You "working girl-proof" your apartment, just like any other time you invite strangers into your place. Put everything away, in your suitcase, zipped, upside down, in your closed closet. The exceptions are (1) the money you are planning to give her, (2) your keys, particularly if the apartment locks form the inside as well. That way she cannot leave until you deem everything is in order, and (3) a camera, if you want memories and she lets you. Keep the camera in an obvious, open place so if it goes missing, it will be clearly evident, (4) your phone, beside your camera, and your keys (5) an ample supply of condoms.

And of course, keep her in sight except when she goes to the bathroom, and do not go into the bathroom by yourself for 10 minutes (why would you?). With some simple precautions, you can even handle a party with 2 or 3 girls, with your mind at easy you can concentrate on the sex.

Personally, I never bother to start chat with girls who have loads of unanswered messages, because I assume that have "star" attitude because all the attention they get (I know that I will have, if I am on their place)

Jocky, it's definitely an issue if you don't have a safe, so always best to check with the booking company first. Consider that you'll have a cleaning lady at least once during your stay (who won't necessarily be there when you will) , plus the girls you invite over (who aren't necessarily suspect, but as Beria always used to say "Trust, but check!").

Ugh, bed bugs? Why did someone have to mention that. I am so paranoid about this, especially with traveling. In the US it is a huge problem, so I imagine everywhere else even more. I am so happy to not be in hotels, but soon plan to hit some hostels in Eastern Europe and hope the situation has not worsened.

I see some jerk with a sleeping bag in the hostel and berate him for his stupidity. I don't care if it is brand new, that is how they spread!

+1. VIP for two months only costs 15 virtual coins (about us$15) , and allows you to stand out in the crowd. Not been on this thread for a while but I am now back in the fields and seriously have to think about my next trip to Kiev which is coming soon.

Currently RTFF so as to pick up any precious info I could have missed. The point is I need to decide where I will stay this time, I am fed up with my hotel. Having to bribe the security each time you bring a girl in, plus it's far away from action & business, etc.

This time I want a good location, e. G. Maidan sq or nearby (by "nearby" I mean "within walking distance").

Had a look on Tripadvisor, all the hotels you can find on Maidan in the €70-80 price range (what I can afford, or more exactly, what my boss can afford) have interesting features such as bed bugs or overseers to whom you have to leave your room key and who control your comings and goings. Excellent. Not that I really mind being seen with a hooker, but by the smell of it bribes will be on the menu as well.

SO, I definitely have to try the apartment option this time. I know a lot has been already posted and I have already started browsing apartment websites, but there are so many options and I am running out of time a bit, so if anyone knows a decent apartment in a reliable agency, on / near Maidan and max. €70-80 per night, and would be so kind as to PM me the agency's contact details and refs of the apartment in question, etc, it would be most, most appreciated.
