Check the hotel just 100m right of the corner of the beginning of Deribasovskaya (to the right, when looking down Deribesovskaya at the beginning), I think, its name is "Arcade". It is old, but there you can get different type of rooms. Last time, just for some hours of sleep after a long night in Arcadia, it was 18$, but with shared bathroom/toilette. In that hotel you also can get better rooms for higher prices, of course.

And just 100m besides the hotel, cheap self-service restaurant. Just at the next corner. Complete meal 5$. "But most people will not eat": No wonder, that the prices in Odessa explode, when many foreigners are so spoiled like you.

Last time I used a 2-room appartment in the centre, 50$.

Best is, just to go to this cheap hotel, and then check for an appartment yourself. Unless you are there in July/Agust, no problem. No need to book in advance on the internet then.

This is a bit exaggregated. Besides high season (July/August) you can also find a hotel room starting at 30$. And you still have some powder left to take a good one in case you have a "hit" ...

In case, you do not need to eat in "Steak House" every day, simple meals you can get for 5$. These cheap places are also good for pickup, because students eat there, too.

Entrance to the good clubs in Arcadia were 16$ last year.

Prices in high season are higher, but then you better go to Crimea.

Of course its high and you can eat for $2 even but for short term first time traveler why not do it up and stay in a nice new (or new feeling) apartment behind mc donalds? I always like to plan to spend more then I do.

Let me breathe some life into this thread which appears as dead as Deribasovskaya at minus 10 degrees right now. A novice to this board I have travelled the motherland since the turn of the millennium and would have many tales to tell, if I dug deep in my memory.
