There look to be some good holiday deals travelling from London Gatwick to Gambia, and I thought I might go for a week in March. I'm not a hardcore monger, but I do like the odd jiggy interlude when I am on vacation. I look to stay in decent standard hotels (looking at Kairaba).

If my hotel isn't GF, where do I do the dirty deed?

Atm's are many times out of order.

I'd the like to start exploring Gambia just after arrival, but for this I need local currency. What is the best place to change Euro to Dalasis after arrival? Should I do it at the airport, or are there are some money changer / banks open in the evening, around 7 – 8 pm?

This is a money changer at the airport but you'll get a slighty better rate if you get your taxi driver to stop somewhere on the way. There will but some open at 8pm.

Google: Princess Apartments; Summer Grove Villas.

Forget the web prices; stay one night in an average hotel.

And ask at the reception.
