I wasn't saying that a little extra cushion was bad, I am not a surfer or carpenter, but I also prefer women that weighs less than me and still resembles a woman (curves). Thats all. IMHO. So please don't take it to heart. I was just expecting something more like this.

How can someone who has never been to Ghana come up with the firm conclusion that "they are a team of liars." Funny, I lived in and around Accra for two years, and I never came to that judgment. I found the people, in general, to be warm, gracious, and extremely welcoming to strangers. As has been my experience in other places around the world, I discovered that if you treat women with a modicum of respect, accord them some dignity and respond to them as people, the question of money largely disappears.

Be careful of tarnishing the reputation and character of an entire country because of some virtual reality experiences with a few women.

I agree with GoodEnough. I travel to Ghana once or twice a year and I also find the people to be warm, helpful and welcoming to strangers.

In fact ,I love the country and people so much that I have dropped Thailand and only travel to Ghana to meet girls..

I will take your advice and try some casual offer of buying them a drink and see what happens. It just boggles the mind that a drink can lead to some luck later on. I will keep you posted. I am not going until July.

I think it's a good choice. If money is not a problem, then personally I would stay at La Palm out on the coastal road. It's only a ten minute ride or so from Jokers, and its pleasant to be on the beach. The beach of course is no great shakes, and you will not hang out there, but it's nice to look at. If you want a more moderately priced, but still nice hotel with a pool, you might try the Shangri La in the airport area. This is a private hotel and not part of the five star chain.

As to hunting, you can do it anywhere. I have picked up women in the lounges of five star hotels, in the clubs, in restaurants, parking lots, stores and everywhere but the street. It's so easy that believe me, you will figure it all out in a couple of hours. Smile. Be charming, Invite them for a drink. Don't treat any of them like hookers, and you will be home free. the biggest club in Accra is, or at least was, Macumba when I was there. It's teeming with women, but most of them are pros. I always favored Jokers and Aquarius more, but there's alot of carry over from place to place.

Relax and enjioy yourself. Accra is a great city and you should have an excellent time.

I am very greatful for all the advise I have got, without even asking for it. The 25. of March I will be off to Africa again, first as always a few days to Addis Abeba which i do consider as "some sort of my second home".

Then, depending on how soon i can part from Addis i will fly to Nairobi, just 2 days and after that to Accra for around 3 weeks. I am a little nervous, because I do not know anything about the place, except what i read here or in guidebooks. I just feel I have to go to some other places as Ethiopia all the time.

I do hope I will find a decent priced hotel 30 Dollar the most. (In Addis I stay for 10 Dollars) Well, I will write a few things after the trip, bought even for the first time a digital-camera. So if someone has advises, I still have 10 days left before I go.

In addition to what's on this thread, do you have any suggestions for places to stay, eat and hunt in Accra, or should I head for the beach areas? Cheers.

I will be in Accra for 2 weeks in July. I know that Frankies and the Food Court are good places to score but are there any other areas other than the university that are good places to chat up girls and get lucky. Or is it just that easy and eventually someone who go back to your hotel?

It is true there are alot more girls coming into Ghana from all over west africa. I met this fine fine looking honey at Jokers. As most mongers who have frequented Jokers will know, most chicks hanging out alone there are usually of the working variety. I unfortunately made the mistake of assuming she was one and when I made my intentions clear got bounced true and proper. I think if I played my cards right and smooth talked her I woulda got some action but it would have required a night or two of sweet talking. If you guys are up for that then you will have a nice selection here to work with. Whether it be paying straight up or working a bit for it you will find alot. Especially if you are a foreigner. Please don't pay over the top though. I think a decent amount to pay is still around 150,000 to 180,000 cedis. Hell even that might be a bit high on some occasions.
