It seems to me that the gorgeous girl have no problem finding rich local boy friends and "sponsors."

I think some of these posts on the forum as just BS. Kiev and I think Ukraine in general has become a complete waste of time and money.

I also think that only some Asian countries are what is left over of the gold paradises of mongers.

Kievapts 'specials' seem a bit pricey for this time of year. You should be able to get a really good price right up to May. And with the Ukrainian economy in the crapper and headed down still, negotiate! I always price shop among 3-4 agencies for my long term trips.

You actually get a better price at the taxi scrum at Borispil then you can with an agency pick up if you know what the market price is and are willing to say no to the first few. But as GT pointed out it’s always a good idea to get picked up by your agency. For that sad trip back to Borispil I always have the last girl I’m with call a taxi dispatcher the night before for a pick up. An hour from Borispil to the Center? Only if traffic is really heavy.

Furchette the supermarket located at the bottom of Mandarin Plaza is open 24/7 but after 10pm you have to enter via the parking garage. I haven’t tried Billa yet, well not directly IL was able to supply me with a packet of grated cheese that he bought there. Thanks IL, the cheese was awesome. Billa closes around 10pm or 11.

I stayed in an apartment on the corner of Basseina and Esplanadna streets, there is a Billa (a small supermarket like a Tesco metro) across the road at Bessarabska Square...sell fruit and veg, milk, bread, toiletries and more importantly lots of alcohol etc

Plenty of metros around and a 10min walk to Maidan Square, price was around $80-90 usd a night but the full details are on their website. I will use them again. I took a girl home one of the nights and having an apartment left me with no stresses about registering her or when she had to be out by...so much easier

I am planning to visit Kiev in May. Did some search on accommodation? Gia web site has provided some information on hotels/apartments. Their apartments start from USD55 which is cheaper than most offers on internet. Can anyone provide feedback on their service or recommend another service provider?

Also could anyone please provide information on the status/security charges of Khreschatik, President and Dnipro Hotel? I understand they are green but require USD20/30 security tip.
