So true. And Rio on Thursday even at 9 pm had a very variable range of girls. Not as hot as expected from the previous posts. Perhaps a bad weekday night? I was told maybe if I waited in the restaurant downstairs for 2 hours they might be able to let me go up. They said to go to Mandarin so I did. They're run by the same people so it's not a case of face control. Mandarin is actually a lot nicer than Rio.

So Mandarin. They seem to have injected some money. One nice thing about this place is they have a pretty good cabaret show. The downside is that these cabaret girls are beautiful and perfectly fit dancers (real dancers). So they outshine the pole. Uh pole walkers. Whatever. The fat girls who get naked.

Since the last time I was there they seem to have put in a lot of lasers and fog effects, it's actually a decent place to go with a bunch of friends if you want to have some food and watch the show and maybe meet a girl. Just that the selection of girls is going downhill everywhere. There were a couple nice girls and they got snagged immediately by the guys from Istanbul who are everywhere. There was one girl there who was so fat in the belly she seemed to be pregnant (no exaggeration) and I was kind of stunned. I don't know why these places are accepting these girls as it is better to have less girls and / or just hire some gogo dancers to fill in if other girls get taken for the night than to have someone like that taking their clothes off.

The place got pretty busy and I took off.

From there I went to Star Nosorog which as usual was not too busy so that was nice. Sitting down here they make you do a 500 UAH deposit which would get you about 5 drinks. Better than the 3,000 that dolls wanted.

Most of the girls speak english here, there is no takeout option so they get more students and "nice girls" without the jaded look. So as a strip club to just drink and watch pole dancing (they actually dance here instead of walking around in a circle around a pole) with beautiful girls it's a big step up from the Rio / Mandarin thing. They run a promo every 20 minutes for 2 for 1 private dances. Private dances here are 300 UAH and since this is the only money making option for the girls other than commission off of your drinks and food, quite a few of the girls will give a pretty good dance that's worth it.

Usually here though you have the piranha effect of entering the club and sitting down, often the girls who don't get a lot of customers will immediately jump you and ask the Trifecta Questionnaire (where are you from / where are you staying / how long are you in town) to assess your wallet and capabilities for return. It's important to not let them push you but to just firmly say no. They like to push you to tip the girl dancing, nothing wrong with that, I don't like the pushing though because it sets a precedent and they do it only for solidarity (they don't give a damn if that other girl gets a tip, but they want the girl dancing to be pushing customers when the roles are reversed). Usually after a lot of "net" they will figure out you won't be an easy mark and leave you alone.

The nice thing about the 20 minute promo is that it keeps the girls circulating so you have opportunities at easy intervals to grab a girl you like AND you don't have the "Moscow problem" of being harassed every 30 seconds by a girl squirming in front of you for 5 seconds and then asking for a tip. In Moscow if you do that, fork over one tip for a squirming girl's "dance" everyone else sees it and then a queue forms and you'll spend the next hour with your wallet open handing out money. Better to say no to the first two than to let any of them see you hand out money and then have to fight them off en masse. Same reason I won't tip the girl on the pole because the other girls see it and will make a beeline for you all night for tips. While those who didn't get to relax in comfort and select who they want to spend time with and what they want to spend.

Anyway I can recommend this club, there are a lot in the Nosorog chain but each may be a bit different from the rest. Good for watching a show, bit of drinking, relaxing, take a dance or two and so on.

That said, not as many beautiful girls here as there have been in the past as well.

Everything I've seen keeps pointing to the same factors, way more many men showing up, especially locals and Turks, more money being flung around which I think is being syphoned off of US and EU aid when it comes to the locals. Foreigners showing up late to the game are paying what is required and that means inflation. Girls have departed with easier and longer sympathy visas available to Ukrainians and so we have in general, supply going down and demand going up. People on the supply side are still trying to figure it out but they're doing it all wrong. They should be promoting the hell out of the slow nights and they should be cranking the charges up on the busy nights. This will make them more money and give opportunities to people of all spending thresholds and that would maximize revenue and profit. It would also bring say stunners into availability for weekends, the kind of girls who don't seem to be around anymore. And keep the heifers off the poles.

But nobody ever said Ukraine was filled with people with great business sense.

Unbelievable that they would attempt this in downtown Kiev within a golf shot of 3 other established strip clubs. The girls were horrifying. This is not even by Kiev standards, this is like by backwoods Arkansas standards or the middle of the jungle in an undiscovered African tribe standards. Had WiFi that didn't work. Ordered whiskey, they didn't have it. There is nothing so bad as when an 80 kilo girl comes off the stage and tries to cosy up to you with her coffee and cigarette breath and says, "want private dance?" I called it a reverse strip club, a place where you pay the girls to put their clothes on.

From there to Solid Gold. Normally to go there on a Wednesday means you would be the only one there. About 8 guys which makes a busy night. With friends who counted more generously but I counted no more than 10 women to the 80 men on the side away from the dance floor. Probably more girls on the dance floor.

One beautiful girl ran the gauntlet of Turks with a full "the Scream" look on her face. She was with a young handsome European guy about 25 who would do absolutely fine in New York or LA. And you could tell she felt lucky. I stayed for one drink and had to bail the hell out of there. On my way out a Turkish guy was trying to literally and physically grab a girl and she saw him coming and did a two step run away and slammed right into my chest. She didn't look just took a dash when she saw the guy coming.

The highlight of my night was getting to McDonald's where they had no fries.

There are too many guys coming to this city to cruise. Turks en masse killed Buddha Bar back when it used to be good and now they have killed Shooters as far as I can tell. There was a lot of police presence but not on foot. Suddenly there is a fleet of Toyota Prius' going around with flashing lights. At night on Kreschatik you can't walk without having at least four police cars in visual range with flashing lights. I don't know if that is good or bad. For tourists police presence is kind of good unless the police want to talk to you then it's very bad.

I can't see myself returning to this city. With the problems and the good venues turning around and becoming crappy experiences and even the strip clubs being massive girls who would be too fat to dance in Atlanta, why come all the way out here?

I know visas became very easy since the conflict and a lot of girls got US visas and 2 year Shengen and so on and have just bolted. And those that stayed, I guess money is flowing into the city from foreign presence and the easterners coming in and anyone worth getting has been got.

Now. I thought some of the negative reports earlier on were just guys kind of protecting their territory. Like finding a gold mine and then planting rumors of ghosts. Don't come here it's haunted! Well I found out that Dolls got bad. It didn't really register though that things have changed here. And it's settling in now. Things have changed.

I did a quick trifecta of failure on the infamous Kiev Wednesday night.

Tried the new strip club "Flirt House".

Pros: Fairly large size club with a lot of seating.

Cons: pay money to watch cows dance.

I was the only one there and I lasted for one drink. I should have just turned and ran. Unbelievable that they would attempt this in downtown Kiev within a golf shot of 3 other established strip clubs. The girls were horrifying. This is not even by Kiev standards, this is like by backwoods Arkansas standards or the middle of the jungle in an undiscovered African tribe standards. Had WiFi that didn't work. Ordered whiskey, they didn't have it. There is nothing so bad as when an 80 kilo girl comes off the stage and tries to cosy up to you with her coffee and cigarette breath and says, "want private dance?" I called it a reverse strip club, a place where you pay the girls to put their clothes on.

From there to Solid Gold. Normally to go there on a Wednesday means you would be the only one there. About 8 guys which makes a busy night. Girls not bad, but the stunners who used to be there are gone. Just one heifer who had no place on a stage. She did some rubbing thing with her tits and I shuddered. I actually shuddered in revulsion. The last time I did that I think it was watching 2 girls1 cup.

People smoking in this club, the girls smoking and drinking coffee, someone has to tell them not to do this (it's not going to be me) because it's revolting when they lean in and try to talk to you. "Where are you from?" . "I'm from the Proctor and Gamble company and I'm here to sell some personal hygiene products!

On the way out, I got accosted for "security tip. " Never happened before. Guy kept pressing me, "Security tip, Security tip!" I said I'd have to go back in and get change and the guy said oh no, that's OK. So I guess he's not supposed to be hassling the clients for money on the way out after all. Wow.

Waitresses here though are always good, cheery, not the thousand foot stare / suicidal girls of Dolls.

Ok, so ran away from here. Went to take a taxi to Shooters. Guy I asked got surrounded by other taxi drivers who started yelling at him. Apparently he didn't know the pecking order. I thought someone was going to get knifed. I just kind of put my head down and waited it out. Ended up with another driver. That much crap over three bucks. Amazing.

Got to Shooters. Girl shaking he head at the entrance at the stream of guys coming in. That did not bode well. Got inside and it was like entering a transporter to Istanbul. Helllooooooooo Turkey! Place was not full, not because there were not enough guys there. I did a head count over about half the room and hit 80 men, about 75% from Istanbul looked like.

Every time our friends from Turkey descend en masse onto a club, the same thing happens. The girls vanish. The ratio of men to women on *ladies night* at Shooters was about 5 to 1 as far as I could tell. With friends who counted more generously but I counted no more than 10 women to the 80 men on the side away from the dance floor. Probably more girls on the dance floor.

One beautiful girl ran the gauntlet of Turks with a full "the Scream" look on her face. She was with a young handsome European guy about 25 who would do absolutely fine in New York or LA. And you could tell she felt lucky. I stayed for one drink and had to bail the hell out of there. On my way out a Turkish guy was trying to literally and physically grab a girl and she saw him coming and did a two step run away and slammed right into my chest. She didn't look just took a dash when she saw the guy coming.

The highlight of my night was getting to McDonald's where they had no fries.

So that is it. Sad thoughts my friends.

McDonald's has no fries and Kiev has no girls. Two things that would seem impossible.

There are too many guys coming to this city to cruise. Turks en masse killed Buddha Bar back when it used to be good and now they have killed Shooters as far as I can tell. There are locals coming into this city with a lot of money and making their presence felt. My first day I saw a guy cruising around in a custom Bentley. I'm thinking, these guys can't buy socks and medkits for the military and guys are cruising around in Bentleys? I donated $100 of medical supplies to the Ukrainian military and here is this ******* buzzing around in his billion dollar car.

The street is getting a little bit aggressive and sometimes scary. I didn't like the taxi drivers actions surrounding and threatening the one guy over five bucks.

There was a lot of police presence but not on foot. Suddenly there is a fleet of Toyota Prius' going around with flashing lights. At night on Kreschatik you can't walk without having at least four police cars in visual range with flashing lights. I don't know if that is good or bad. For tourists police presence is kind of good unless the police want to talk to you then it's very bad.

I got kind of creeped out for the first time ever in Kiev, I didn't feel OK on the street and if I want to sit in a room with 100 guys from Turkey I can go to Istanbul (no offense really to guys from Turkey, it's just that I like to come here to meet Ukrainian girls and because you guys move in a huge wave and flush all the girls away in front of you, you kind of ruin the whole thing. The girls are not into the aggressiveness and the lack of respect and the same thing always happens. The club ends up being 100% Turkish men, the girls know this so they don't go, and then after its all Turkish men nobody goes and after that the place is dead for a long time.).

I can't see myself returning to this city. With the problems and the good venues turning around and becoming crappy experiences and even the strip clubs being massive girls who would be too fat to dance in Atlanta, why come all the way out here?

I know visas became very easy since the conflict and a lot of girls got US visas and 2 year Shengen and so on and have just bolted. And those that stayed, I guess money is flowing into the city from foreign presence and the easterners coming in and anyone worth getting has been got.

I know some models here and 4 of them that I know got plastic surgery in the last couple of months, 3 of them with boob jobs. Girls are dropping $5 k on a whim and going all plastic. Someone is funding that and it doesn't bode well either way, girls going plastic is sad and people throwing this kind of cash around means you need to throw that kind of cash around too to just get someone's attention. The girls I know back home that are pretty and nice don't have this kind of cash to drop and I just think the entire situation has turned on its head pretty fast.

I've been dating a regular woman here in Kyiv so I've been out of the sponsoring game for a while. I recently decided not to date her anymore and thought I'the try a few different sites online to meet a young woman to sponsor and have fun with for a while. One university student I started speaking with seemed promising but I thought her photos were fake so I demanded a meeting at a coffee shop before I was willing to talk details. We met and she was terrific. Very young, pretty with a slim figure and impressive ass and cleavage. She could not have been more friendly and enjoyable to talk to. I thought I'the hit a home run as we both seem to be looking for the same thing. That was until we got into details.

I offered her 100 USD per meeting at 2-3 times a week, feeling confident she'the say yes. To my surprise she declined and countered at 500 USD a meeting. Yes, you read that correctly. 500 per meeting. What shocked me was how nonchalant she was about it. Apparently she'the been spending time with a man my age (late thirties) from Western Europe who'the completely spoiled her. I told her as much but she was adamant 100 USD was not enough. Even after a few long viber conversations, I was only able to reduce her to 200 USD a meeting, which I still will not pay. Ridiculous. She reminded me that she has plenty of men offering her sponsorship, which I believe as she really is appealing.

So, clearly I won't be meeting with her and will begin searching for someone else. I have a lot of former contacts here since I've been living in Kyiv on and off for nearly two years. However, I will keep hammering away at her hoping I can get her down to my offer. Needless to say I am appalled at how spoiled some of the girls here have become.
