Just to make things clear: It is "Monarch", the cafe/bar/disco just at the corner besides McDonalds.

Realistic report, I, German, a frequent visitor to Nikolaev, spending about 1/3 of the year there, has to confirm.

But I prefere "Felicitas", opposite McDonalds:
Girls, passing by, can easier and simpler get in touch with foreigners, because "Felicitas" is cheaper, and easier just to sit down for a tea.

Just got back from a great 2 weeks in Nikolayev. I had previously made contact with a lady there who arranged apartment where we lived. Apartment was great, full 1 bedroom modernised place 1/2 block off Sovetskaya across from McD's. Cost was $50/day.
I didn't chase P4P as I was quite content with my lady there but there is lots available. Best place I saw was on the lounge in front of the monarch starting about 2100h. Usually 4 or 5 all in the 7 to 10 range. I now know several expats living there, American, Dutch, Kiwi, German and everyone says that women are the best they have seen in Ukraine. Costs range from $100 up for evening, more for all night.
It would be worth time to try to arrange a lady or 2 before hand through a contact or even dating site. Most of these however are a bit shady. One thing that became abundantly clear quickly was the rate of sucess that guys were having working through some of these agencies. One guy from US was on 2 week trip, his itenerary read Kiev>Odessa>Kherson>Nikolayev>Kiev>Odessa then onto Riga and Talininn. Most of his travel in Ukraine was by train as well. His chief complaint " The girls I meet don't think I'm serious!"Needs a serious reality check. Several tourist types came here wanting to hook up with 4 or 5 girls a day figuring that they could score better this way. Just don't work, these ladies are beautiful, usually well educated and know the score. Most won't even consider P4P one nighter. For those of you looking for a lifestyle change, Nikolayev can be a true wonderland but you need to prepare a bit, learn some Russian, be prepared to treat ladies you meet with the same respect you would in US, France, England or Australia. Once you earn their respect you can have the time of your life. For those of you only here for a couple of days, Ukraine is drying up a bit this way, Ukraininan girlsare not nearly as desparate as a few years ago but if you got the cash you can find a decent one for a night. Given the vast selection of 25-40 women per night, I just have to ask:

#1. Why did you take home not very good looking women? I went 4 times to the port on my trip and there were always at least 5 that we smokin hot, why would you pay for an ugo or fatty when you can have better.

#2. Although the sex is more mechanical than with a girlfriend, what do you really expect? They don't care about anything other then separating you from your money and you get to squeeze into their sweet thighs. Do you actually expect them to give you a gfe? Out of the 4 women I had, 3 were great experiences and the 4th was average.

I personally would suggest avoiding the street girls in Odessa. They are known to have STDs (be SURE to wear your condom) and I've heard of several incidents with scams and rip-offs where people pay and don't get anything in return.

That said, the easy way to get to the port (other than by taxi) is to simply walk down Tchaikovsky street (one block from Deribasovskaya - the street that runs past the Opera house). If you walk straight down that road toward the sea, at the bottom you will come to a staircase (NOT Potyomkin). Go down those stairs and hang a quick left to get to "hooker central." There is also a small bar just below the stairs and just before you turn left. That bar is LOADED with pros because its their "off-duty" hangout.

From the steps - go to the bottom of the steps and hang a right. You will need to walk a good 15-20 minutes and you'll come to the Odessa harbor on your left. Hang a right around the corner and Monday thru Thursday you'll find 10-20 women. Friday night you'll find 20-40 women and a very big variety to boot.

I tried to find the harbor another way through other streets but was not so lucky - after 90 minutes of brisk walking and criss-crossing all over Odessa I finally spotted it out of the corner of my eye. Take the steps or a taxi to the harbor - it will save you the headache.

I saw some videos in youtube from an american guy who visited Odessa in February.You see in this videos all the common patterns of a great portion of ukrainian girls.

Nikolaev is certainly risky because if you aren't lucky on a Friday or Saturday night and don't generate any (decent) leads you are pretty much stuck for the rest of the week. The larger cities at least have stuff going on midweek so you won't get bored.
