As per the suggestions on the board, i have been in email conversation with Alonya from www.alserent.kiev.ua appartments.

I do not have a USA passort and will require a invitation from Alonya for the stay.

I have in all of 5 nights in ukraine ( Dec 28 - Jan 2) and i do not want to spend all of them in kiev. Alonya can send me a letter only if i stay at his apartments in kiev for 4 days.

Help me out with other suggestions.

How can I get an invitation for 6 day / 5 night stay in Ukraine but not limited to stay in one particular city.

I want to correct one thing I saw in the forum regarding Americans receiving 5 year multi-entry business visas. I'm American and I did ask for, and receive, a 5 year ME visa as a tourist. I considered checking "business" on the application but figured it would only lead to more Qs from cold 'n clammy immigration folks. So at least in one case this is possible.

having finally received my posting privileges today, i will start with a thank you to all of you. i read the many past posts leading up to my visit to kiev last week. it prepared me for a number of things which i will share, as it verifies some and adds to a few other reports.

i was on business and did not have a choice on accomodations. i was at the president hotel kievsky. the hotel is dull as hell, has a strip club called night air that is way overpriced, and a casino that reminded me of being in church. however, at 10 pm sharp, a stream of girls arrive in the lobby bar(some go downstairs to casino). my 7 nights of quality checks reveals that they range from fat and smelly(no, she did not get to my room) to tall and very sexy(yes, she did).

automatic pricing - $150 euro for 3 hours. that's what they say. they pay security. you do not. i told every single one who talked to me that $150 euro was too much. three out of four offered discounts - $100 euro for same time. i took the offer twice, each time approx 1 am. in both cases i got my three hours and woke up for an extra hit in the morning. by 4am they just didn't want to leave. with these girls you do not have to pay security, but you do have to give your room number, which they in turn "register" with security. i had no problems at all, but just beware. youngest age in lobby bar - 25. so if you want the teens, this isn't the place.

Been lurking here quite awhile and most everything that could be said has been said on this board but I thought I would add a few items for those who may have more time to spend in Kiev to check out the more 'local' scene.

I live in Kiev but I am back in the US for a few weeks on business. I have a steady Ukrainian girl friend now so I have kinda slowed a bit on the PFP Kiev scene. But along that line I always had a great experience at a Strip Club/Sauna called The Queen Bee in Obelon. 5 Malinovskogo St.l Excellent selection of girls and sauna prices are reasonable. 150 hrv for sauna and another 250 hrv for full service. As far as local clubs (non-strip) in addition to the ones that Vega has so elloquently covered, I found much success both pro and especially non-pro at any of Eric's bars. Art Club 44, 111, and of course Eric Bierstraube. Many women looking for ex-pat action there and they come there knowing that is what they are going to find. Best advice is hook up with a local ex-pat (we are not hard to find as you can spot a foreigner in Kiev a mile away) and go from there. Most are more than willing to help a visitor provided that you keep the secrets of Kiev just that...a secret! It is definately the best city in the world. For many reasons.

Zair is a very interesting place located in the forest outside the city with a hotel near it.

Joss also has quite an attractive atmosphere.

Considering all, there's not so much difference between all these places in terms of good quality and possibilities of mongering.

Moreover,all of these also have disco sections full of youngsters of 18-21 age range.
