Hi,
I am not new to Africa (currently in Lagos, and know Nairobi very well) , but arriving this Monday in Abidjan for the 1st time. Will stay in Pulman hotel. Of course, I am reading like crazy on this site, to get informed where to get girls that I can trust, but if you like to add more advice, it will be appreciated, and if somebody wants to join having a beer while hunting, let me know as well.

Everything is fine now in Abidjan. All hotels at the plateau are girl friendly (if you talk nicely to the staff) : Novotel, Pullman, Ivoire. Lots of girls just outside of hotels (never inside).
Jusdt go to Saint-Germain, nice place to meet; o)

Hi guys, I need some valuable info here. I'm heading to Abidjan in a few weeks for a 2 weeks stay and I'd like to know if anyone knows how to rent a studio in Abidjan, where to look. I've been trying to find on the net but to avail. Also what are the prices. You can PM me if you wish. Its going to be my first time over there but unlike some of you do not enjoy the company of WG. I will focus my attention to regular girls, students etc. I forget to mention that I speak french fluently.

The police have been instructed to stop racketeering cars and tourists. We were stopped a few times but they only checked the drivers' papers. They once extracted a small fine, allegedly for not heeding a STOP signpost. You should not drive during the day with the lights on. That's a sign used by big-shots in case they've been hijacked. My girl was stopped when she drove with her lights on: 15 policemen (or soldiers) suddenly emerged into the middle of the street and stopped her. They assumed the lights on meant "I'm in trouble, help". It's a long shot from before the war, where anyone in uniform only meant trouble. Drivers overall are also instructed not to sop during the night at dark places, even if waved down by what looks like "police" (guys in uniform). The assumption is that if it's an official (authorized) road block, it will be very visible and well-advertised.
Rue du Canal is a street with SW's at night.
At the end of Rue du Canal there's another street whose name I forgot. There is the St-Germain, the disco which gets full at week-end. Lots of absolute stunners! Here's their website :

Abidjan is swinging again. The ratio of girls to males is not as good as in the Cameroons though. On the other hand Abidjan promises to become a real city, complete with venues and supermarket, while Cameroonian cities will remain hopelessly underdeveloped.
One crappy piece of news: the Ivorians have taken it into their heads to require biometric visas from toursists. I could still get a normal visa through a visa agency. A biometric visa requires you to travel twice to the embassy / consulate!Last edited by XXL; 04-01-12 at 12:36. Reason: Web site of disco added

All visitors require a visa. And to get that visa a Yellow Fever vaccination is officially required. With side effects like those above I'd rather take my chances without, if I could get in. Anyone know of a way around the vaccine requirement? Possibly by offering tea money via the land border from Ghana, but that assumes visas are available there.
Otherwise Côte d'Ivoire sounds great and, in common with Senegal, prostitution is completely legal there.

A lot of the girls split to other countries like Ghana, Togo, Benin, Mali, Burkina. They been making their way back the last few months. Also, a lot of the ex-pat johns also split. They're also making their way back slowly.
So, I can imagine the prices must be lower than normal due to supply and demand!
Please report!

Greetings all.
I am in Abidjan for a few days and am looking for some pretty female companionship. Staying up in the Plateau area. I am not sure of the good and safe places to go. I'm used to being over in Asia, so not sure what's going on over here. It looks like most of the reports here are outdated, bad links, etc.
What's the deal with taxis? Do they quote fair rates or should I expect to get ripped off?
What's the going rates for short / long time?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
