I was wondering if anyone had any experience with ukrainedate.com? It presents itself as a more "legit" dating site however I get the feeling there are alot of scams invloved too.

From my experience, none of these so-called date sites are legitimate, especially if they include Ukraine or Russia.

A little internet snooping shows this is worse than mamba since to get real information you have to pay to join. Not a good sign, especially if you leave them a credit card.

One other factor leads me to think this is actual FRAUD. Here is a list of top cities contributing traffic to Ukrainedate.com: 1- Kiev, 2-London, 3-Hospitalet De Llobregat (???), 4-Istanbul, 5-Houten, NL(???), 6-Lugansk Scam capital of Ukraine, 7-Dnepropetrovsk, 8-Odessa, 9-Cebu, Philippines (??????!!), 10-Mlaga, ES 11-Budapest.

It is a very odd list that leads me to say stay away at all cost.

I think they are just fishing for live e-mail addresses to resell to other scammers (porn sites, whatever).

But yes, if there is just one photo and almost nothing in the profile, then it is probably false and a waste of time.

Sorry but of course, you can't get away with this kind of nonsense. You can try to dump it in with a bunch of other stuff to try to dilute it, so no one will notice, but that doesn't fly either.

You can however, do what I suggested, and search 18 to 21 years, in any given large city in the provinces, and narrow the search to girls looking for sex. Maybe that's what you call slutty hard body profiles? But that's not what it is. Its 18 to 21 yrs girls, and its looking for sex, instead of looking for love.

If you do that, the majority are NOT real, because if you simply change the city you search in, you will begin to notice some of the same photos but now they have a different name.

If you change your search to looking for love, you don't all of a sudden change to a majority of real profiles either. You will still find page after page, where most profiles have the exact same text. One photo, same age range, etc.

Mamba used to be legit, it was very useful. I hooked up with relative ease, in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

But this year? You better move on and find something else.

Yes, a few years ago, it was no big deal to find mostly real girls, but now, if you do a search in practically any large city, just for example Donetsk, search for 18 to 21 years, girls looking for sex, you will see the exact same profile written for nearly every girl, and all have 1 photo, and all are looking for a guy 18-40 years.

Then search any other city, let's say Odessa or Dnipro or Kharkiv or even any Russian city, Samara, or Kazan, or Rostov, its practically almost all the exact same girls photos, with the same exact profiles, but sometimes the names are different.

Its totally fake, 90% of those girls do not exist.

I have spent a lot of effort in the last two weeks on Mamba. Most of what I have seen bears out the comments above from Bez Bezarra. However, most Ukrainian women don't make enough money to spend a big proportion of their time creating fake profiles and giving "run around answers." Some one is creating these profiles and trying to make money doing it.

Bez, can you offer any explanation that holds water? What are the economics of fake profiles?

What I have seen is that sometimes two or three profiles (Who knows? maybe 50 profiles!) are the same girl answering messages with exactly the same "cut-and-paste" phrases in Russian. Why do they answer the messages at all?

Have you seen these phrases which seem designed to just keep the fish on the line?

I could give links to the profiles, but I doubt it would save anyone significant effort. The more astute among you have probably noticed that these "cut and paste" phrases are in Russian. So I will modify my question: What are the economics of doing these fake profiles and then exchanging messages with guys who at least read Russian?

This has been my experience. If you tally up the time spent learning passable, basic Russian comprehension, sifting through hundreds of profiles, etc, then Mamba is one of the most expensive ways to get laid.

But if you want to find a genuine non-pro, or a genuine travel companion ("semi-semi-pro") then Mamba is a great option.

The majority of the profiles are indeed real, but of course if you start looking at slutty hard body profiles that were posted in the last 24 hours, then most of those are of course fake.

Some notes that worked for me:
-if you use google translate, or babel fish, try a double translate check (where you input the translated russian into a different translator and see what comes back in english)
-if you don't understand Russian, and are using a translator, admit it in your first post with a little (sorry for my bad russian). also, write in short sentences, and avoid vernacular use, etc. try to learn the basic rules of russian grammar, and that will help you know how to use the translator
-pay someone to translate your Mamba profile into russian, (but once again, admit that you speak russian poorly)
-avoid profiles posted recently, or with only a few photos
-get VIP status (you can pay via credit card)
-don't open with a redundant phrase like "nice profile, I would like to get to know you"/etc, that is simply self evident from the fact that you wrote in the first place
-be bold, don't say the typical "I am a nice polite western man". Once you tell them you don't speak russian, they will know you are western, and by extension polite (compared to most FSU men)
-in your profile leave to door open for romance or sex - even if she is open to slutty sex, sometimes she wants to indulge in her illusion that she is really seeking romance
-use double meanings, rather than crudely asking about sex. if you are crude in asking for sex, then it suggest you will be crude in sex, and you will get only hardcore pros.
