What I wouldn't give right now for a squadron of A-10's from the Idaho Air National Guard taking care of the stalled convoy. They could get the job done and be back home before dinner. Add to that a Virginia-class SSN dispatching a couple of Russian warships to the bottom of the ocean.

HulaHoops, it is not my place to advise you on your best course of action IE to stay put or make a run for the border. Its probably to late to make a run. I just wish you and your buddies the best.

Dumb question, have you contacted your Embassy? I would notify them immediately if you have not done so already and let them know you are there.

Not much to report, some explosions in Kyiv but we are safe. Travelling to the border right now is not feasible. Russians have promised safe exit to civilians but of course one has to dodge shelling and missile fire. We are fine, staying away from angry Ukrainians and keeping our head down. No mongering to be had and it is not on our mind. Other Ukrainians are still somewhat suspicious of us. Blaming us for our countries not intervening however we are avoiding them and they have stopped attacking us. Such a shame that a country like this has become useless for mongering.

I don't know the situation there but if it were me and I could hire a driver I would risk getting shelled NOW before it gets worse and get the phuck out of there ASAP. What if the whole of Kiev leveled and even if underground what are your chances of survival? And if make it through all of that how would the Russians in a war zone treat anyone? Very latest in the media is Russian armor is heading towards a nuclear plant with intent to shut off the power (no electricity).

However as you mentioned you were attacked by Ukrainians and that may be the biggest risk. Also however if you knew a local guide(s) with "protection" who you could trust they could get you out by car to the border!

I wish you all the best and we all hope this can be ended peacefully soon.

And if locals ask why you there in the first place say considering retiring there due to low cost of living, culture etc. Kiev was a popular non-mongering tourist destination.

Yeah they physically attacked our group. It was out of anger. They blamed westerners and they blamed our countries for not defending them.

Attitudes towards westerners have really soured and become negative in Ukraine. I can see their perspective I guess, their country is being destroyed. Western countries are just watching.

I suppose they transfer that resentment towards western tourists. Eventhough we are the ones who bring money to their country. I've never been in a place that's racist to white people before.

I think Ukraine will definitely need a very long time for attitudes to relax before it is suitable for mongering again.

We have supplies and medication, we pay a local to get supplies for us.

As for the suggestion of making a Youtube video, the other members of our group will be against it. Members of our group own businesses abroad and so their faces would be recognized.

Plus people would ask why we entered the country. We can't say, "Well we came to sleep with attractive young women for cheap as we thought Putin would not invade. However the crazy lunatic did invade and now we are stuck here. The local men are angry with us because we are western and have attacked us. The women are not interested in having sex and to top it all off, we are under shelling."

It would make some great videos but our reputations would must likely suffer damage.

I hope you have a place to stay underground. They say the bombing could get really intense. Some experts think they may level the city like they did in aleppo in 2016. Did you know the actor Sean Penn went there to do a documentary on the invasion but then he decided to get the hell out of there. I think they drove as far as they could and then had to abandon their car for some reason. I cannot find a story that gives a lot of details on why he abandoned his car. Or how many miles he actually walked.

So I've been going to Germany alot for sex for nearly 20 years.

I had constantly thought about visiting Ukraine / Kiev but never got around to it. Lack of all day sex clubs like they have in Germany put me off, among a few other things.
