out in luxury and expensive nightclubs. Of course it's a matter of budget and taste. But I also like hanging out in less touristy and cheap student clubs. Girls who come to cheap student clubs aren't meant to show off, but just to have fun. That's why I think cheap clubs are more fun. But I am over 35 and techno music is not my style. For this reason, I hang out in very noisy nightclubs for a maximum of 2 hours.

I also recommend Caribbean Club if you don't like noise like me. It is not a very cheap club, but a quality club. The shows are worth seeing. Another advantage is that it is crowded on weekdays. Actually, this strip club is a semi-professional scam business. If you are drunk and order expensive drinks they inflate the bill. While you are waiting to pay 10 000 uah bill, you may face double account. So they are doing opportunity scams. So it's totally up to your luck whether you get ripped off at this club or not.

Palladium Night Club / Odessa.

I don't know if this place is still open but what I do know is that it's the most famous scam company in Odessa. The trick is the same. You met the hot Slav chicks in Odessa and they offered you to go to Palladium. I shuddered even thinking about the bill you would pay.

Itaka Beach Club / Odessa.

Unfortunately, even the famous beach clubs in Odessa do not hesitate to cooperate with scammer girls. You made a eye contact with a sexy Slavic girl in the nightclub and invited her to your table. The girl will order expensive food and drink and you will pay an unforgettable bill at the end of the night.

The restaurant scam was tried on me by two Asian looking girls who I matched on Tinder in Kiev. The girl wanted me to go to this specific bar with hookah and grill and would not go to different place at all. One other scam tried on me was bundle of notes (UAH) was dropped right in front of me as I was walking through Pecherschk district towards Gulliver building. The scam involves you picking the bundle up and handing it to the 'owner' who is pretending to be unlocking his car or on call and when he checks the bundle he is short of few notes and gets it from your wallet LOL. I just winked at the guy and said to him in Russian Nyet Svivodnya (Not Today)!

If you don't trouble the girls I doubt the local mafia and police who are also on payroll would come looking for you. If you don't like the girls when they visit you can hand them 100-200 UAH and ask to leave which they do without any issues.

I've had the bundle of notes in a plastic bag done to me at least 10 times and I haven't been to Kiev in 8 years. When I would see it I would start kicking it down the street or on the road. My first variant was a guy tapped me and said look what I found and offered to share it with me then a pissed off guy came up and started yelling it was his and where is the missing money. I just said, nothing to do with me and bolted. After a few repeats I decided to make it a bit more fun for me. With it at worst me telling them I know the scam so fuck off.

Why are you so paranoid? You are either American and live in a city where murder is normalized or you are planning to kidnap one of these girls and make a jacket from her skin. Like I said, I haven't used pimps and I'm not familiar with the scene with it's driver / bodyguard setups. There's also been mentions on this forum about the possibility that a girl can go open the door of the apartment for her friends, who then would be able to rob you. The funny thing is, all this uncertainty is part of the reason I want to visit Kiev. It's an adventure from this safe-haven of mine. I want to see how well I can read the people who want to play me.
