With the strong right to have my own opinion, I do think that Ukraine is far better than western Europe and US. One thing I would say is that, there might be many who came to Kiev with a lot of hope but got burnt with prices and bad experiences. Well (in my opinion), these bad experiences are just because of your mistakes. If you behave as desperate sex tourists showing off money and status, then there are much more smarter (yet poorer) people who will take advantage of you. This is not only in Kiev but anywhere in the world. Just go there will reasonable expectation, and knowing that Kiev is "Comparably" better than the country you live in.
