Coming to Kiev (for 1st time) in a few weeks. Need to book my hotel. Somewhere central!

Hotel Ukraine has been recommended by a local business contact. Location looks good BUT, is it guest friendly?

Is a "tip" to security also required for access?

I'm loving the info on this board about Kiev. Sounds like River Palace is a good place for first time visitors to Ukraine. I'm also planning a trip as a first time visitor, like others on this thread.

Have been viewing lots of Youtube videos and other video clip sites to get info on clubs and entertainments.

Has anyone any information about clubs Forsage and Arena?

In River Palace, yes, a lot of the girls will know some English, or will call over a friend who does. Don't know anything about Forsage. I never made it to the nightclub portion of Arena, which was closed the days I was there, just the bar/restaurant downstairs. But judging by that and its location (central) I would imagine that many of the girls would speak English. When I was sitting at the bar at Arena I saw several pretty hot girls come in the lobby, I guess expecting to go to the nightclub, which as I say was closed that night. Or maybe there is another venue I was unaware of other than the downstairs bar and the nightclub?

Not as central as the Hotel Ukraine but within walking distance of the main downtown attractions. The facilities were pretty good, almost western standard and it is very girl friendly. In the early evening girls from the strip club parade through the lobby bar, trying to entice guys into the club. And after a certain hour the lobby girls arrive and ply their wares, fairly discretely. Nice looking girls, but nothing special, although I heard rumours of hotter, sluttier girls, whom I guess were otherwise occupied whilst I was in the lobby. I think it was 125 Euros, but I did not partake. When I brought girls back from the River Palace I had to give the security a tip, I forget how much. In hotel Ukraine you will never get three things:

1) a decent room;
2) a good breakfast;
3) a nice girl in your bed!

Heard that the security have some old dogs.... at five times the normal price of a 19 y.o. student

No, River Palace is still open and business is booming.
I was there a couple of times in January and it was packed both nights - with girls at least, not too many guys partaking of their wares, but I may not have been there at peak hours...

I am sure for people who have the time, talent and expertise to develop their own contacts or work more mainstream venues, River Palace is an unnecessary and over-priced rip-off joint.
But for those in a hurry and after a sure thing, it is a real candy store filled with delightful possibilities. Plus it is a fascinating window on human behaviour.

I think you are totally right... (it was so even 4 years ago, I did not meet the MT, Lol...ita, or Miss U. there. Not even Inga!) but you know I am often travelling with people not never been in FSU, but never ben out the main countries in UE (D, F, I, GB, maybe E, BENELUX, A and S...).

They think they are in a kind of teen supermarket!

I was curious about your response and went back to your post and the replies. You have a very thin skin and combined with a lack of basic language comprehension as to how to read posts, it creates this paranoia in you. Yes, I am being very critical.

The only real critic was Gentleman Traveler. The "mirror" he was referring to was not your looks. In this area, it seems you have quite an ego. He was referring to your approach, your inner self and how you look at things. Given your present response, you have a lot to work out.

If all you will ever do is visit River Palace, you will get ripped off quite a few times and it is a lousy picture of what is actually here. I have been here a long time and have enjoyed most every moment.

As for the super rich, get off that old shtick. There are so few of these guys and they have their own way of finding what they want. For the rest of us willing to put in the real effort, there are literally millions of other girls here, it is a candy land.

What counts here is attitude and of course money. Looks are of less or little importance.

In general there is not much porn to be found since meat on the "streat" is cheaper to get than movie fantasies.

I doubt it. Since Porn is not illegal in Ukraine (unless medical, for whathever that's worth!), they would run very thin on revenues. Porn in those stores is usually a major source of sales.
