If you are coming to Gambia and expecting it to be like Pattaya you are in for a very rude awaking. It is NOTHING like Thailand. You need to remember that Gambia is around 90% Muslim. Although, it is a place you can get your “chocolate fixation” satisfied.
Food – One place I forgot, Rosie’s 777. It is off the beaten path a ways behind the Coconut Residence but the food is great for the price. Rosie’s husband does a lot of the cooking. I believe he was a chef in Germany. During the week they have a couple of specials for 100D each and on Friday they have an all-you-can-eat-special for 150D. You can get your pork cravings satisfied at Rosie’s.

Posts: 101Welcome to the "Off-Season" Gambia
Hi Rooney,
I’ve been away from the forum for some time. I just saw the date of your post. I guess you are already here.
• No Russians here. The only Chinese you will see are gambling in the casinos late at night and they look a bit rough for me.
• You should be able to find several nice places for that amount of money. This is the off-season and all hotels are empty. I had a friend walk into one of the nicer hotels a while back and spoke to the manager. He negotiated a super cheap price for himself. Another friend just stayed at the Sea Breeze a few days back. I didn’t catch the price but he said the rooms were OK and reasonably priced. And, it should be GF.
• Food – Just was by Henry’s the other day and saw a sign, “Closed for the Season”. Too bad. This is where you will get your best Bang-for-the-Buck. Try Amsterdam Dolphin or Bini’s (Just outside Senegambia, across from the new Old School night club). Yasmina’s can be good for a quick lunch and a beer.
• Waaw or Totties is about your best place for hunting. I don’t go to these places too much anymore-I’m getting turned off by the hard core pros and the “Bumsters” wanting to be your friend which ultimately leads to them wanting you to buy them a drank. Also, don’t leave your hotel with any more money than you can afford to loose and keep your cell phone deep in your pocket. These places are full of pickpockets. BUT, sometime you do find a jewel or two.
• Currently, Bini’s is the classist restaurant/bar in the Gambia. I believe the management makes an effort to keep the skanks out until after 10 – 11 pm to give the European Expats a chance to dine in peace. Then I believe they are a bit selectable on the working girls they allow in after that. Several nights a week they have a band playing. The sax guy is the best in the Gambia.
I have to agree with Fourniceight that the Gambia is not really good for day time hunting. But, remember the Gambia is “Africa-for-the-Beginner”.
Keep in mind, this is the off season. Amsterdam is dead in the afternoon (except for a few of the Expat alcoholics). Relax-dead. I walk the beach a lot on the weekends. All the girls that I have been approached by to give me a massage were not quite up to my style (fat). I believe your best bet for day time action is to hit the clubs one night around 12 – 4 am, get your phone full of numbers and then call them for some afternoon action.
Fourniceight – How is Pattaya? I really miss the Bamboo Bunnies.

Posts: 13Daytime Fun Required - Any Advice
Hi Guys,
This is a great forum and hopefully you will be able to offer me some advice.
I am heading for The Gambia for a week or so in early September. Never been before and shall be staying with relatives in Fajara. Seems that they intend being very hospitible which is great but its going to severely cramp my style in the evenings and at weekends when they are not working. Have told them I am more than happy to amuse myself but they are being insistant. Just as well the daytimes during the week are mine!
Have been a frequent visitor to Pattaya, Thailand so I am not totally green but things do appear to operate very differently in The Gambia. Is there any equivalent to the Freelancer bars? If not can you recommend a decent parlour or other means / location where you can pick up girls during the day? Am not looking for a relationship so professionals or sideliners (who are in full time employment but are looking to supplement their income) are fine but they would have to be available during the daytime / early evening.
Am really hoping you can help otherwise I am going to be like a kid in a sweet shop with no money.

Posts: 489I can shave them; no problem.
You can´t compare Gambia with f.e. Kenya; the whole condition of the
country is very low; but i met wunderful people. And it was absolutely safe;
also in the dark roads.
Cheers; in december in Gambia

Posts: 13I'm going to Gambia for the first time shortly. This forum has been helpful and a lot of good information here. It's clear to me that finding company in Gambia isn't too hard task to do. I'm not a great fan of totally shaven, or even too much trimmed pussy. Does the majority of Gambian girls shave and is it hard to find an unshaven girl from there.
Thanks

Posts: 489I was one evening in Serekunda; no traffic lights; a dusty road; like a slum
area. The Greenline Motel; i looked into the entrance area; looked in a
average condition; more fore the locals; but not dirty; maybe for a beer.
It was early; round 8 pm; so i saw no customer in the bar area.
But try it; it was not unsafe.
Normaly i stay in Kololi or the Palma Rima Road near Atlantic Dolphins.
Cheers; in december in Gambia

I'm going to the Gambia in some weeks. Like to shag as many as possible girls. Heard about Greenline Motel near Lana-Bar in serrekunda. Some 15-20 *****s are on the premises, seem to live there, girls from 18yrs old. Rooms seem 300 dalasi with fan. In banjul ferry guesthouse (400D)with girls living and servicing in the hotel.
Wanne ask if anybody knows more places like these?
I like to go hunting together with a fellow-hunter?
