One of our fellow board members who I met in Pattaya asked me to put together a "step by step" guide to entering Ukraine so thought better to put it here rather than just to him.

USA is a red country. Also load the Dii Vdoma app and answer the questions. They want you to enter your home phone number even though after you enter thru immigration you will probably be removing that SIM card and buying a local SIM.

Immigration will want to see a printed copy of your purchased medical insurance and also want to see you have the app loaded and questions answered.

After you exit baggage claim go up the escalator and turn left and follow the hallway to a glass walled office for Covid test paperwork to "avoid the 14 day quarantine" or some such wording. Ask for the paperwork in English and sit down at the table back by the escalators and fill it out. Go back down the escalator and turn left to the currency exchange / bank on the left. Change a small amount of money like $100 or less because it's a ripoff exchange rate there. But you need to pay for your Covid test in hyrvnia local currency. After you change money you need to pay for your Covid test right there at the currency exchange.

Then you go back up the escalator to that Covid test office again and give them the payment receipt and the paperwork you completed earlier. She will give it back to you and point you further down the hallway to the medical lab door on the left. It says to wait but I had to walk right in to get the nurse's attention. She will give you the test and then you're good to leave the airport. I bought a local SIM for dirt cheap before leaving so that I could use Uber.

Uber pickup was difficult. There is a designated pickup area in the parking structure but for some reason the driver tried to find me outside baggage claim. And of course he spoke zero English. Maybe I should have waited to request Uber until I was at the exact pickup location. The walkway to the parking structure is near the escalators. Walk all the way to the end and turn left thru the glass door. Walk about 50 steps and you will see painted Uber and Bolt parking spots in the middle. There are no signs to help you find this.

After you get settled into your apartment and after stocking up on beer and food you need to log into the app and indicate you are ready to begin your self-quarantine. I was ready to get caught up on sleep anyhow and after I woke up I had an email that I tested negative and when I looked at the app it said I was cleared.

Regarding entry yes Ukraine is open I entered a couple days ago. Bought medical insurance before leaving home from the visitukraine official website. Took the Covid test at the airport upon arrival (cost 1040 hrv) and had results back within 18 hours. Also had to load the tracking app in order to pass thru immigration so best to load and complete the questions prior to arrival. After receiving negative test result the app let me know my self-isolation was finished and automatically deleted all my personal information.

You must purchase a health insurance policy online from a Ukrainian insurance company or a foreign company who has a representative or subsidiary company in Ukraine and where the policy has full force and effect here BEFORE you come to Ukraine for the entire length of your stay. This policy you must show to the Border Guards or you will not be allowed in.

A friend told me that you can purchase an insurance at boripol airport, also you can do there the covid test.

Great to hear that someone who has visited 'apartments' is here! I was just yesterday studying the St. Petersburg as an alternative option for Kiev and was about to come here to ask opinions, and there you are, already making educated comments about the issue. I call this luck. So, as it seems, St. Petersburg has a great choice of "salons", with apparently real photos of girls. At least some of them are reported to have real photos, and they are taken in the same rooms as the services are provided. So, that would be really hassle free stuff. But how is it in Kiev, are there such places where you can go and expect to have a good selection of nice looking girls? I haven't ever been to such place, since I've always enjoyed the company of touring Czechs or local girls, but in a vacation that kind of option would surely become handy. It would definitely save a lot of time.

What my preliminary work has revealed is that suprisingly many girls are expecting 200 or even 300 dollars for an hour, 100 and 150 being also often mentioned. Those who are with agencies or compete with them are mainly for 2000-2500 UAH. I've managed to pin down two agencies which I'd consider worthsome (and who knows if they are the same, just different operator) to try, if the 100-150 dollar girls would feel like waste of money (since I can have my domestic favourites at the same price). Sadly, the effect that girls look good or even great in their selected few pictures and just mediocre in other pictures, which reveal the truth, is of course in effect when looking for company at dating sites and apps. So even 100 dollars would feel like overpriced.

Yeah I'd say easily over 90 percent are worthless profiles. Either they are agencies or scammers that say "I am not in Kyiv now" and probably want travel money. First question I ask the girls "are you in Kyiv now?" and few even respond anymore. And the agencies quit answering me too after the first week. So only the real independent girls respond anymore. Or maybe there's a couple stragglers plan on trying a more elaborate "send me travel money" scam once I'm in town. But I definitely got a solid list of real girls well worth the one month of membership. And I still have about ten days left on it.
