Friday night at Tops and Tails bar on Spintex Road. It's a long way out, upstairs in a row of shops past the Coca Cola roundabout, on the right hand side, opposite Standard Chartered Bank.

Got there about midnight, reasonable crowd (say two thirds male) at the bar and the pool tables, some dancers really enjoying themselves, very good music. After a half hour I caught a flash out of the corner of my eye and turned to find a girl swinging horizontally past my head on the platform just behind me. It had been empty moments before. After five minutes, her dress was rolled up to show black sequinned garters (strange to see without stockings). After ten minutes she was down to underwear and showing just how strong her muscles were, including her fine six pack and ass control. That's fun to watch when clothed but even more impressive when you can see every muscle, movement and ripple. The other girl was built for men who like more padding but still able to climb a pole and turn upside down with ease. It was a one act show but apparently a regular Friday feature.

It's mainly a good-natured and local in-crowd from Sakumono and Tema. There's a small outside terrace with some tables and roast food is served just outside downstairs at the entrance. I was the only obroni. Lots of the girls wore short shorts, the first time that I have seen so many do so. It was a far less 'professional' and slick set than many clubs in Accra. There were a couple of stunners, including one tall girl wearing skin-tight jeans and a tramp stamp that was very evident above her low waist band and another with a particularly sensual way of dancing, holding her arms up in the air and holding her breasts while moving her hips and ass in a way that had her partner salivating. There were also groups of girls together, out to enjoy themselves. Some of the most gleeful dancers were among the largest but they could they go for hours on end without breaking a sweat. One guy and his girlfriend were very keen to set me up with someone and kept asking me who I liked. I laughed that there were too many too choose from and that some would be far too much woman for me.

Efi (which means 'Friday') deliberately caught my eye as I stood outside with a drink at 3. 30am. Slim, asymmetric white shirt left unbuttoned at the bottom to show her navel, black shorts. She knew that I had watched her earlier dancing with a group of girl friends. She then waved me over to say 'you are invited', meaning to share the chicken and rice she was eating. She comes from near Akosombo and works at a food stall in Tema market. You can spot a girl who works (as opposed to a working girl) by her short finger nails.

She watched me closely and smiled as she slowly sucked on her fingers, licking them clean and pouting her lips. Chatting, she then wondered if obronis tasted different. I asked her what she meant, to chicken? Putting her hand down, she said I felt different. Efi made it quite clear that she wanted to know. Parts of me did also so we went to a lodge up a nearby side road to find out for a short time. I don't know about different but she was so caught up that I thought she was going to eat me at one stage. She laughed that it was as well she had chopped first. She was fascinated by the dotted condoms I had bought in a filling station and enjoyed putting them on and using them. She liked the camera and posed lots but only wanted me to keep photos that did not show her face.

Efi wants to test the recipe again. She has no mobile but says that she's often at Tops'and'Tails on a Friday so I could meet her there again. I'm not sure if my ingredients are up to her cooking technique but it might be fun to try.

Met this Liberian on her way home from ladies' night at Epos club.

She didn't refuse a lift with a slight detour."I go make you feel good" she said. She was right. It works both ways. She has a very expressive face that alternated between surprise and lip chewing.

I think you might also have memories of beads Hesekiels.

I am currently in Senegal making the best of it. Not much luck on freelance pickup, but the Afro girls I have met were more than willing to bang after just one meeting. But the French and other $$$ throwing mongers have corrupted Dakar. Would you believe that a fat chick had the audacity to ask me to drop $300 for an all night session? I looked at that lady dog like she was crazy and told her to bounce. But enough about Senegal as I will post my experience in that forum. I will be going to Ghana in August. Perhaps I might meet up with some fellow mongers in Ghana.

La beach can be good for people watching. These pics are from last weekend as this weekend has been rained out. Spent some time generally watching the social scene from a favourite bar (it's recently renovated so now can catch a breeze and a view from upstairs).

Chatted to an Israeli tourist over lunch. She was amazingly endowed but photo shy. Shame. Her hut in La Palm was a good way to spend the evening over a bottle of wine. That was a first. An interesting change so must be time for a break.

On the New Town Road towards the francophone club in Kokomlemle.

As I said, hard to ignore such a figure walking along so I offered a lift. After a drink in the club, we went off to make music in a more private place.

Don't have her number as she had lost her phone. I have a few missed calls from numbers I don't know so one of them may be her. Hope so.

There really is no reason to pay such a high rate from the airport. All you have to do is walk 30 yards to the parking lot across the street from the pickup area, and you will be quoted a lower rate (approx. 10 cedis to center of town).

If you walk out of the arrival lounge and go over to departures or some of the parking lots you can get much lower fares to town.

La Beach at the weekend is always worth a look, for entertainment value and crowd-watching. The girls tend to hang out ina few clusters, to the left as you enter.

However, you never know who you will meet. Perfection is always a pleasure when encountered.
