I know it's not a democracy, but I vote for the Italian restaurant. Of all the alternatives I'm most curious what's down that road, although I suppose she is the easiest to put off for another evening.

I said in my last post concerning the exchange rate that I would report any change I see here in Kyiv. Well, there has been a definite change today. Most banks / exchange booths have 1 USD for 9. 2 to 9. 35 UAH. I even saw a booth in the basement of Ocean Plaza offering 1 USD for 9. 5 UAH. A dramatic increase from Tuesday. I've been reading reports that the UAH will soon hover around 10 to 10. 1 against the dollar for the rest of 2014. Anyway, not that I wish to belabour the point, just thought some of you who are planning to come to Ukraine soon might be curious.

You can always send me a PM if you wish to know the exchange at a later date. What the internet states and what the actual exchange rate is here is Kyiv is rarely the same. I always watch it closely as I keep a stash of American currency when abroad.
