As reports have been rather thin of late I thought I'd come out of the shadows and post some info having just got back from a weekend in Kiev. Although this is my first post I have been visiting Ukraine since 2009 and even managed a visit to RP before it was towed away.

The most obvious thing to say is that the falling price of the hryvnia is making restaurants and clubs pleasingly cheap. It also seems to have stopped any increase in $ prices for P4P.

I should also emphasize that Central Kiev seemed to perfectly safe and indeed extremely quiet.

Mamba.

I have used Mamba in the past and collected a long term girlfriend in consequence but I find the site increasingly less helpful for weekend warriors like myself. Pros can no longer blatantly advertise P4P and freebies seem to have become so cynical of western men that you have to genuinely enter into a relationship to get anywhere. Many if not most of the photos are also deceptive. I am sure those more long term residents of Kiev are more successful but for me Mamba only seems to result in rejection or girls who genuinely do want to enter into long term relationships.

I know Gia has few fans on this site but the prices charged by some of the girls are getting increasingly close to the prices charged in Rio or by some girls in clubs. I have had at least one 9 from this site and all of the girls I have seen have been punctual, presentable and passionate. Even the more professional girls have turned out to be quite sweet after a glass or two of wine and one or two of them were actually real GFE. The line up seems to have become younger and more attractive of late so don't ignore Gia if you can afford it.

Clubs.

Sky Bar seems to be turning into something more akin to River Palace. I visited last year and it was a genuine nightclub with perhaps 50% pros and semi-pros but last weekend there were so many single girls around the bar that there was barely room to dance. As I bought company (assuming it was still a nightclub) I did not inquire of prices but there were some stunning girls there.

The quality of girls in Avalon is nowhere near as good as Sky Bar. A fact which is not properly reflected in the prices charged. I like the shear kitsch of the place but there is no other reason to go there.

Rio.

After all the brickbats received by LittleJoey I decided to check out Rio for myself on my last night. Suitably suited and booted I was immediately ushered into the VIP lounge. Entrance was 200 hryvnia, private dances 400 hryvnia and the drinks were similarly priced to my hotel. The establishment is extremely well run and safe. The manager Andrei could not be more helpful. Indeed the reception compares well with most clubs in Kiev.

I was impressed by the line up and by just how nubile the three girls I took for a private dance were. They were as fresh as any girl I've ever taken from a club.

The girl I took out ($300) was simply lovely. She had the most perfect skin and was tall and thin as the best Ukrainian girls always are. We had a great chat over dinner (she was of course at university) and then she simply fucked my brains out. DATY was allowed BJ was covered but was so seamlessly performed that I didn't really notice the difference. As I lay there exhausted she picked up my phone put her number in phoned her phone to see that it worked and then told me she would love to see me again and rushed off for the 5 pm deadline at Rio. Now we are exchanging emails and arranging to meet next time I am in Kiev.

Everyone's experiences are different but I'd like to thank LittleJoey as without his post none of the aforementioned would have been possible.

Conclusion.

Kiev is still alive and kicking as a monger destination. The falling value of the Hryvnia is making most things cheaper and in the light of the current crisis, Russians are no longer as popular. Ukraine is waiting to embrace the West so get your arses over there!

Yes, since there is a very low limit now on how much foreign currency anyone can purchase from say a bank, there is a "secondary market".

But IMHO it does not make so much of a difference unless you plan to handle very large amounts. I had this checked some days ago and the potential profit was basically more related to who one happened to get hold of, than some "official black market rate". It is very volatile. So unless you wish to do someone a favor and help him / her to get a larger amount of for example USD or Eur, I think it is is a waste of time to chase those extra grivnas. Better chase some extra poonani instead.

The rate when I was there was only 16:1. Now the boards read, as you say, up to 24.9 : 1. The Grivna is in a freefall! The exchange offices will give you a fair rate for your USD, closer to the 24.9 you have stated. I have never felt ripped off when exchanging USD to Grivnas.
