Business in Gambia is not the REAL reason that I go to Gambia. I go there for the same reason that you go there. It's just that the "business" gets me to Gambia and pays for the hotel and meals.
Never been much outside of Banjul. Don't know what a "village" would be like.
I'm heading back over in about 10 days and I should be there for some time, so if you are passing through give a PM and we will go on a "hunting" trip.

I'm sure there are lots of hotels where there is not a problem to bring a girl back to your room. I'll let others respond to that.
What worked good for me was to befriend the security guards. Each time that I walked by them I would stop for a few minutes and chat. I would do this over several days. I would even give them small gifts that I would bring from the states. Then, I would find out who would be working the night shift when I expected to return with with a girl. I would ask them if there would be a problem bringing my girl friend back later on. This always worked well.
Just thought of something-there was a hotel that I used several times when I couldn't chance my associates seeing the girl leave my room the next morning. I don't remember the name. It is on the road going to the airport. On the left side, past the turn-off (right side) for the Bjelo(spelling) Beach Hotel. It is two stories high and close to the hi-way. Seems like it was $5-10. The taxi driver that I used knew of it.

I don't think there is any hard-and-fast rule on the Gambian muslims not "smoking the pole". I got together with one of the waitresses that worked in the hotel where I was staying and she swallowed the "one-eyed-snake" without me asking. Then again, that was the only time out of the 4 or 5 times we were together. I don't think they are to much into anal. Out of the 4 or 5 I did while there, I never got an offer for it.

Just back from the Gambia, had the greatest time.

Gambia is a safe place nowadays, where you can go out safely.
Most of the people go out as from 09pm. Just go to the street that leads to the Kairaba Hotel, have a beer on one of the terraces and enjoy the view.

When I was there, it was low season (april-sept) and this means low on tourists. So you can imagine there were enough nice ones to choose from.

On the first night I had a great kinky time with a huge breasted girl. She took me to her home (safe, no electricity, but no problem) and boy she was good. ended up doing some bondage on het huge tits and some spanking, wich she enjoyed and begged for more...

I have been in The Gambia 3 times during the last ten years, each time for a stay of 2 weeks or more, and have enjoyed all 3 visits thoroughly. Virtually every hotel that I've ever stayed in or visited is girl-friendly. The only exception might be the Kairaba Hotel (the nice hotel next to the Senegambia) but even there you should be ok (the girl might have to leave her ID at reception, however, which is for your protection).

Airline Pilot's comments are correct and similar to what I've posted elsewhere. Many of the girls that you'll find are not hookers, just girls looking for some companionship and who will hope to be with you more than once and be your girlfriend. But after enjoying a great night together with at least two "pops," also remember that they will expect some sort of a cash gift in the morning, not cash for sex, but cash for "a taxi" or "to buy lunch" or "buy a new pair of shoes."

It's probably not worth it to stay in Banjul itself, as most of the hotels (other than the Atlantic Beach) are dumps, plus you can't really swim there. Stay at one of the beach hotels south of town in Kololi (Kairaba, Senegambia) or Kotu (Bungalow Beach, Kombo Beach, Badala Park) or Bakau (Sunwing, Cape Point, African Village, Atlantic Guest House) and at least you can go swimming during the day.

Staying outside of town is not a big deal, as it is not expensive to go into Banjul for the day to go shopping, etc. In the evenings, you could also take a cab into Banjul, but most of the nightlife is outside of downtown Banjul anyway, so I doubt if you'll be there much. Also, if you're at one of the beach hotels, you can easily join one of the day trips for tourists to places such as Abuko nature Reserve (underrated), see the wood carvers at Brikama, go south to the beach and crocodile pool at Kartong, or take the Roots tour to Juffure, Kunta Kinte's village (overrated but interesting if you've never seen much of the African countryside).

Although this is obvious, it is also worth repeating - Always use a condom! Bring a couple of dozen of your own with you.

Also, be careful with your cash/valuables - although the non-hookers may not try to rip you off, many of the regular hookers may try to pick-pocket you (it's happened to me). Many hotels have safe deposit boxes - use them!

I am new to writing in this forum but have injoyed reading it in the past.

I travel to Gambia alot and frequent the Jokov club {pronounced Joko} situated in serrekunda. This is a late night place and has very decent looking female company. The choice is ten girls to every one man on ladies night. I cannot comment if they are pros or not but they do give you the eye and very willing to chat and more.

The Calabash is another club in the Palma Rima area. here over 90 percent of the girls are pros. The ratio is normally twenty girls to every man on ladies night. The Waaw or Wow club in Senegambia road is just a disco up stairs and open seating plan facing the street occupied by hookers only.

Remember Gambian society does not have the same stigma to hookers as you and I know of. They regard their profession much more of a normality and will not understand why you are not open about your intents or requirment.

Due to the high levels of poverty there, many very nice girls will make themselve avliable to you and expect sex to be the end product. These are not hookers but will expect a good time, meals,money outing in return. The cost to you will be peanuts.
White english girls who holiday in Gambia are pestered by street boys also known as bumsters. The reason is that English girls are known to pick up street boys for sex. The street boy gets sex as well as money in return. You will notice this on a large scale in Gambia. Gambian girls do not touch these boys as they consider them dirty.

On the same note the non hooking gambian girl has but her body to offer for similar return. She is not a hooker and will treat you with alot of respect. Her conversation will be non financial in tone and she will not have sex with you without a condom.
you will notice the obvious hookers a mile away.

My suggention is not to book an inclusive tour in Gambia but to get a flight and check in to a hotel. Its cheaper.

In Banjul you might get a place like the Carlton Hotel for 800 Dalas {£15} per night. Banjul has nothing to offer so a hotel outside the city like the Badala park hotel at 1000 dalas {£19} per night will be more economical as travelling to and from Banjul will cost you more. Remember all the the places you want to be are outside Banjul. Then again Hotels in Banjul other than The Atlantic hotel are rubbish compared to the Badala park or others you will find in Palma Rime, Serrekunda and kololi area.

For men looking for action, carry your own condoms, and a good piece of action can be had for £10. {500 Dalas}

To give you an idea of the local spending power, a share taxi costs 4 Dalas {8Pence}. A policeman earns 1500 Dalas {£30} per month.

You are a rich man there, treat them with respect and be generous to their standard. They are a very friendly lot and will treat you well.

Adding to my last report-

While there in NOV/DEC I drove by The Wheel and noticed it was down for renovation.
WAAW (pronounced WoW) was closed. Some speculation by the employees that it would be shut down for a month or even forever. Don't mean to scare anyone off but the fact is there was a fight that started inside the club between a couple of drug dealers that ended outside in a stabing. 1st in Gambia in several years. If I was there I would go to this club the first night it reopened. I think it was a one time thing. Never saw any fights the whole time I was there.
The Joker is good, but doesn't start until late. Friday and Saturday are the best.
I did not experience it until the last couple of weekends that I was there, but Calabus (not sure of the spelling) is great! Higher class of girls show up here. It is only open on Friday and Saturday nights.
Tropacana (previously called Spy Bar) is good on Friday and Saturday nights. Starts late. Week days it is dead.

One thing I noticed about Gambia, everybody seems to be available. I understand the unemployment rate is approx. 85%. The ones that are employed earn about 30 US dollars per month. All you need to do is approach them and talk to them. When I was there I attended a fashion show at one of the hotels. I ended up "hooking-up" with a couple of the models because I talked with them a bit after the show.
I even found that in the hotels that the maids and waitresses are even avilable. You just need to chat-them-up.
Great country! With 4 inches of snow on the ground outside right now and it still falling I can't wait to get back to the warm weather and even warmer girls of Gambia.

I just returned from a five week business trip to Gambia. I agree with some of connander's observations and also disagree with some.
Didn't really have a lot of time to hobby. I was with 5 different girls. 2 for multiple times with some of the best sex that I have ever had and I've been all over the world! 3 of the 5 girls were not only circumcised but their whole clit was completely gone! They acted like it was completely normal and said they were still able to have an organism-who knows. 3 of them sucked without asking. 2 were muslim. Easy way to tell if they are muslim or christian is by there name. Christians will have names like Mary, Francine, Jane or something like that. Muslims will have names like Fatou, Isatou or Binta. I also found that about 20% of the working girls in Gambia are from Gambia. Most are from Liberia, Sierra Leone or other war torn countries. If the Gambian girls find it nessary to "hook" they will go to Senegal. Gambia is so small that everybody knows everybody. I found Gambia to be a great country and didn't feel uncomfortable going out at night by myself and I'm white. I plan to return soon.
One last point- the Calabus (not sure of the spelling)night club is fantastic! Some really first class girls. Some working and some not. It is only open on Fri. and Sat. nights with action starting around 11.

Travel report from Gambia.

I was in Gambia in dec-03 , and here is my experience.

At first, the local boys are a big problem hassleing you where ever you go. This is definitely one of the worst places I have been to when it comes to this, and
I have been to more then 30 countries).

About the girls, there were mainly two areas where we found the most hookers. Around the streetcafe`s at Senegambia Strip just outside Senegambia Hotel in Kololi, and
the Affra club/seven seven in the Fajara area. Normaly the girls start showing up from around 9pm, but most will be there first at 11pm. The number of girls are maby around 30 depends on the eaening, and some of them is really good looking. For a fuck they will start asking 1000 Dalasy (1 us = 30 D: dec –03) but we got them for 400-500 D. If you stay in one of the bigger hotels expect to pay the night watchman.

At our hotel they wanted ridiculous 500 D (almoast a months wages). In daytime it will be hard to get them inside. You can always bring them to a small guest house with rooms mainly for fucking. We paid 150/night but it was definitely no suite( very basic). You can find better ones also for 300 D and up.

In bed the girls were really not that good. I had several and had struggle with most of them in one way or another (like no sucking, no kissing, more money and so on.)

Trying to avoid the Muslim girls will save you some hassle. They will probably refuse to suck your dick and most of them has got their clitoris removed. (believe me I saw it. And as one Muslim woman told me,”- the mouth is for eating food and nothing else”)
Gambian girls are Muslims but there are girls from many other afrikan countries too, so if your looking for full service its not so hard to get anyway, but you will be limited. And many of the ladys don't suck dick without condom.

I really hope Afrika has something better to offer than this, otherwise the continent will be a big disappointment for those who want quality sex with full service. If anyone know were to go please write a note here.

I will be back next time, but not from Gambia.
