I arrive late to my hotel and I noticed that next to my hotel there was a place that looks like a bar with girls. I check into my room and go directly there. The place was empty except for 6 girls.

Here is a longer report of my recent trip to Abidjan with a more detailed description of my interactions with the girls. I have read many of the reports of Pat Benetar and Scot123 learning a lot in the process, so I am happy to comply with their request. I hope that the report is not too long.

Trip: Around 2 weeks. I was there for work and I only have time for the hobby in the evenings. I also could not stay very late, since I have to go to work by 8:30. I usually return to the hotel around 18:30. My hotel was in a residential neighborhood far from zone 4.

Preliminaries: I read this board and check the St Germain (sp?) web page. My plan was to go to St Germain.

Night 1: A driver picks me up at the airport and takes me to the hotel. I arrive late to my hotel and I noticed that next to my hotel there was a place that looks like a bar with girls. I check into my room and go directly there. The place was empty except for 6 girls. 3 of the girls were fat with big buts which were not my taste. The other 3 were more proportional and one of them was really pretty (Domi, who was an 8 in my scale). I also found attractive Elvi (7) and Mapi (6.5). As soon as I walk into the bar, the girls swarm to me. I was able to dodge the fuglies, but no Mapi who sits next to me. She tries to sell me a bottle of whiskey ($40) , but I refused and instead I buy $1.50 local beers for me and 4 of the girls. My goal was to get rid of Mapi and go to Domi without causing a scene. So I invite Domi to dance and we connected really well, even though I do not speak French and she does not speak English. I was very tired. I promised to see her next day, we kiss and I left.

My thoughts after 1 night in Abidjan: I have found gold in the most unexpected place and it is on my fingertips. This is too easy. I don't need to go to St Germain, I am going to score every night with Domi who based on the pictures is in the top 20% of the girls in St Germain. Things didn't turn out to be that way.

Day 2: I was able to get a sim card for my phone and change money. I go to the bar around 7 and my dreams unravel. First, Domi was attending another customer and Mapi came charging after me. I end up sitting next to Mapi again. Again Mapi wants me to buy a bottle of whiskey and I refuse. I stick to the local beer for all of us. I was keeping the company of the girls and spending little money. However, Mapi was all over me and I wanted to get rid of her and go to Elvi (I thought that I have lost Domi). I them came out with the great (terrible in reality) idea about asking how much will cost me for them to come with me to the room. Because we cannot communicate at all, Mapi calls the manager (Coco) to translate, since he can speak English. Although, at the beginning I was suspicious of Coco, we become friends immediately. Mapi wants $300 and Elvi gets offended saying that she is no that kind of girl. I tell Mapi to get lost.

Now I start talking with Coco and he tells me that this is not the right place to score. The girls in this bar work as barmaids until around 1:00AM and are not prostitutes in the open. However, every time a girl meets an older white guy, she thinks that her life is going to change and she will be all over this guy. Technically, she is not a prostitute, but she will ask you for a lot gifts. She will do the same to an African boyfriend. Coco knows of better places and better girls to score. Coco also says that the best place is zone 4, but it is far from where we are.

In the meantime Domi starts arguing with Mapi and a huge fight breaks out between the two. They rip each other hairs, broken glasses, blood, and so on. Security come to separate them and Coco tells me to leave. I find out the next day that both Domi and Mapi are fired.

Recap after 2 days: I found out later that I caused the fight by giving them both signals that I like them. If I wanted Domi, I should have made that clear to Mapi and wait for the customer to finish his drink then she will be mine. Instead I was touching all the girls creating the wrong impressions.

My problem is that now there are only four girls and I only like one (Elvi).

Day 3: I got Elvi all to myself and I have a great time. Coco tries to take me for a tour of Abidjan by night by I decline. This was a big mistake.

Days 4-7: I spent all my nights with Elvi and she sleeps with me. She does not ask me for anything but I give her between $20-$30. She never complains. Coco stops coming to the bar.

Recap after 7 days: I got tired of Elvi and there are better fishes in the pond. She is nice, but if I could go to St Germain, she will be average at best. On top of that, there was this rich guy (he was a local politician) who comes often to the bar with a 10 and I was there with a 7 (may be 6.5). I saw other mongers with 8s.

Day 8: I call Coco and explain my situation. He comes to my rescue and we quietly leave in a taxi. I gave Elvi some silly excuse. Because it was night and the language barrier, I could not tell where we were going. Finally, we arrive to this 'Dream Bar' that I describe in my previous post. Coco explains to me how it works. The girls have very little cloth and do some strip tease shows. If you buy a bottle of whisky they will come to seat with you. If you only buy beer, they will not come. They are also available for sex in some rooms in the back. There were around 40 girls and 80 guys. I was the only white person. The girls range from a 9 to several fuglies that African actually like. We buy a bottle of whiskey ($40) and in no times we have girls. This little spinner was all over me, but this time I wanted to be patient. Finally, the spinner notices that I was looking at this tall beautiful woman who was at least a 9. She tells me I will get you that girl (pros are not jealous). The spinner sits next to Coco and I get the prettiest one. We start kissing and so on. Now they start putting pressure on us to go to the back. Coco negotiates a $10 fee for each girl. I paid for his girl and my girl. I go to the back and have BBBJ and regular sex with my girl (I don't remember her name). It was more like a porn star experience than a girlfriend experience. After sex, she tells me that she needs to go, but she wants me to stay. I go back to the club and sit next to Coco and his girl. My girl has to do her show. She is pretty good and you can tell that this girl wants to be in porn. The crazy part is at the end of her show. She is naked and comes to me. She wants me to perform oral sex on her (DATY) in front of everybody. I do it. The DJ and everyone were screaming. She was moaning like a porn star. The next girl that performs also wants the same from me. This is too risky for my taste. Now I am ready to leave. She gives me her number, she wants me to call. She says that she will love to come to my hotel.

Recap of day 8: Even though this girl is a 9, she is a psyco and only thinks about sex. What if this shows up in youtube?

Day 9: After that night, I decide that I would like to go out with a normal girl that is at least an 8. I think of Domi. May be I can call her? I get her telephone number from one of her friends and I call her. She is very happy to hear from me. We arrange to meet. She is super fun and I really like her. She calls me her 'mari. ' She brings her sister who actually speaks English and she is also hot. We go out to a marqui and then to a discotheque (Blue Tooth). There we meet her sister's boyfriend who pays for half the whisky bottle ($40) and I pay the rest. A lot of kissing, but no sex.

Days 10-11: I go out with Domi every night, but I start to see a darker side of her. She starts to ask me about money all the time (l'argent!) to fix all her problems. I never gave her more than $20. She is also mean to other girls (she goes back to the bar and tells Elvi that now I am her man, Elvi is crushed but she does not get into a fight).

Recap of days 9-11: Domi is too much for me. She actually thinks that I am going to change her life. I have two days left. Also my co-workers at the office are planning for me a tour of zone 4 for the last day (Friday).

Day 12: Coco calls me. He wants me to introduce me to two girls. I tell Domi that I am sick and say yes to Coco. We meet in an European style restaurant, the girls are more educated than the previous ones. They have an associate degree and they have real jobs. They are also part time models. They are not 10's in my book. May be 8's. They speak some English. The name of my girl is Lynn and the other name is Benedicte. We have a good night and they wanted to go to a discotheque. I could not go, because it was already late and I have to wake up early in the morning. Lynn tells me that she is very comfortable with white men and she was engaged before with an older french man. She wants to meet the last day, but I have the tour of zone 4 that I was dreaming. I check Lynn on facebook (we are not friends, but I check her anonymously). She post daily and she has like 600 pictures there. I can tell you that she has many admirers and at least halve are white.

Day 13: The tour of zone 4, becomes a tour of Youpougon. They say zone 4 is too far away. We first eat at a local restaurant (marqui) , then they show me the remains of Rue Princess, we go to a few discotheques with no much action, and we end up in this discotheque that is basically empty. They say that the next week will be busier, because people will get paid. At this point I was thinking, this is a disaster I wasted my last night. Then I start noticing things. First, two of my co-workers have called their lovers. We are now 5 guys, but 2 have girls. Basically every man with a job here has a girlfriend on the side. Second, because the discotheque was empty the barmaids start dancing with us. They tend to be the prettier girls in the disco. One of them was really pretty (8. 5) and she notice that I was looking at her. Suddenly, she comes and sits next to me. We start dancing and then we start talking with the help of one of my friends who translate. Her name is Sandra. She then brings the topic that she would like to see me again the next day. She works until 6:00 and she promise to come to my hotel at 13:00. I need to leave my hotel by 18:00. To my surprise she comes and she is really good in bed. I gave her $30 and she seems happy. I wish if I had met her earlier.

Miscellaneous: Around my 10th day there my co-workers took me to this local restaurant who was very close to the strip tease bar that I visited earlier by chance. I notice the amount of beautiful girls in that area. There are many of those marquis over there. My co-coworkers told me that was prime area to get girls. I wish if they should have taken me there the first day.

Final thoughts: I am desperate to go back. There are plenty of girls for all tastes, as long as you like black. The worst part for me is that I only scratch the surface. I made many mistakes. I saw many mongers with really pretty girls. I could have done much better. I also saw former mongers that have actually married these girls, so be careful.

I agree, and I'm told I need only a booster shot that is less potent, I have met a nice English / French local female online and have several non-pros lined up.

Hopefully, with a one month stay I will have some nice photos to share with whatever else I learn.

Thanks in advance for any important info to guide me as I have always relied on ISG to point me in the right direction.

Also, as I mentioned previously, I have found a serviced apartment with wifi, no kitchen though, in Cocody for 15000CFA per day. If anyone has a better deal they know about please let me know.

Also, in regard to the yellow fever, if approved for visa they will still look at my certification? Sounds like I need to get that booster shot. My big fear, (and this happened in Kenya) , they will not accept a bribe, (I speak no French) and want to vaccinate me there using a 16 penny nail!

I would just recommend getting the shot ahead of time. I never recall getting ill from the shot itself aside from slight soreness at the injection site. I just did a bunch of push ups and went about my business. Those airports that actively check if you have a current immunization always have their medical staff on hand to administer the shot, at a price, to those who are out of periodicity.

Once you're in the country, it's always a good idea to carry small amounts of cash in different pockets. That way, when you get shaken down, you can reach into any pocket and say that is all you have left. Some other officer just took the rest a few hours ago.

My 10 year vaccination expires on the 27th. Does anyone know if the consulate is a problem on this issue? I just do not want to go get it again as I will travel 1st week in Sept.

Due to the little activity that this forum has had since the crisis, I will update some of the information from a work related trip to Abidjan. I only have time for girls at night and I needed to be careful. My information is only partial because I could not make it to zone 4. Still, I hope that fellow board members will appreciate the info.

Security: The city is perfectly safe if one take the usual precautions. Sometimes police stop taxis for random searches, but I was never asked for a bribe and it was only a minor inconvenience.

Places to find WG: The best place is zone 4. Everyone told me that is the place to be for having fun. Unfortunately, I never made it to zone 4 and can't contribute on places over there. We all known of the St Germain Night Club, but I understand that the action there is widespread.

Fortunately, there is action everywhere in the city and there is no need to go to zone 4 if you are not close. I did the hunting in Cocody and Youpugon. In Cocody the best place is around a strip bar called 'Dreams Bar. ' In this bar girls will dance naked and they are available in private rooms in the back. Just outside the bar there are a number of maquees under a big tree and a ton of amazing women for the taking. This seems the place to be for students from the university that is very close. Most taxis will not know how to get there, but is right behind a grocery store called 'Leader Price' and most taxi drivers know where this grocery store is located. The general area is called Riviera Golf.

In Youpugun now the action is more spread out. The famous 'Rue Princess' is mostly gone, the current government cleaned it up last year and they move to zone 4. Still there are plenty of places to find girls; they are not just as concentrated. Youpugon is considered a middle class neighborhood and it is also relatively safe, but more dangerous than Cocody. Many people live here and they are famous for partying.

Bars: Most barmaids are available after their shift is over (1:00AM for bars and 6:00AM for discotheques). I was able to get 3 girls this way without trying very hard and without speaking french. They may also came to your room right before their shift the next day.

Discotheques: I went to 3 discotheques (Bluetooth in Cocody, Tunnels in Youpougon, and Voila (sp?) in Youpougon. Most girls are there with a date and the music is too loud. It is difficult to approach girls there unless you are willing to move your ass into the dancefloor.

Girls: The best of Abidjan is the quality of the girls. They are really attractive and they know how to dress. They also know how to seduce us. I was only after girls that were 7 or up. However, they are very possessive and the non-pros don't know how to share. Two girls in a bar got in a huge fight for me that included broken glasses and cuts. Also be careful because many of these girls are in facebook and may track you down.

SW: I didn't see any place with obvious SW.

Tips: Many of these girls that work in bars or go to these places, they don't see themselves as hookers. They just expect a present from you as a boyfriend. It may take you two days to score and you will have to take her to a discotheque. The discotheques do not have cover charge, but you will be pressure to buy a bottle of whiskey ($20-$40).

Prices: Depends on your negotiations skills, the quality of the girl, and how you treat her. If the girl think that you are a one time proposition, she will want more. I paid ranging from $10 to $40 for LT / high quality girls and none of the girls complained. However, when you add drinks, food, and taxi you should budget around $50-$60 per night.

If there is interest, I can write a more detailed trip report describing all the drama that I have with these girls, but I will need another week.

There are girls outside of the Pullman (slightly down the road) , so you can go out and find one and bring her back in. But I would ask the bellman to find one for me, assuming tu parles Francais. They can usually find a student / non WG with half day notice. USD 100 is more than enough.

I go non pro route and never drop $100USD for a night of fun. And I do manage to bag some very nice hotties. I spent a few days with some lovelies in Ghana, Uganda, and Kenya and never handed over more than $50USD for several days of fun. So doing the math, I had much fun, ate cheap, and gave the ladies an average of $10 to $15 USD per day I was with them which is more than they would earn per day at a job if they had one (they usually did not have anything substantial going on with most of them working unpaid internships). You guys may rue the day you were dropping C notes like they were dollar bills, just ask any broke multi million lottery winner!
