About Tinder. The only place where I have got reasonable matches has been when I have used it in Ukraine. Of course, they are all pros.

I would not be swiping on Tinder when you are not in Ukraine unless you can spoof your location or you go the two phone route. The problem is that girls will see your location is hidden or you are 1000 km and swipe left. This will lower your ranking quickly and will make it super hard to find matches. Once you get to Kyiv, your account will be virtually dead with your low ranking. I would suggest having two Tinder accounts. One for when you are at your home location and one you open up when you arrive with an Ukrainian SIM on a different phone.

Tinder really sucks all the data it can. It knows when you use one phone to open multiple accounts by IP, MEID, Google / Apple account, etc. Be sure to put your location as Kyiv too when remote swiping and when people ask why you are 1000 km away, just say you live in Kyiv but are on business trip. I am 45 and got 40 matches in a couple days in the age range of 22-29 as an average looking dude. I lower my age a little bit and brighten the bags under my eyes a bit in photoshop. If you must take a train, make sure it's first class, not expensive and a much better way to travel. For me the worst thing about train travel is not the train ride itself but the train station, specifically Kiev (pas) main station, I absolutely despise this station, the absolute worst in Ukraine, this station needs a complex overhaul, it was exceptional for 1950 but not now. As as soon as you get off the train you're in the middle of 100's of people all racing to be the first to that narrow hugh flight of stairs. If you're carrying luggage be extremely careful, pick pockets operating in teams are all over this station and they are exceptionally skilled with their crimes, when at this station always be cautious of your belongings.

Buying multiple tickets for one person and in one compartment is not permitted. You might not notice if the train isn't sold out. Or the conductor doesn't care. Or you have to pay the conductor a bribe. Otherwise the conductor may give your bed to someone else on a sold out train.

It is allowed to do so, just in a tricky way. I did this multiple times and never had conductor selling my beds to anybody else. Just buy 4 beds compartment for 4 different names and later tell that 3 other seats are your friends that did not show up but you have their tickets. Also when you buy tickets from https://booking.uz.gov.ua/en/ you can always see which seats / beds are already sold out.

It is true though that during high season you need to buy tickets in advance and trains will be all sold out (especially to south direction). Also train cars with 4 beds compartments (and cheapest ones that are called Platzkart. Big no-no for me) as a rule will most noisy cause they are number 1 choice for companies who travel together and drink vodka all night.

As for prices. The cheapest prices are on Tuesday and Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. They are the most expensive and Monday, Thursday and Saturday have regular price. I do not know though if they will charge extra when you access the site from non UA IP address. Trains are way cheaper in UA than that in EU but some of them are really old (and you never know how old the train will be if you travel over night), some maybe "shaky" and noisy like they have zero suspension at all.

Planes are the the best no doubt, I would suggest to not fall for buses if you travel long distances (more than 3-4 hours ride) cause many roads are still shit in Ukraine (though thet are actively rebuilding them).
