For the last 3 years, Kiev has been under a cloud in many ways but the situation is just as good as always. Girls who wouldn't reply to my messages on Mamba 3 years ago are now writing to me. Salaries are in the $200 - $300 range and the number of sponsors has reduced in line with the economy. Foreigner numbers are lower than ever before and competition is almost gone.

For users of Mamba, some tips:

1. Go VIP.

2. Change your location to Kiev 7 days before your arrival.

3. Line up 10 - 20 meetings for the duration of your stay.

4. Don't bother bullshitting about your aims. Say you are here for business reasons and need some female company in between meetings.

Usual rates are 1,500 - 2,000 for an hour, 2,500 - 3,000 for the night. Anything else is too much.

As many have stated here, do your homework before you arrive in Kiev. I mine Mamba always, but a few weeks before going to Kiev I make a heavy effort to mine the interested girls for meetings. I am pretty much straight forward with what I look for and tell a girl to meet whose photos I like. As regards nightclubs I think you are adopting the wrong approach if your are trying to speak to girls who are dancing. The pros and semi pros hang around the bar they don't dance because they are working. If a girl is dancing for any length of time and so not just to attract attention then she probably wants to dance or else has already secured her client for the evening.

Just go to the bar in any of the usual spots and order a drink. If a girl looks at you for any length of time that's an invitation to come over. Some of the best looking girls may be a bit more disdainful but that is all part of the show and is just to put you on the back foot in terms of negotiations. A girl on her own in a bar is a pro, a girl with another girl is a probably a pro or semi pro. They tend to hunt in twos so that larger groups may well be just on a girls' night out.

However just because a girl is a semi pros doesn't mean she's going to go with anyone who offers her the right money. They are not like the girls in a salon (brothel). These girls are there because they've got to pay the bills but many of them are also looking for a nice evening and a man who will treat them nicely. Most of these girls will be immaculately dressed and as well as earning themselves circa $200 they would also appreciate a little glamour in their otherwise dull lives.

This is an important consideration because how you look and dress and how you behave may well effect how much you pay and whether they agree to go home with you at all. Never assume anything with these girls. Oh and don't expect the barman to help you as they pretend nothing is going on.

When you approach a girl keep it simple and be confident. Introduce yourself say where you're from and be as open as your circumstances permits. If she doesn't speak English you'll know immediately and you either reach for your translator on your phone or give up. If you like her then ask her if she wants a drink (150 hryvnia) or even just what she's drinking. Usually the girl will mention money first but if she doesn't just say something along the lines about helping her with her expenses.

Some members of this forum bargain like they are on the stock market floor but that's not my approach. In reality the range is usually somewhere between $150 -250 depending on the looks of the girl. If you get an opening bid of $400 just smile say she 's obviously worth it but that you both know that's too much. Judge your own bid carefully and if possible get her to bid against herself. What you're ultimately offered will depend on the girl's looks, how busy the bar is and the time of the evening. If it's late and the the competition is a bunch of sleaze balls then you might get a good offer.

Don't haggle. The negotiations should be over within a few minutes at the very most. If she won't budge and you don't like her enough then just smile and move on. She won't be offended and may even come back to at a later stage in the evening.

Also don't hesitate. If you see something you like go up to her immediately. If you like her then so will others: if you snooze you lose.

Some members insist on negotiating length of stay and services but that's not my approach and I suspect many of the girls I've met would be offended by such tactics: there are degrees of pros. I personally just say that I plan to get a drink or a bite to eat first and is that OK with her; it almost always is.
