Great report about reality! I have been there myself many times, but I seem to learn slowly over the years how to behave in EE. If I only had the skill I have today in 2003 when my EE huting begun! But for sure its not all gold as some reports might give the impression of. Far from it! The new commer can never have the success of a seasoned veteran! Im a normal income guy and we can never compare to the rich hunters with their atributes. Ofcourse personality matters as well, along with a number of other factors. You just got to find the thing that works for you!

Maybe this report should strictly be in the Kiev section (as I'm about to praise RP), but I really wonder why so many of us spend the time, money and sweat looking for girls in a snooty dump like Odessa. The girls seemed to vary from girl next door cute to gorgeous - I can't think of a reason to go anywhere else. You covered just about everything, but just a couple of personal comments on this topic from my side:

Ibiza:
In my experience, Ibiza is the high-roller disco and the worst place to look for regular/freebies. Most girls are there to show off and have drinks etc. bought for them. Chances of scoring low, unless you actually bring your own date... which most local guys do. Foreigners hoping to score the local eye candy there are usually destined for disappointment. I have however met several good-looking pros there offering their services for $100-150/3 hours. They do exist. I wouldnt say they are top drawer looks-wise, but quite ok. I didnt find them by looking for them directly, more by chance. I just approached some girls standing or sitting alone hoping to get to know them and eventually get in their pants, and they turned out to be pros. I didnt actually use any of their services, but did get prices and maintain sms contact for some time with them.

Dress code:
Its a beach resort town, so overdressing is just as much of a "crime" as underdressing... Odessa is more "anything goes" than other EE locales IMHO.

Russians vs. Foreigners:
I never noticed pros preferring Russians to foreigners. I always thought they'd fuck everything and everyone as long as money was involved. Never personally had problems in this respect in terms of working girls rejecting me, but do speak enough Russian to get by quite well. Where you will definitely can have problems with rejection is when calling girls (usually pro internet contacts) on the phone. If she only speaks Russian and you don't speak it well, its quite customary for them to simply hang up on you. Happened to me more than once, and I speak decent Russian. As soon as I asked her a question though or asked her to repeat something, she ended the call abruptly.

Scoring ratios among foreigners:
In my trips to Odessa it did seem that most foreign guys I noticed did go home alone, even if they seemed to be doing well early in the night dancing and drinking with girls. Have seen plenty of dejected Americans, Italians, Germans or English making the "the long stroll of sadness" home alone. Most of these guys, I assume, were there to try to score some free pussy. I myself have also gone home often enough alone. That said, it is possible to score freebies/regulars at Arkadia or anywhere in Odessa... but despite the hype that Odessa has received at times, it certainly isnt easier than other places. Somehow it does seem that the town promises more than it delivers...

Turkish disco:
I've never been treated so rudely by girls anywhere as I was there. Went there once, was unceremoniously given the brush off by every girl there, scowled at by the bar staff and never went back. Maybe it is some sort of insider place for sailors or something? Anyway, it is way off my to do list and sunk somewhere in the Black Sea.

Overall P4P quality:
Overall average at best, although I still rave about Ella's service, she was great in terms of performance... assuming we are all talking about the same Ella of course. As for Russian P4P vs. Ukrainian P4P, I felt level of service was similar, but obviously the variety of choice and relative beauty of the girls was higher in Russia. Odessa is fairly cheap though, I will give it that. I also can't claim to be an Odessan P4P expert, my experience is fairly limited with Odessan pros. I suspect there is more out there than I have been exposed to. As for "everything goes" in Russia, that is a YMMV situation as well. Plenty of "don't do this" and "don't do that" in Russia as well.

The frustration factor:
Invariably in Odessa, you will see girls walking around that are a lot hotter than those you will actually be able to fuck. Plenty of 9+s in ODS, but virtually all of it out of reach for anything but the best players or those willing to blow serious cash on shopping trips/sponsorship etc. I think time is needed as well, on a short trip you'll likely do more chasing/spending than catching/fucking when it comes to the top drawer broads. For pure eye candy, Odessa is world class, especially in August when the rich Russians and Ukrainians bring in their girlfriends. Most of these girls are off limits, at least in my experience.

Girls in the 6-8 category are more numerous and more available, and both myself and several other members seemed to do well here in terms of freebie scoring... but it can take a combination of luck, nerves, skill and some more luck.

Taxis:
Generally anybody will take you to Arkadia for 15-20 Grv max. Coming back from Ibiza expect to pay 20-40 Grv, depending on how far you walk away from the entrance and how resilient you are at bargaining. I generally pay 15 to get there and 20 to get back, but have paid 25 or 30 often enough as well. I quickly get bored with haggling over 5 grv.

Language:
Speakiing Russian isnt an absolute must, but speaking intermediate or even advanced beginner Russian will certainly increase your odds of scoring regulars/freebies and communicating effectively with pros. Most pros I met (although it wasnt many) spoke only Russian. Ella was a rare exception. Many of the local "freebie" type girls also speak only very limited or no English.

Your final words:
You are right on the money from a monger standpoint. Odessa is a fun beach holiday location for those looking to chase freebies. Your success there finding girls to fuck for "free" is a classic YMMV situation, but it certainly isnt always going to be easy. This seems to get worse with every passing year. I used to think it was because of increasing foreign competition, but is probably actually a combination of more foreign competition and the fact that the locals have upped their game (and back accounts) considerably as well. I still recommend those interested in chasing freebies to give it a shot though, I always had fun in Odessa... despite occassional frustrations. The eye candy on a good night at Itaka is breathtaking, especially if you like barely clothed teens writhing in erotic poses under a moonlit sky... maybe its just me, but I like that a lot...

As for p4p, I have yet to personally really see how Odessa can be considered a great p4p destination... the scene is still underdeveloped and for the non-local monger, largely inaccessible. I wouldnt go there just for p4p, there are better places IMHO. Maybe Odessa will improve with time or I am just missing something (like inside info), or maybe it really is better in the offseason...

The First Night

Anton (from OES) picked me up at the airport and showed me my apartment. He suggested I visit Zara Pizzara and the adjacent 99 Sportsman Bar later in the afternoon. Since the weather was nice, there were bound to be plenty of available girls.

And since it was a Saturday night, Anton recommended I visit Arkadia after 11PM. In the discos, it would be easy to find a girl to keep me company for the night.

Pick up a ST on a terrace and a LT in a disco. Sounded great!

After unpacking, getting some money from a Bankomat (ATM) and buying a local SIM card and some groceries, I was ready to go out and get my first taste of Odessa pussy.

I sat down at Zara Pizzara and ordered a meal. As I was eating, I got a call from GoofyMan (from WSA). After finishing my dinner, I joined him at his table. GoofyMan had been in town for three days, had been to Arkadia every night and...hadn’t gotten laid even once. That didn’t sound so good!

GoofyMan retired to his room, called one of the numbers Anton had provided him with and finally got laid. I paid my bill, walked over to the 99 Sportsman Bar, found a table next to some hot girls and ordered a beer. But when they played a slow song for couples to dance, their boyfriends got off their lazy ass and it became clear that 90% of the girls were unavailable.

Observations

While most girls who had boyfriends would totally ignore me, some were giving me the sweetest of smiles. But when I tried to approach them, they didn’t wanna know. The girls who ignored me had boyfriends their age. The ones who smiled at me were with Russians at least twice their age. Trophy wife or P4P?

Every time I visited the Arkadia discos, I bought a kebab on my way out and sat down on a bench, watching the parade of people walking past. Of course, I was looking out for young girls accompanied by foreigners twice their age. I never saw any. In most cases, the couples belonged to the same age group. When the guy was much older than the girl, he was invariably Russian.

Other Foreigners

My first night in Arkadia, I met up with a group of 5 young German guys. They all struck out at Ibiza.

On my second night, I shared a taxi with 2 Italians, who’d been in town for a number of days already. They found it impossible to get laid in Odessa.

That same night, I met a group of young Dutch guys. They were hitting on every girl they saw, but failed to get laid.

I talked to a number of other foreigners in Arkadia. When I asked them if they’d managed to fuck any of the girls they met in the disco, the answer was invariably: “No”.

Conclusions

Odessa and its Arkadia discos are the Ibiza of the FSU, where affluent Russians come to party over the summer months.

Most of the stunners come with their boyfriend, even though the guy may not always be around. Obviously, these girls are off-limits.

The tourist girls who are looking for company want Russian guys their age, not foreigners twice their age.

From the comments I’ve read on other sites, local Odessa girls are notorious cockteasers. These freeloaders string guys along, but will never put out. I spotted a couple of these “Don’t you wanna buy me a drink, honey” girls in Itaka. I avoided them.

Dancing ‘till dawn in an open-air disco can be fun. But it should be followed by a romp in the hay. It never was.

Taxis

The taxis in the tourist area will not go to Arkadia for less than 40 UAH. But it’s generally pretty easy to find other foreigners you can share a taxi with.

BTW, the locals always call a taxi. From the centre to Arkadia, the fare is only 20 UAH. But of course, you need to speak Russian to be able to call a taxi.

Leaving Arkadia after a horrible first night, I needed to walk off my anger. I ignored all the taxis and walked all the way to the war statue. On the corner, I saw a guy standing outside a Lada. He didn’t speak a word of English, but seemed to understand where I was going and readily accepted my first offer of 30 UAH.

Since I was never able to meet a girl, I walked to the statue or further every time I visited Arkadia. And, from the 2nd time, I never paid more than 20 UAH to get home.

Pick-up Spots

Terraces

There are a number of places in town that are reputed to be pick-up spots where the pros hang out:

- Zara Pizzara
- 99 Sportsman Bar
- Irish Pub
- Turkish restaurant across the street from the Irish Pub.

I walked past these places many times a day, looking for that elusive pro. I never found one.

In the Irish Pub, I never spotted any attractive unaccompanied girls. In Zara Pizzara & the adjacent Sportsman Bar, there was often plenty of eye candy. Most of them ignored me. I did get to talk to a few girls, but never got any further than that.

Turkish Disco

The Turkish disco (next to the Turkish restaurant) has quite a few working girls. One night, I spotted a real beauty in there, but she wouldn’t talk to me. Promenade

The Promenade, which is lined with benches and leads to the steps down to the harbor area, is also a pick-up spot. I got quite a few smiles from the girls sitting on the benches as I was walking past...but they lost interest as soon as they found out I couldn’t speak any Russian.

Dress Sharp?

One day, when all my jeans were dirty, I was wearing black pants and a bright red shirt. I noticed I attracted a lot more attention from the girls. Could it be the sharp-dressed man routine?

- The apartment provided by OES was great. But the main reason I was staying at OES was that I realized I would need some help to get laid in Odessa:
* On the one hand, I’m grateful for the phone numbers provided by Anton. This trip wasn’t exactly a success; without Anton’s phone numbers, it would have been a total disaster.
* On the other hand, I expected more. Four phone numbers isn’t exactly a lot. And when I requested some more numbers, Anton didn’t come up with the goodies.

I found Mamasan Dina’s number on ISG. When I called her, she brought me Albina (Alya), who was a real beauty who provided lousy service. When I called her back to complain about the service, she brought me a girl who would provide good service – a FWC I wasn’t interested in.

After our first meeting, Dina knew that:
- I only wanted beautiful young girls and would turn down any girl that wasn’t up to scratch.
- I wanted girls that provided decent service and would complain if the service was below par.
- Having said that, my standards, both in terms of looks and service, weren’t all that high – I simply couldn’t afford to be too picky.

The girls whose phone number was provided by Anton (and their friends) and the girls brought to me by Mamasan Dina (and their friends) accounted for almost all the girls I fucked in Odessa. The only exception was a girl I met through a phone number provided by GoofyMan.

In 9 days in Odessa, I was unable to meet a single attractive working girl by myself. Amazing statistic!

The problem in Odessa is that:
- There are few working girls.
* There are even fewer working girls that speak English and are willing to service foreigners.
- Even the places where the pros are supposed to hang out (Arkadia, terraces), are full of tourists and regular girls.
* If only one girl out of 100 is P4P, how the hell are you supposed to find her? I found it impossible.
* BeachFrance (from WSA) commented that you’re probably better off visiting Odessa during the low season. With fewer tourists around, you may indeed have a better chance of finding the pros.

In a place where mongers find it very difficult to meet pros, you would think that the P4P girls are fully booked all the time. Wrong! It’s just as difficult for them to meet customers as it is for mongers to find girls.
- Russian girls will rarely approach a guy – you have to make the 1st move.
- Very few of the tourists in Odessa are foreign mongers. Most are Russian with a dash of foreigners, most of which are looking to score freebies with regular girls. Few guys are willing to pay for sex.
- Suzi, a beautiful girl who provides great service, actually asked me to put her phone number on the Internet, so she could meet more customers. Unbelievable, but true.

Socials

There was a social in Odessa while I was in town. Alona was one of the girls in attendance. This is what she had to say about them:

- The tour consists of 3 socials, in Odessa, Nikolaev and Mariupol.
- There were about 200 girls at the Odessa social, and about 65 guys.
- Some of the girls at the socials don’t speak English at all. Many of them have a limited command of the language. Alona was really popular because she speaks good English.
- Hardly any of the girls at the socials are P4P girls. Alona only recognized one other working girl.

Many guys come to Odessa to meet girls they’ve met on dating/marriage sites. That’s also the approach Anton recommends for visitors to Odessa. For him, “Regular girls are just another form of P4P”.

As most mongers will agree, they’re an expensive form of P4P! It can be worth it in the long run, but if you only wanna fuck a girl once, then move on to the next one, regular girls are a waste of time and money.

Final Words

If you wanna gaze at the eye candy, then have a wank fantasizing about them, go to Odessa.

If you wanna try your luck with the girls from the dating/marriage agencies, go to Odessa.

If you wanna get laid, go somewhere that actually has a P4P scene.

The little time I spent with some of the girls I met, I was happy. The rest of the time, I was bored. But most of all, I was frustrated at being unable to find any pussy.
