What are we talking about here, everyday girls walking around on the street or hoes?

London is one of the busiest and most cosmopolitan cities in the world and logically a tiny percentage of the women you see walking around everyday must be working in the industry. This makes the mongering choice in London potentially the most richest and diverse.

But that is the theory. In practice, as people like PayForIt have been banging on about for months, the scene has been driven underground as a result of antiquated Victorian laws which haven't changed as London has progressed. With the exception of cards in telephone boxes (an anomaly which the police have been trying to eradicate for decades without success) and discreet signs in Soho doorways saying 'models'you could walk every inch of London's streets and never know that prostitution existed.

The advent of the internet and proliferation of CCTV cameras has given the authorities all the excuses they need to drive the scene underground. Now that they have got it there they are not going to let the rabbit out of the box going forward no matter how more liberal our societies become.

If you have patience, persistence and plenty of time on your hands to do lots of research as well as painful trial-and-error then yes you will find things that are not well known to the general mongering public. However I don't have the time to keep on researching and digging. Nor do I have the money to make lots of expensive mistakes..

We need to compare London with similar places in the West, and, yes, It is not Germany, or even Amsterdam. Although I personally don't like at all the service offered in the Amsterdam windows. Even Mumbai, where I go often, is not a place I would monger, unless you want to splash 50.000 Rs for a socalled Bollywood escort, and still no guarantee.

So that leavse me with Japan, Macau, Thailand and the FKKS as my favorite places beyong London.

Unfortunately, I have had more success openly finding prostitution in unlikely places as far afield as Tel Aviv and Mumbai than in London. The truth remains that London is the only city that I know of where prostitution is not openly available in one form or another like girls-in-windows, streetwalkers or brothels openly advertising as what they are. A couple of Google clicks and it reveals, the (M 45) Motorway and not "the parish maiden" which makes Coventry quicker to get from to any other part of the UK.
