Orangerea is open again for some while. It was indeed closed due to renovations. The clubs Cruiser mentioned are indeed the clubs to go and the place where the action is. Besides those there are two other new clubs in Kiev that are hot at the moment. It is Forsage and Prime.
About Forsage you can find some nice movies on youtube and Prime is the new Club outside of the city centre. It is situated where Club Rink was situated before.
Personally Kaif, Forsage and Arena rule!

Orangeria burned down... there was a big black hole in the Arena complex where Orangeria used to be when I was there late summer and I was told there had recently been a fire.

Probably remonted by now, but I have no new info.

I like Arena personally and (almost) always was happy there... same with Kaif.

I sent Banker a little info about the scene.

But I would have to agree about Tato, it's never really comes up when the boys get ready for a night of carousing. Besides it's a little far out there - a little bit past the old Club 111.

Cruiser recommended clubs in Kiev. Arena, 112, Orangeina, Caribbean, PaTiPa, Shooters, the bedroom of whatever apartment I happen to be staying in. That's a mix of clubs catering to a bunch of different styles. Personally I have Banker pegged for an Arena type of guy - as far as I know outside of the privates clubs it's the #1 upscale club in Kiev, if there is something else feel free to tell me. I'm sure I left a few good ones out but those are the clubs I bump around to when I am in Kiev. If anythings changed I'll toss in an update during or after my next trip.

I've read a lot on here about bars, restaurants (TGIF seems to be the most western friendly), and night clubs. I was hoping to find something on Tato, which is suppose to be a fashion club of some sort, but didn't find anything. I was just wondering if any regulars in Kiev heard or have been there. I'm from Chicago, and have spent a lot of time in NYC and London in the past year. I'm looking for the most modern and classy nightlife that Kiev has to offer - along with the gorgeous model-thin young birds.

I'll be in Kiev from Dec 21 - Jan 11 for my first time as part of my European vacation. Would be happy to meet up for a few drinks.

I'm not current on the Kiev scene having not been there for a few months, but I remember Tato as being pretty lame. They had a fashion show which featured sexy women, but I got nowhere when trying to talk to the models after the show. Very standoffish. Most likely already spoken for.

There were some decent normal birds there, but nothing super special.

I personally prefer Kaif, PaTiPa, Arena, 112 and Decadance... but as I said, my experience in Kiev is limited.

I also use MySpace to get a feel for what these girls are like. But they are bitches even in Ukraine and Russia. They don't act like they are in a hurry to leave their country. But then again, I surfed the Czech site on MySpace before I went to Prague. The women I met in Prague were better looking and seemed more accessible than the Czechs on MySpace.

Cruiser, it was my first time there and the girl was one I met at the hotel bar (where she supplements her daytime income). She took a liking to me enough to show me around town a bit, where we ended up at Arena. I was angling for a 'cheaper' experience through casual relationship, alas that didn't work out too well because she was/is nuts.

If our paths cross next month, drinks are on me if you're game.

Brandon, monetary matters aside. I really don't see the point of bringing a girl to a club unless she is a girlfriend of sorts - or if you enjoy dancing. Clubs are where you go to meet girls.

But even the Cruiser goes against his own advice sometimes - it pays to be flexible. I did the Arena thing with three girls. Two I brought with me and one I picked up there. Things that made it worthwhile for me - two of the girls I was having sex with at the time. The stares I got from other guys as the girls rotated in and out of the table and I was sucking face with each in turn. The table costs $200 up front and both the girls and myself are lightweights. We ordered about 4-5 drinks each got one hookah and I still think I left the waiter a $70 tip. As it turned out that wasn't such a bad thing - whenever I went to Arena for the next four weeks he made a beeline for me as soon as he saw me. Another interesting effect that shows you what a special place Kiev is and Slavic girls in general is that a girl I was dating saw the show I was putting on. The next time we met she tried to get all over me like an American woman would. I just went totally Slavic on her and said, so you should have join us, there was room for you. She fucked my brains out that night in jealousy. Viva la Kiev, I will be back in your warm embrace in three weeks.

Never let the girl pick the first meeting spot. TGIF is a good spot to meet if you are new to Kiev. Everyone knows where it is. Also, beware of dates that show up with a friend. I’ve had this happen to me twice. While in both cases the girls were very interest in me, which was evident by the amount of SMS’s I ignored. It just smacks too much of lets see what we can get from the stupid foreigner. But then again ever rule has it exceptions. I once had a girl show up with her super hot friend and I ended up dating both of them for a while. Oh, and I also get a lot of meet me at Arena – which means meet me outside Arena so you can pay for me to go inside and you can buy drinks for me. Taking a girl to a club is one of the silliest things I ever heard of. It’s like bring a book from home to read in the local library. I always tell these girls, sure I’ll meet you at Arena, I’ll be inside at the bar call me when you get inside.

Now I feel stupid, having actually brought a girl to Arena...actually her and her 3 friends. Though I didn't pay any entrance fee, just drinks.
