Have to disagree with William.

I spoke with a few other Americans in Odessa when I was there in September, they couldn't speak any Russian at all, and they didn't seem to have too much trouble picking up regular girls in the bars/clubs/discos. Maybe they were bragging/lying about their success rate, I never checked. They just hit the spots around the main street, Deribovskaya, at the center. One guy said he got lucky every night, others not so successful.

I was way too lazy and also a little ill to go out chasing, preferring to order in room service and pursue their girlfriends. This method is hit and miss, and gets very frustrating, but it can also produce great results with a little luck.

You will have a rather difficult time in Odessa. Nobody speaks any of the western languages and, more important, you can not read where you are because the Russian language, that is the language they speak in Odessa, has the cyrilic signs.

The best you can do is find a cabdrives who speaks english.

I can help myself quite well because I speak and can read this language.

In the winter you can find girls at the "Odessa Port". At this pick place you can find tenth of (not very well looking) girls. There are near this some "Odessa Port" some small beerhouses where the girls stay when it is cold.

But again: very complicated if you do not understand the Russian language.

Now that I read Eros 9/20 report, I do remember a local guy I was talking to, who told me there is a place, by the docks or the port or something like that. Its where visiting ships work crews arrive, there are bars around there also. The place has a definite name also, but I forgot it, but its the kind of word that would get you instant recognition from your taxi driver if you said "take me to #@*!" The story I was told is that they are lined up outside, so you can go with your taxi, and have the taxi wait while you go pick one to take home.

As a normal local guy, in other words poor, he said that sometimes for a laugh he will go there and walk up to a ***** and ask to squeeze their tits and ass, or as he would say, you ask them if you can check to see if they are good quality, like a piece of fruit or meat at the market. Speaking russian gets him this cheap thrill, since he can't afford to fuck them, but they do let him have a squeeze! He said he also asks them if they have the small pussy, and uses the hand signal for this, which is the first finger pressed against the thumb.

He told me most of the *****s that you will find there have have a lot of mileage, or you could call them seasoned pros, but maybe sometimes a new one will show up that's nicer. I asked an escort about the girls there, and she was quick to say that the seaport *****s will give you a disease with your service, no extra charge.

Anyway, I forgot about it because I only heard about it, I didn't actually go check it myself. I just ran out of time before I got the chance to go and see. I used my time going after my own preference of amateur college types, or 'friends of a friend' type contacts. But please report if you go!

I stayed in a nice flat close to the center, but I sure didn't see any "take out" corners. There was another American guy who had been there for a week, he told me the only sure thing he had found was the big hotel by the seaport. He went up to the top floor where the bar was, and said there were about 8 girls. All pros, 5's and 6's, and expensive. I think since he was American the girl took him for $200 for the night. He said she was about 25, very mechanical. That's more than Kiev! Ridiculous!
I'll be back there in the spring.

I think if you just get in a taxi, the driver would know where your take out spot has moved to, or he could call a service. Just don't budge over $35, which is the normal local price, plus you could give the taxi guy some hrivna for making the calls. Maybe give him 30 or 40 hr.

Was in Odessa for a few days this week.

No street action to speak of. One or two girls walknig around the centre for a long time, but when I approached them and asked if they spoke English, they replied "Yes, we do" ... and walked quickly off!!

On steps down to port, as previously reported, also found no action.

Ask taxi drivers hanging around the centre (by McDonald's) for a girl. They will make a telephone call, and in five minutes a car arrives with two or three girls to choose from. Aged around 22-28, 5-7. Asked for US$60 for two hours .. will settle for $50.

Nothing special, bad attitude, all smoke cigarettes, too much make-up.

Better, to visit the discos (in Summer go to "Arcadia", the strip of beach about 8Kms from the centre, Hrv15 by taxi), where there are a lot of open-air discos, with some nice girls in them.

Or, during the daytime, just smile and start talking to some of the girls walknig around the center .... you'll eventually be lucky, and it will not cost you anything apart from maybe a few drinks and a pizza!

reporting from odessa, but with much to tell about other cities, such as kharkov, donetsk, and mariupol. i hope it's okay, but i'll keep it all here under the odessa forum area...

first, i've had a great time... maybe even the best of my life. but second, without some russian language you will never see what i've seen. period, over and out. there is no organization for foreigners like you will find in moscow, and what little you will find in the hotels is over priced and worthless. in kharkov, i spent the first night in a hotel before i could find a flat. they sent 4 girls to my room and only one was even close to a 7 or 8. they said she was 150, and i thought grivna. they acted surprised and said, "dollars of course!" i laughed them out of my room. the next morning the bell man was not real happy with me, but i told him my opinion of his game and he slunk off.

then i found a great flat, $40 a night in the very center. just walking the streets, in three days, i scored more girls than could fill night flight in moscow. it was so easy i was blown away. i just smiled and said hello to two model types pushing a baby carriage.. god's honest truth.. and they joined me that night for a few drinks and a threesome. longest legs i've seen in a long time, too.

so many girls coming to attend university, and all of them needing money. the beauty is off the richter scale. just be careful, because there are so many young girls you might make a mistake and pick one ****, and of course you wouldn't want to do that. i would stay away from the cheaper bars and nightclubs because they are filled with girls from 12 years old and up, getting smashed on cheap beer.

there are no services worth calling unless you want to pay premium, and in that case moscow is better. but if you can speak russian at least conversational, and you are willing to buy a girl a drink and be polite, the sky is the limit.

i found two girls i liked, treated them good to a meal and some drinks, and recruited them to help me find other pleasures. they took to it like a game, and we had a lot of fun.

they took me to an "elite" strip club - 10$ door charge, where we entered and found ourselves to be the only guests. the room was pretty small, only 12 chairs to sit in and the pole in the center of the room. we spent 3 hours watching 5 girls dance, lap dance, and talk with us for the $10 entry fee. the girls are not allowed to go home with customers, but i slipped my phone number in the panties of an 18 year old and she called the next morning.

she was a 9.7 and i never give any girl a perfect 10. this girl had a body, and if evolution is true she descended from rabbits. she wore me out and then some, bare back, cim, anal, and even drank some [CodeWord103] which really blew my mind. all in all, most of the girls live with a slave mentality. they live to please.

mariupol was more of the same with even less organization. just walking the streets, visiting the few clubs is all it takes. speak english out loud, spend a little money, and you will make eye contact and go after it.

odessa, a beautiful city, is filled with beauty -- perhaps more beautiful girls here than kharkov, but more money floating around too. i'm worn out, but so glad i learned russian....

As no-one else has written anything - I'll give some info albeit dated.

I went to Odessa about 5 years ago. There was a wonderful outdoor disco in the Summer you can't miss it, it's on the seafront. A place for scoring chicks.

In the hotels there were always hookers floating around. Some were surprising expensive ($100 a night) for this economic backwater.

Anyway, you are better off going down near the port. I can't remember the directions. But near the port there was a little street which was quite steep. There were a number of night clubs and bars on this street. In one place I remember there were about 15 girls dancing on the dance floor and hardly any guys. To cut to chase I went back to one of the hookers houses - I paid $20 or $30 and stayed the night!

I just remember her toilet was in the same room as her kitchen. Yuk!
