The last Jammeh years. But the last couple of years the rip off got worse. In the good old day you found a quiet sister for 500. These days are over.
Go to Guinea Bissau. Much better there.
I still have a residence permit there until 2023. LOL.

I was Nov. / Dec. For a couple of weeks in Gambia and Senegal. The visa rules ve.
Changed for peoples from most countrys is now visa on arrivel. They just take fingerprint.
And eyscann. The airport is a construction site. The entry, receipt of the stamp is very quick, also.
If you leave the country The baggage is still X-rayed in front of the exit.
From November 1, a new law should come into force that prohibits smoking in restaurants or in front of them.
The first days in November no club / restaurants allowed the guest for smoking,10 days later we could smoke.
Nearly in every clu or bar.
The club operators also complain that many English tourists fail to arrive, whether it is due to the Thomas Cook bankruptcy or whatever I cannot answer.
Some girls get megalomania and charge prices of 3000 - 4000 Dalasi for LT, but I never paid more then.
1200 Dal. The girls at the strip are not really pretty, some pros or semi re always around Britannia and Time inn.
I forgot this places better is you go Sundays or afternoon / evening to poco loco or palma rima beach. For me the strip is.
Going down, Wow is closed.
The GTA only wants to see more tourists on the strip (you can see many older pensioner couples in the evening), after midnight the strip has died out.
The tourism police have to pay more attention to the fact that prostitutes cannot enter this part. The only positive thing is that the police regularly bring the bumsters away from the strip with jeeps.
The good times for us in Gambia are unfortunately over.
Gambia is changing but what ll be the result?

Hello all,
I'm looking at spending a month in Gambia next year. I generally prefer the West African thicker / bigger boobs and ass body type to East, and thought I'd try somewhere other than Ghana, which is becoming a bit pricy. However, my free month is May, which I've just discovered coincides with Ramadan. There doesn't seem to be much on the board about this topic. Does anyone have experience of Ramadan in Gambia? Does everything carry on as normal or are there restrictions in nightclubs (no music / alcohol), girls not wanting to put out, a generally dim view taken toward mongers?
In addition, as we're on the Muslim topic, approximately what proportion of the girls you find in Senegambia (if I go I'll be staying on the strip, probably either Easytime Lodge or Oasis apartments) have suffered FGM?
Many thanks for any info.

There are no package holiday hotels that are girl friendly. You'll pay more to bring a girl back to your hotel than you will be paying her for her services. That is perverse. Get yourself a private place through airbnb or similar or you could try Kasumai beach resort. They have a private lawn with a mini swimming pool facing the sea. It's about a 10 minute walk from the action. Last time I was there, there where loads of European women making out with Gambian loverboys which makes me suspect they are not too difficult concerning visitors. But check with the management in advance if they are going to charge you or not.
I recently read about a place called oasis apartment complex. They are right next to the football field about 300 meters from 'the strip'. They charge 20 euro / day if you take it for a month. That's not too bad from a tourist point of view considering the location and what you get.

So I have now booked my flights to Banjul and will be in The Gambia for 7 nights in mid-November.
I have found a couple of options, as follows:
* Sunu hotel (EX-SARGES hotel) - about €400 for 7 nights.
* Mansea Beach Hotel and Resort. About €430 for 7 nights.
I don't mind cheap and cheerful, but I do need A/C and WiFi! I want to stay where the action is and don't mind noise.
Do you guys have any experience of the above, or other recommendations?
Any experience with AirBnb?
Thanks in advance!

Posts: 1Spent few weeks in Gambia and first night one local rasta showed me a restaurant where you can drink, eat and smoke. That place also had small cottages for short stay. Can't remember the name of the place but it was quite close to Reo's toward the beach. But I think every local can guide you there or know similar places.

Hello,
There are many resorts, where you cannot take a girl inside. So my question is whether there are any short time rooms at the Senegambia Strip available. I do not mean normal (and therefore expensive) hotels. Thank you.
