I was there for the opening of 2009 also. I will never forget Paul Van Dyke on the stage and the fireworks exploding seemingly inches from my head. I suppose all the party sweets added to the ambience.

There were not alot of "foreigners" there. As Reiner mentioned it's not an easy place to get to. It requires alot of determination and commitment, so I am sure that detters alot of people. However let me tell you, it's well worth the trip. Most of the Westerners I met were from France and Germany.

So, as written before, I arrived in Donetsk this Saturday. It is not so easy to get there, thats the main reason, I guess.

Evpatoria is about 30km from Popovka, where kazantip is located. Not bad, either.

I only had about 24 hours notice that I would be going to Lvov, so I did not really have time to set up anything there. By happenstance I had one internet friend, but that was pretty platonic so I was not heart-broken when her schedule and mine just did not align. Other girls on Mamba did not respond in a timely fashion, so I was pretty much reduced to street hunting. Well, actually strip-club hunting. One night I headed to Split, a downtown complex of a variety of bars and restaurants. And the only lonely Ukrainian at the bar was Vladimir, a businessman from Kyiv, whose inability to communicate in English in no way inhibited his wish to do so.

Eventually I gave up on the bar and wandered into the strip club, with Vladimir in close pursuit. I guess he was a regular, because he got a nice table and invited me to join him. An extravagantly endowed blonde rushed over to embrace him and sit on his lap and spent the next hour apparently trying to suck his brains out of his ears. We will call her Big Breasted Blonde #3. Vladimir got her to invite a friend over for me, who with very little introduction sat on my lap and proceeded to rub herself against me in all kinds of interesting places. I did check out the disco or jazz club (can’t remember which) but it did not have the favourable female:male ratio that signals a happy hunting ground. I think it was really just local boys and girls out for a good time, which is a depressing state of affairs for a middle-aged foreigner. The strip club is okay, with a constant parade of girls, but none really caught my eye and I never did find out what the deal was for private dances. Again, sex on the premises did not seem to be an option (I asked several girls) and there were no hookers hanging around. Stupidly I did not ask about an after-hours rendezvous, given that my hotel was across the street, but I was not looking for 3 AM sex. Also communications was a challenge, not just here but in Lvov overall. Yes you could get the necessities of life without speaking Russian or Ukrainian, but most girls had minimal English, so it was difficult to engage in conversation as a prelude to negotiation.

My hotel was so pathetic that it did not even have lobby girls, although I had seen some sluttily-dressed girls in the bar earlier. However I was not able to approach them at the time, being with a female colleague, and I was not sure if they were pros – they were not looking around or making eye contact. One night I asked the hotel security guy about ordering in, which was certainly possible, but they only had one girl available and it would take about 20 minutes for her to arrive. I think the price was 90 Euros. But it was getting late and I did not like the odds of that one girl being worth waiting for, so I gave it a miss and went to bed loveless in Lvov.

So I never really found the right hunting ground in Lvov, and it would be difficult to pick girls up without Russian or Ukrainian language skills (this is the first place I have been to in Ukraine where Russian is not the dominant language). Not a good place for amateur mongers like me. At least not without a lot more time to discover the right venues or work Mamba better.

wanted to wish you a good trip to donetsk. i was there back in december and traveled there from kiev as well by train. it does take 12 hours.

first there are two levels of trains, one is much better than the other though a little more expensive. i took the better train and the ukrainians on the train with me confirmed that it was much better than the other, older train option. i usually fly but the train was going to get me there faster than waiting for a flight and i was happily surprised. the train has sleeper cars with 4 to a room, the cheaper train just has seats (from what i was told) and it is hard to catch some sleep on if you are traveling overnight like i was. i traveled with my girlfriend who speaks russian and english so it was a bit easier for me. ukrainians for the most part only are going to speak russian and their comprehension for even the most basic words of any other languages is going to be very limited. everyone here says it and it is very true. i speak spanish amongst other languages (though no russian) and the only time i had a chance to speak with a non english speaker besides basic greetings like hello, thank you, etc was to a portuguese taxi driver of all things.

donetsk in general has a quiet town/ industrial town feel to it. there are some bars and discos but when i went out there didn't seem to be alot of people in the clubs (bit it was during the week). i would make sure you have some good contacts (back ups to your primary) as if you are there by yourself it is likely going to be boring and frustrating. there is a nice 5 star hotel in town called the victoria that has a disco in it that is suppose to the best in town (probably could find some semi pros there) but i think it is only open on the weekends. the rooms ran something like 200 usd a night if i remember correctly. it is on the outskirts of town by their sports stadium that has events from time to time. so if you are spending three weeks there you might be able to catch a concert, sporting event though probably more local fare. the staff speaks english at the hotel though so if all falls through or you don't like your apartment you have a place that you can go to and enjoy yourself a bit. they have bowling downstairs, sushi and all the other things that the guys say the ukrainian girls seem to like. as well as the disco. there is a nice little shopping mall in town if you want to do a little shopping with you friend and some decent restaurants in town as well. the mall is nice to check out some of the local eye candy in the area as well. i went to a british pub that they have there in donetsk (can't remember the name), pretty cool underground pub and they had some live music and a really hot dj chick spinning some tunes later on. it was a week day so there weren't that many people around but i could see it getting fun on the weekend.

if your girl is from outside of donetsk in one of the "smaller" surrounding cities. they all feel small but are usually pretty large in reality. i am sure that she will have a good time. donetsk has some stuff to see but once you move outside of donetsk the quality of housing, nightlife, etc really drops off to nothing. like no hot water in most of the apartments, one little bar in town, rather bleak and depressing russian style apartment housing. so, if she is from a village it is going to be like taking her to paris. especially if you take her to kiev later. though some of the girls feel a little overwhelmed in the bigger city as many live rather basic lives with their family. there are some girls out there that have spent some time working in dubai rep001tered around the area as well. so there are some options but they are going to be hard to find. the women are beautiful, not as many options as kiev of course. and they (most) all speak russian. the russian thing is sort of hard to get away from as it is everywhere and there are fewer foreign language speakers than anywhere i have visited in the world and i have been to around 50 countries.

anyway, have a great trip. there will be some challenges but don't let all the negative guys here get you down. the ukraine girls are very sweet and kind from the ones that i have spent time with. they can be a little stand offish with "outsiders" but if you use a little charm and humor it is easy to break down the barriers. the girls outside of the big cities are a little naive about the world as their lives are pretty basic. so you take them out to a nice restaurant, maybe drop them off at a spa or something nice and they are going to remember you forever. i hope that it all works out with your girl that you are talking to and that you trip turns out as you want. she is probably as apprehensive about you as you are about her.

nice thing about ukraine is that if things don't work out in the donetsk, you can always pack your bags and take a bus, train or flight out of donetsk and be back in kiev the next day. and there are of course hundreds of pages on the things to do there.

The battle against TIME, for every girl, one chunk or maybe the whole of the afternoon/evening, is a problem.

I tried some pre-screening, but there's no perfect plan for us shorties.

Try picking up girls you would just not ever really try with at home. If they say no, so what. Just being there presents you with opportunities you would have never had, if you hadn't gone to all the trouble to go all that way in the first place.

Three weeks is sure better than two. Us shorties will always have the odds against us. Perfect plans are boring. The plan that is no plan at all IS the perfect plan, when its least expected and an angel falls into your lap.

Now for the real lesson.

It is REALLY easy to fuck plain dumpy broads. It takes only the most minimum effort, and an almost complete lack of any talent, imagination, or creativity.

Anyone here can brag saying how hot some girl looked, or how she was so great in bed all night and day. It requires NOTHING to change the description of a plain jane dumpy broad to a hottie, or a cold fish into some horny sex bomb. Just a laptop and a wi-fi, that's all anyone here needs to puff up their chest. Then the other chest puffers will join in, to high-five him that he's a real monger, knowing full well that's its BS, but they want to keep propping up the fiction, so the next time they have to puff their own chest with the same fictions, other puffers will buy into it.

At some point, after you've read enough, you'll GET IT, that its the ones who write in that style and consistently do not post fotos of those girls they write bragging stories about, that are actually only able to fuck the dumpy plain janes. They have no standards. Its so much easier to be lazy and settle for something that's not special. You can tell, after a while. It gets obvious, too.

Expose them for what they are, and they will ALWAYS attack you. They just can't take it. Who can blame them, they have no leg to stand on, so insulting you is the only thing they can come back with.

Good point Bez, I think that is a better idea. The part I find tough is the constant battle against TIME, I. E. For every girl that isn't open to whatever it is, short-term sponsorship for example, there goes one chunk or maybe the whole of the afternoon/evening, etc. You've talked about the time problem also. That's why I was trying to do some pre-screening, but I guess there's probably no perfect method as a short-term visitor.
