Wednesday

Arrived Kiev on flydubai. Had arranged to meet a mamba girl ($200 for 2/3 hours) at 7pm, then the plan was to meet IL later in the evening. Went and got a sim with internet access (a must, as most of the girls seem to use what's app) and bought vodka, mixers, smokes for the Mamba Girl (MG) visit. She is not a typical Ukraine girl in looks. Says she is 21, curvy, dyed blonde hair, and was a good laugh. She is a student and does this occasionally (so she says). Anyways, at midnight she was still at my apartment and seemed pissed off when I told her I was going to Shooters."Don't go there, stay in, it's better". Right.

So shared a taxi with her and wandered into Shooters. Ladies' night and the place was packed. Met IL and drank vodka (my initial attempts to buy a beer were rightfully laughed off). There was probably too many women to choose from, and having just arrived (and depleted my resources with Mamba girl) was content to sit, drink and watch the girls go by. Mamba girl started messaging me and at about 4am said I should meet her in Vodka Bar. Decided to go, and bade IL farewell.

Vodka Bar was pretty good. Lots of fit girls, more local men than in Shooters and a few Turkish guys. Met MG and had a few drinks. At 6am she declared she was going home, and (given there was still lots of girls in VB) I said fine, bye. Ten minutes later, I get a call. "Where are you? Why have you not left?" Turns out she was sat in a taxi outside. Take female logic and multiply by ten in Kiev. Ended up back at mine, and she stayed until 3pm the next day.

Thursday

After she left I was too tired to go out, and so watched crappy local TV, ate a pizza she ordered for me and drank a few beers. At 5am, get a call, from her, saying she was outside. So let her in, and she ends up staying until midnight Friday.

Friday

She leaves at midnight, and despite every intention of going to sleep, I start drinking beer and vodka and decide (at 6am, like an idiot) to check out Shooters, not knowing that 6am is chucking out time. So go there, it's empty. Have one drink, and get chucked out. It's now 6. 30am, getting bright, and raining. I check google for 'after hour club Kiev' and see (insert name of club which I have forgotten!) Go there and its packed. A bit of a 'druggy' crowd, but head to the smoking room and start talking to random people, including some friendly local blokes. At about 10, they say they are going to another club that is just starting, so drunkenly decide to go there as well. What follows is a bit of a blur. It's in what looks like an apartment block near my apartment – up some flights of stairs, and enter a ballroom of sorts. Bar at one end, DJ at the other and a large, empty dance floor. Music is derivative techno and house. Most of the crowd are on pills of some sort. At one point, I end up in a parked car outside ingesting various pharmaceuticals. Then back inside, more drinks and then, well, then it all gets a bit blurry. Remember being kicked out with two other lads, punches thrown, and really it's a blank. Walk back to my apartment with one of the guys, who seemed quite worried that someone from the club would follow me. It's now about 3pm. Get home, crash out. Pretty stupid, but then I have a history of stupidity.

Saturday

Wake up about 8, completely wrecked. Mamba Girl texts and I ask her to order me a pizza – she does which come with two beers. Drink them, shower, and still feel drunk. My right hand is sore and my right foot, and the memories of the night before start coming back. Try and sober up and head out to meet IL. He is at Avalon and has a table (of course) , so I get a taxi in the rain – only to find that they won't accept dollars and the woman behind the other counter won't change dollars. Text IL and he comes down and changes my money – we head back upstairs where some early 1990s black singer is belting out very cheesy hits – the standard of music across Kiev's clubs has been very grim.

Mamba Bird is there and with two Turkish guys so don't go over. Drink water to rehydrate and not vomit, and eventually brighten up. IL and his mate are great guys to drink with and I get Kiev Woman 101 part two from them. Eventually Mamba Bird demands I go and meet her, so I do, and bring her back to the table. IL and friend leave to Shooters and I stay for about an hour and head back to my apartment with MB. Drink a bit more and then crash out.

Sunday

Wake up, do the business with MB and she leaves about 5pm. The last few evenings are catching up on me. Wanted to check out the Rakuena massage place but too lazy, and so go and get a Mcdonalds and watch CNN. Pack bag and try and get some sleep.

Fly out on the Monday – overall a great, if somewhat messy trip. Next time, I will be a bit more varied in my hunting – but the MB was great fun, and apart from the $200 and a few drinks along the way, did not have to pay her any more. She was also definitely my type physically and very funny. So why refuse a good thing?

Looking at going back with a friend of mine at the start of June. Thanks again to Irish Lad for the generosity, much appreciated.

Advice for first timers:

Research is key – get the clubs you want to visit and take screen shots of their location on google maps. Then show these to taxi drivers and you will get where you want to go easily enough.

Pick the right apartment – mine was $70 a night and was very nice, right off Maidan Square.

Buy a Ukrainian SIM once you arrive – this will make everything that much easier.

Stock your fridge with booze, water etc – I imagine trying to get supplies at 3am with an impatient local girl would not be fun.

Bring some music on your laptop / iPad – otherwise you will be forced to listen to crappy, tinny R&B from the phone of whoever you bring back.

Is anybody else having an issue with Mamba? I had been sending out my usual daily messages but today had my account blocked.

I re-opened an old account and started sending out messages. I then got the same message again and I'm hoping its a temporary thing as I have so many numbers stored there. This is where LJ's advice to store them in a word document is crucial and now I'm learning my lesson the hard way!

Any advice?

You want to travel to Kiev on May 14 and you just started reading the Forum to prepare one week prior? It's May 7 now. I have to say that you have seriously hampered yourself by not giving yourself sufficient time to read the forum and extract the helpful information buried in all the chaff. So if you actually go, maybe you will have time to read enough of the thread to have come across the nuggets of good info that exists.

Having said that, what you need right now are some shortcuts. First, as to where to stay, that must be attended to yesterday. So perhaps you came across the recent posts in which kievapts. Com (which I have used successfully for last several years) was mentioned, along with some endorsements from other members of airbnb. Com. Get out an email to kievapts. Com immediately to see what's available now, and start looking on the other website too. Yes, you want to be downtown in the centre. It makes life easier. You may choose to prefer an apartment location closer to a bar or club you would like to be able to walk to, or prefer a location that is near a supermarket and other conveniences to make shopping (near Bessarabksa Square would be a good choice) or eating out easier. Get on Google Maps and familiarize yourself with the downtown area. Bessarabska Square is opposite the intersection of Kreshchatyk Street (at it's lower end) and Terasa Shevchenka Blvd. TheKnight has recently indicated in a recent post the locations of several downtown police or militia stations. Having an apartment in the immediate vicinity of one of the police stations can be a drawback because sometimes the officers may spot you as you are going in to your apartment with a girl or girls and may try to hassle you or the girls, which has been reported earlier on this thread.

As to where to go for p4p girls, you seem to have missed the universally discussed venue of getting girls to date off of mamba. Ru, a social website that in Kiev has girls seeking p4p with profiles on it, as well as regular girls on it. Since there is a preparation period of initial communications until a girl may be ready to meet you for a date, you need to get cracking on mamba to line up sufficient dating possibilities in advance, with their phone numbers at the ready, so that you will have sufficient contacts to date while in Kiev, given that most contacts will not pan out for a variety of reasons. I've tried to spoon feed you enough to be effective and have a good time in Kiev, but there is much more good stuff in the thread. You need to keep reading. One shortcut is to go through the references in the Reports of Distinction thread. Another shortcut is to read reports specifically by a particular author who you feel usually is a source of good useful info. I recommend you to read my own prior reports because I did make an effort to collate and pass on basic information for the benefit of newbies like you, so you will likely find something useful that way. All you do is click on the username of the poster you are interested in reading his prior reports, and a box will open up with a few choices, one of which is to "View Prior Posts", and you just click on that option to get a list of his prior posts. Those two useful shortcuts should lighten your pre-trip reading.

I am a bit strange about planning anything too far in advance. I tend to arrange my trips around the weather or family events I don't want to attend. Your advice about on line dating is funny because I have done that for years in latin america. I have noticed that the quality in Colombia from online dating has gone way down. Maybe it's just me getting lazy. I am on mamba but the last time I was on it it I couldn't figure out how to search out of my area. I'll get on it today though. Okay. I posted here a while ago because I was studying a little russianand wanted to make a trip to Kiev. Never happend. Now I have the itch again. I want to travel next week from the 14-23 of may.

After reading the report for hours last night and reading this morning when I should be eating breakfast with my kids downstairs I still have not gotten basic information on where to stay and how much women cost.

I spend a lot of time in central and south america and speak spanish well although I am white as can be and from the USA.

Can someone give me (the forum) a small cheat cheat on where to stay (I'm guesing city center after rtff) , some p4p bars and some regular bars? I do well in latin countries with regular women and plan to take a jab at the ukrainian women.
