Posts: 174In town for two nights
I arrive as the african sports games 2007 on.
Our hotel lost our reservation, so we tried to find a replacement. The Mercure was full.
Ended up at the Hilton.
I was hoping to find a sub 100$ all nighter, but it was now 3am, tuesday.
Tonight will try the Hilton Disco. Any input in the short time frame would be appreciated.

In the past, there were lots of cabarets with sometimes really nice WG's.
But i'm not sure, if there's still some action to be found due to the fact of several razzias by police against prostitution.
Just ask a cab driver at the hotel - they're all very friendly and helpful!
Have fun and keep us informed about the scene - Cheers

I just saw now I needed visa, I don't have embassy in my country from Algeria so I need few days to send and get passport back.
Is there no way to get visa when you arrive at the airport.
Could it be better to go to Tunis or Maroco and get there visa, could I get there visa at the border or within the same day to Algeria?
Thanks.

I'm back in Algiers for the next month or so. I'm staying at the Sheraton this time. I've seen a few working girls in the lobby piano bar.
Interestingly, I've seen a sign on the hotel grounds for a disco but I haven't seen the disco. The storm last night discouraged me from looking around.
I'll keep everyone posted on my luck.

Hi there,
if you are going to Algiers and don't speak french, the forget about mongering.
And also forget about taking another hotel than one of the "internationals" such like Mercure, Sofitel, Hilton or Sheraton.
Bad luck for you, that the Ibis is not yet finished.
My reccomandation would be the Mercure hotel.
See also www.accorhotels.com or even better www.hrs.com
Do you speak arab? Only with english you might be lost to find a lady.
Other recommandation: read this thread and you'll find lots of helpful information.
Have fun and keep us informed about your trip!
Cheers

i don't think that the 10's cause eye cancer. but the fact that there is a market for them (otherwise they would not be there) together with the ridiculous prices 1 shot ~ 1 month average algerian salary clearly indicate the problems in this country. so i understand quite well the attitude of your collegues - no reason to waste time or money on hunting in algeria. and i admire your energy. you certainly help keeping the business going.
i have been in "la perouse" once, but did not find it worthwhile returning.
i live in algiers permanently, and have a long list of telephone numbers. but as you have noticed, the girls change their numbers frequently. so i am not sure that all of them shall answer. only a few ones are my type. i shall gladly give you the numbers to the others, some of which may be your type. or i can easily get some 5 - 7 on your scale 1 to 10.

sorry, i was interrupted.
to back to "la perouse", which is on the opposite site of the alger corniche to where the city center is. for your orientation: ain taya ist the village/suburb to be found.
the cabarets are some kind of mixture between karaoke, disco, brothel and so on.
the music is so loud, that you can hardly speek to your neighbour at the table.
the girls are a wide variety from.10 to max. 7-8 (on the scale from 1-10). the.10 explains, that there are some very rough, fat and ugly ones, dressed in too slim sexy? clothes. i hope, that viewing those ugly sluts doesn't cause eye-cancer:.).
on the otehr side, there were about 3-4 pretty good looking more or less young ladies, very good dancers by the way, which i would have taken without hesitation.
my problem was that i always was surrounden by two collegues, which seem not to be very interested in our hobby and so it was impossible to start even conversation with the ladies.
also i had a problem to reach miss h or miss h2. at this my very best regards to mickey rooney and maxmara, but i can't post yet any report, due to the fact that no one of the misses h did answer the phone when it would have been possible to meet.
next time, i'll try it again.
so guys, as a result: alger is certainly still not a mongering destination, but it can be found some raw diamonds. we only have to find them!
have fun! cheersLast edited by Admin; 06-25-07 at 03:52.

Hi Mongers!
just back from Algiers and would like to give you an update:
Hotel Scene still valid, in Mercure and Sofitel always some WG, but not best quality and too pricey (min. 150 single shot is hell too much!)
Couldn't check the other hotels so far.
Then was again at "La Perouse" where are some very good fish restaurants and also some cabarets to be found.
In the cabarets are also some WG's to be found...
