PS if you are at a dead end and are in a hotel ask for KYiv Post, thre are usually 5/10 agency advertising, the girls might be young and naive, but fuuck like rabbits (found so the infamous Mystery Tramp)... it's around 300/night.

I can second Uke Boy's statement... if you think you are doing great getting by with just English, you are still only tapping 10% of the market.
It is possible to get around anywhere with just English... even Cambodia or Bolivia for that matter... but you'll always be limiting yourself to the mercy of those who speak English... and in most parts of EE, it's less than you expect.

I assume that the "trouble" that you have is that you don't know a word of Russian or Ukrainian.
Except for the ladies that would want to speak with you in English, unless you have someone along who speaks Russian and/or Ukrainian such as an interpreter or a friend, you are out of luck.
Basic advice for you and others who want to come here: Learn some Russian (at the least) so that you can feel comfortable, get around and have more opportunities with more ladies. Otherwise your possibilities are rather restricted.

When I was in Kiev, I had trouble with the language, and I didn't want to ask the hotel to provide an interpreter to help me get laid. Do you have any suggestions?

No, at airport exchange is bad,,so, change the money in Independence square or in kreschatik, but never in evening ( ratio is worst), you will find everywhere places to exchange money
3. To go to river palace, how do I ask the taxi driver? when returning back print the apt. address and show it to him? Is this good enough? Any other tips on taxis?
Just tell him River palace they all know what is and where is it.
To return, when u will arrive to apartment write the adress in cirilic and in latin characters,,and show it to driver or tell him the street and number.
But be sure that being tourist drivers will ask u 3 times more than normal price. As I suppose you will be in downtown, try not to pay more than 20 hrivnas for any trip in taxi
