Well, I've just seen that the Ukrainian parliament has ruled that the election was flawed. Even though this doesn't change anything it might inspire the supreme court to do the same on Monday morning. The sooner this ends the better for us.

I fully agree with Mangus and Roger (bollocks) Mellie, that the present situation is the best for us mongers, however I believe that any changes in Ukraine are going to take a while to happen, so we will probably have a few years yet to enjoy the benefits of Willy Wonkas Chocolate Factory (Mangus, we'll leave the umpa lumpas for you).

glad to hear that you and the "man on the telly", are still in the persuit of excellence. I guess with you two around hogging all the 9's and 10's that only leaves the 7's and 8's for the rest of us. The generally pro-debauchery upbeat mood of Kiev has been replaced by some new found political consciousness that I find morally unsound. Make love not war!

Thankfully a few cocktails and dancing at 111 last night rescued RM and I from sexual abstinence and we rescued two vampress dyevs from their political concerns and provided them with an opportunity to fuck for freedom.

The girls are here, just many are at home and dont want to go out, or are out protesting on the streets. One girl told us that all her girlfriends are just not in the mood to party at all this weekend due to the political situation, so will be staying at home, or marching in Kreshchatik

Skank and I took a couple of dancing queen dyevs from 111 back to our apartment last night - at least they were party girls and they didnt seem to have to many qualms about speading their legs and getting a serve. Both looked kinda romanian / odessan with dark straight hair and dark eyes, but both 100% Ukranian apparently

Its a tough time to be on the lookout here now. The atmosphere is all serious and most dyevs seem more interested in politics all of a sudden. Clubs are only half full, and many people are a bit afraid to go out at night.

The streets are full and many dyevs are on the streets, but most of the girls I have seen on the streets are the average looking variety. Heaven knows where Kiev has hidden the fit birds

I am in Kiev right now and it is an interesting atmosphere. So far everything is peaceful, but we will have to see how long that lasts. As for clubs, I was at 111 , Tato and Chaikovsky... the crowds were down, but there was still an excellent girl-guy ratio. About 70-30 at 111 and 60-40 at Chaikovsky. Quality of girl is high, 7-8s abound with a sprinkling of genuine 9s...

A lot of expats are staying home or barricading themselves indoors, so if you are here it is like having the town to yourself.

IanJohn is right though, most student age dyevs are marching around during the day, but they are still hitting the clubs at night.

Haven't been to RP or ModaBar yet... maybe next week... provided the situation doesn't escalate by then...

From what I hear from friends over there, I can tell you that there's currently a very sharp dispute between the west evolving from Lvov and the east evolving from Donetsk..

As for the mongering scene, I think things will not be as good as before till at least the second half of January after the long 2-week-Christmas and New Year-vacation.

Meanwhile, it would be a good idea to meet the Ukrainian chicks in other locations abroad...

Fellow mongers - In Kiev at the moment and leaving tomorrow. The situation here is very much akin to Poland in 1981, and also harks back to E. Germany in the late autumn of 1989...
Believe me it's cold - and if violence does erupt, then the Putinites will have no qualms in quashing what so far has been a very peaceful & well organised demonstration for democracy.
Lives don't count in the Moscow way of doing things - and believe me you do not want to be around when the water cannon & riot police set about their work.
On the other hand however - you could just confine yourself to your hotel - and just watch this spectacle. At least you could say that you "were there".
Dyevs - are mostly freezing their tits off protesting - and the ones that are not, are the ones you would prefer not to touch.
