This is so true. I am preparing for my second trip after 2009 and I miss and remember it dearly. Even the "without company" times with your particular poison are decent just contemplating life and trying every restaurant that peaks your interest. For a man with a little money in his pocket, you could do a lot worse. Highly recommended.

So I finally headed to Ghana! My last trip was nearly a decade ago, but I was better prepared this time, courtesy of afrointroduction, badoo and tagged. I was met at the airport by one of my internet contacts, who seemed to be wealthier than most because she had her own driver! All good. Except that she looked way better in the photos, was kinda psycho controlling, and lived way up north of Accra, necessitating hours of traffic jams (not what you want on holiday). So after 3 days of tourist stuff and so-so sex at her place, I gave her the slip.

I found a nice place near to Tawala beach, and discovered that it was near to Jokers Pub, a name which rang a bell. The owner recommended it, and I went to check it out. WOW! For anyone who enjoys shapely black girls, this place is not to be missed. Yes, they're all p4p, and it's pricey, but it's worth it just to check out the goods even if you're not buying. The girls really make an effort, and they look amazing. You have all sorts: tall, skinny supermodel types; big, strong Serena Williams-lookalikes; athletic babes that look as if they just ran in the 100m at the World Athletic Champs; ladies carrying (well) a few extra pounds of junk in the trunk; there was even a dumpy 50 year old white woman there if that's what floats your boat, LOL.

They all dress to impress, and the atmosphere is good...

This is a very revealing post although I am surprised that it appeared on Trip Advisor. Not the usual review that you find on that website!

The girl could have been crazy but in fact I think that she was very calculating. She claims that she does not go with men for money although she asked whether he wanted her for the night or for the whole stay. She holds out the possibility for some fun until they got into the room, then invokes the "no sex on the first night" clause. All bad signs. Then she waits until HE is naked and asleep then hits him with the glass object and runs out without her stuff to allege to the receptionist that HE was trying to **** ****. She can claim that she had to run without her stuff because she was afraid.

I would love to know the outcome - the narrator does not make it clear - but I am guessing that the ending was far from happy. Most likely HE would have to pay up significantly more than the original 100 Cedis as "compensation. " If the cops are involved, HE will have to pay more. And perhaps she has a cop in her pocket.

There is more than a subtle difference between this case and the case of the guy found dead in Paloma. The chap in Paloma was found dead, apparently murdered by having his throat cut and HE was robbed. There is a difference between extortion and murder / robbery. And also the cops are highly likely not to be involved in such a murder.

This is one of the reasons why I tend to go for the very few massage places with extras. That and the fact that most African ladies want to chain you up as the boyfriend after just one shag, even those ladies who are hardened pros, although most of the hardened pros will deny they are even pros. Next thing you know they are either waiting for you outside your office or your apartment / house. That is why I always drop it into the conversation that I have a Ghanaian wife who is really tough and her brother is a senior policeman.

As I have experienced more than one time, to meet a Nigerian gal in Ghana is not the best experience a monger can have. They are of course averagely more beautiful then native ones but about character, behaviour, damage, consequences, ... better an indigenous!

To put it in context, if I were to ask a resident of Texas, Germany, UK or Spain about whether there had been an impact on the hobby at those locations following the Ebola cases in those countries, you would think that I had lost touch with reality. You are now asking us about the impact of Ebola in Ghana, a country where there has never been a single Ebola case, where there has never been a single Ebola case even in any immediate neighbouring country.

There are no direct flights from Ghana to any of Sierra Leone, Liberia or Guinea.

The answer is that there has been no impact. Even the ladies from those countries who cannot return back to their home country are probably balanced out by the fact that ladies from those countries who might have come to Ghana and be available for the hobby are not able to come to Ghana.

Reports of a British guy who was apparently killed and robbed at Paloma Hotel last Sunday are only coming in today. His throat was cut and his briefcase was broken into and there was apparently signs of a struggle.
Info is sketchy but apparently the hair of a woman was found at the scene and is being analysed.

I was just there last week and can confirm Vienna and Champs are both open. Champs has a 20-cedi entry fee, but they give you vouchers which you can redeem at the bar for the same amount. Quite a good idea IMO as it stops goofy losers stinking up the joint.
