I brought $1500 USD cash, a travel ATM card with $2000 on it and my credit card in case of emergency (for 10 days. Hahaha) . I walked outside and the first thing I noticed was there were no street signs on the corners. My map I brought with me was now useless and I had no idea where I was (even a compass would have helped)! I was starving from a 20+ hour plane travel trip and I was beginning to freak out a little because I could not read any building signs. I walked around the block once hoping I would not get stabbed or robbed and the first thing I wanted to do was get some local currency. When I found and ATM, I put my card in the ATM machine praying it would come back out. It worked! Haha. I brought a pre-paid phone, but I had no card for it yet, so I got online and reached out to the primary girl I had been talking to and told her "Come get me. I have no idea where I am, I am starving and I have no idea which direction is north". So, this is where the fun begins.
