People who suggest that you used to be able to just turn up to kiev 10 years ago and be rolling in pussy are perpetuating a myth. Kiev takes work.

The fact it, Kiev isn't a decent mongering destination for people who don't speak at least basic Russian (and Ukrainian is better these days). Agencies are hit (and mostly miss), strip clubs are expensive (for takeout) and there isn't a "red light" area like Bangkok or Frankfurt. You have to make your own luck, and it takes time and patience, the same as it's always been, and anyone telling you any different is bullshitting.

My posts do reflect the experiences of most mongers in Kiev, especially the newbies or the want to be Kiev mongers, though they don't reflect yours.

My experience stated in my posts is supported by other posts from other senior members. Most mongers here don't have a 12 years of network as you do. Neither do they have the language fluency as you do, and etc.

I simply wrote to bring attention to those mongers; so they won't be eluded if they so chose to come here.

You really should not be reading my posts and try to relate them to yourself but try to put yourself in the shoes of those mongers who have less years of network or are the new comers.

If you're a first time visitor to kiev you had better have developed a good contact network before you arrive. Dating sites and social media have always been (for me) the easiest and best way of accessing young hot girls. The nightlife in Kiev is fun, but even in the old days, if you were a foreigner hunting solo, you were treated with suspicion until you could prove otherwise (unless you were at the RP).

There is no nightlife. Just a bunch of workaholics. Many people and girls I know work, work and work many hours. One girl wrote me that she works from 8:00 to 23:00 in a store!

- City: Especially in center. Air impossible to breathe. I felt unhealthy from 3 day and still feel so tired someday without any explanation. Sometimes I walk and seems like something thick enter the mouth. I love Kiev but is getting worst and worst. Luckily I stay near a park so can jog everyday.

Yeah, the air quality is awful, full of pollution everywhere.

You can not get a breath of fresh even in the park because there are always people smoking everywhere, even in the park and inside your building which permeates secondarily cigarette smoke into your apartment and stinks it up!

For nonsmokers, it's definitely a terrible place.

As soon as I got out of the building, I can smell pollution and always some awful smells on the streets. I am talking about the prime areas in the center.
