There are a few good saunas that operate in Edinburgh; among them are Blair Street Sauna, Newtown Sauna and London Street Sauna. I most recently visited Newtown Sauna which is near London Street Sauna and further from the tourist walking tours, etc. It's simple. You go to the door, pay for 30, 45, 60 min admission and then are provided with a locker key and towel. The maid will show you around and then you take a shower and proceed into the "lounge" which consists of nothing more than a few couches and a small TV that is usually muted for sound.
