I am not sure that "herd immunity" applies to Covid-19. In testimony today, Dr Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the USA, foresees a possible huge increase in cases in the US up to 100,000 daily new cases. This is with lots of unmasked dolts and idiots in bars, restaurants, public transport and elsewhere. Florida, Texas, and now California seem to put the lie to "herd immunity. " It is about the same here in Kiev as I travel about. I occasionally take a bus or trolley and only the singular jerk rides with the mask down or some even without a mask. I do not take the metro since that is probably Covid-19 breeder number 1. I try and take Uber wherever I go long distance and I also make the driver wear a mask if he has not done so already.

Those Swedish statistics are very arguable given that their neighbors have shut off all Swedes from entering Norway, Finland, Denmark, etc without a quarantine, let alone any other EU country. I would ignore and not consider the Swedish model as valid.

If you want to believe in herd immunity, and I do not, you can do so at your own risk. No current study shows that this is the case so far since it is far too early in the process. i, for one, have no desire to contact the virus in order to prove herd immunity.

BTW, the author of the article in your post is a Swede. That makes him most suspect as to the validity of anything he states.

Ordinary Ukrainians, with those few exceptions such as seasonal workers, students, diplomats and asylum seekers cannot, for now, enter the EU. The trouble is that Ukraine is not only in the red zone but also, unfortunately, has a growing rate of infections. Whereas two weeks ago it was 37 per every 100,000, it has now grown to 57 per 100,000, whereas the amount acceptable for the EU to allow entry is 16 infections per 100,000 population.

I fear this rate will only increase given how many here just do not regard this as a serious matter.

Ukraine was on the original list but it looks like they maybe will be removed.

But still alot of country allow People from ukrain to come if they have something to do in the country they are visiting, could be husband / boyfriend.

But yes there was an spike but it could look like its going down again now (could be to low testing).

Ukranians can enter EU already, on work permissions and in alot of other cases also.

Ukrain is BTW. On the list that should open up on 1 Juli according to EU.

I use a VPN and it doesn't make a difference. The "looking for sponsor" option is gone.

I guess those girls just go to SA these days.

I saw this option in app around Jan, when I last used this app. But one of my friend always said he couldn't find it. Now I think maybe this has something to with location / network. If you can, try using VPN to access different location. Maybe it is geographically blocked.

2 of then have offerd to help and supply these insurances there already.

1 of them alreadt helped me.

Bought the insurance for me and send it before getting money from me also.

Yes ge know there is coming more business from me in the future also.

So if anyone need insurance and can't find themself then buy it from these groups.

I paid around 35 eueo for coverage of 6 months covid19 insurance.

They had coverage all down to 10 euro but I prefer to have a higher coverage.

She works for the government for her main job. She freelances as an interpreter for the local dating agency to make extra money. But we are friends and she does things for me for free. And the girl I want to meet speaks English so the interpreter won't be working for me and she knows that. But we will meet up while I am there. I asked her to meet this girl and she took her to a cafe pre-COVID and had a long conversation with her about me. So yes, she helps me in a way and I do pay her for that. But she wants me to meet this girl because we are a good match.

I sense a potential conflict of interest here. Interpreter makes money providing service for you. Of course he wants the things being good in August. Does he work in health care?

Virus doesn't care what interpreters, politicians, and oligarchs think. Even what I, the mere mortal member of this Forum, think while trying to extrapolate based on info available for the last few months. It is not deterministic.

I do not want to be a number in statistics where everybody walks around without masks, and I am the one recovering in the best Kiev clinic. Yeah, those Ukrainian nurses are sure lovely, but I have other ideas about passing my time.
