They probably took that piece of filth to one of the two nearby hospitals, either of which would have been easy to get a cab from there and rush to Borispol where he was later arrested. This one does not specifically say that you must have been here when the quarantine started on March 16.

But in any case I have been in contact with the local immigration office that tells me I have 30 days to leave after the quarantine ends.

If there is a quarantine, you can just stay until the quarantine is over, regardless of what official rules say. Just shrug your shoulders and say all flights out were cancelled so you were stuck in Ukraine. At worst, border control charges $35 (1000 uah) or similar fine for overstaying your visa, then says you can't return to Ukraine until 90 days has passed. I overstayed in Spain this spring and no one said anything on exit.

Personally, I'm delighted to be "stuck" in Kyiv with my sugar baby. No where else I'd rather be right now.

Back in 2018 when I inadvertently overstayed in Ukraine by 2 days, I was made to pay 1600 UAH upon exit at the airport. This is still not so bad. But during this pandemic, breaking the law and compromising public health, as they might argue, may cast a heavier toll, I'm not sure.

Yes, I believe the official rule is that for those, like myself, who were in Ukraine when the quarantine started in March, we can stay in Ukraine for 30 days after the quarantine ends.

And the quarantine has been extended month after month since March with no end in sight, so this is my situation.

But if I want to leave, I can do so anytime. But once I leave, I can only come back after 90 days, if the border is open.

This is also a terrible news for me. Although I'm still in Ukraine, my option was to go out of Ukraine and to come back in 3 months.

But the bigger issue for me is that if Ukraine is doing this, does it mean many other countries in Europe are also doing this? The Schengen Area might close the external border completely again. As of now I think the Polish border is open for the Ukrainians and those who have residence permit in Poland.

You can leave at any time since outbound passengers have no issue in leaving but it will be a major risk for you of not being allowed in later if there is a second wave of the virus, as many expect there will be. You have some tough decisions to make.

I do not think he had a plan. Or whatever BDSM intentions he had, they didn't play out according to his plan.

The scene of the crime is 4 metro stations away from downtown, not that far at all. Actually close to Ocean Plaza Shopping Mall. Very cheap soviet apartment. It is sort of on the way to KBP, but barely 5-10% out of the city center, still ways to go to the airport. He didn't appear to have a good getaway plan.

For this sort of crime he will not be treated well in jail at all.

And this is not once a decade misfortune. These things happen. This is why upon entering apartment girls assess the environment and check in with their phone dispatcher. Then closer to the end of engagement they get a call again. This is both for logistics and security. Routing the girl to the next customer and taking care of her safety.

In short, the Prime Minister and the Cabinet has today decided to close the border for entry to all foreigners except those with residency status or humanitarian workers, diplomats, the usual cast of characters etc from 00:00 on August 29 and will run until 00:00 on September 28. If you have plans to come during this time, you need to cancel or change them to a later date, but be aware that they may also extend the entry ban. It is all up in the air now for those who have plans to come here.

I sort of thought maybe he was faking it so he would be rushed to the hospital and escape before they found the woman. I suspect he was trapped in the apartment from the damage the "pimp" did to the door so he needed a way to escape.

Sorry, I cannot find the reference. The criteria Ukrainian Government uses is based on 3 factors observed over a sliding one-week window:

1. Number of infected per 100,000.

2. Percentage of used hospital beds.

3. Number of tests per 100,000.

I do not know how trustworthy Ukrainian data is. Too many things may skew its quality: unreliable tests, availability of tests, willingness of people to get tested, etc.

One of my regulars recovered from COVID in March-April, and didn't go for testing. She didn't want to get locked up.

And certainly statistical data can be tweaked and manipulated.
