[Ty Down]

It's been a couple years since I've been in West Africa and I'm starting to get the urge to return. Here's a hot little Liberian (Tete) I met in Ghana, her family was at the Budubaram Liberian Refugee Camp just outside of Accra. Tete was a whole lot of fun, great body, great personality and funny as hell, she should have been a comedian. She returned to Monrovia about 5 years ago and I've lost track of her, has anyone seen her? She is about 28 years old now.

Thanks gbana man. You are a real trailblazer. Finally hard facts on Liberia. As I said. I had some smoking hot liberian broads in Gambia. Thumbs up. Maybe you write about areas where to live preferrably. Airfield sounds good. I am a cash and carry type of guy. Like to have all facilities in walking distance. Pussy booze food and accommodation. BTW. Where are good beaches for a weekend outing?

Well. Salone is on my todo list. Liberia I don't know yet. But good of you to share info. As info about Liberia is hard to come by. Gambia there is power most of the time. Couple of hours a day the power goes. Moneywise the Dalasi is on a slide so its getting cheaper by the month. Yes 90% plus Muslims. But no problem to get laid at all. Its Africa.

Maybe you share some info about the nightlife. Like venues prices Security etc.

About the nightlife, well actually there are lots of places to hang around town (Monrovia).

I would highly recommend those places;.

As for fancy more decent but also more expensive places:

Celavi Night Club (It can change the name quiet often formerly known as Gossip or De Ja Vu), it's right around Sinkor 24th street. I been there a few times back in 2016, the place is pretty empty still 00:30 but can get really packed especially when a guest artist comes. Entrance fee was 10 $ that time, guess must be around the same now, VIP maybe 20 or 25 $. I don't go there ever since but back in 2016 a stout was 3 $.

Club Destiny around Bay Pas, same entrance fee, a beer is around 3 $.

Capitol Hill around Mamba Point, it's a pretty decent club, I heard you need certain dress code to go in, been there once lots of girls there in the weekend. A beer around 3 yo 4 $.

Red Lion is right in town, a little bar but it has life band and it can be pretty packed in the weekends. Entrance same 10 $ and you can have 2 drinks.

Boulevard Palace it's a 5 star hotel in the main road around 13th street Sinkor, the place will make you forget that you are in Africa, you will feel probably in Dubai LOL. It has a restaurant and bar where lots of slay queens (elite hookers) appear. A beer is around 5 $.

Royal Hotel in Sinkor 15th street right on the main road, it's another fancy hotel it has inside restaurant and on the roof top a bar. You can find here as well slay queen's.

Musu Spot it's on the main road as well in Congo Town. It's a open bar, it can be very packed in dry season in weekends. Drinks and food are again a bit expensive, a beer around 3 $, few piece of chicken and fries 10 $. As I said the place can be packed in weekends so many slay queens can be there for a hunt.

Palm Spring Hotel, also located in Congo Town, it's a hotel but it has it swimming pool area where girls can come to chill or also a casino and a bar where there where they have life ban in the weekends. Entrance it's around 15 $ + a drink, for any other additional drink you pay anything from 3 to 6 $, surely if you open a bottle it can be more expensive.

Golden Gate, Angler's, Farmington Hotel, Fusion, Saj House etc are other decent places to go.

About Local entertainment centers (personally my favourite) since drinks are a lot cheaper in normal price, where they have offers such 4 (beers) for 5 $.

The local entertainment centers are much more packed than the more decent places since the prices are cheaper.

Old Folks (right in Airfield) can be extremely packed in the weekends, also Friday and including Wednesdays (lady's night), the hit ratio is %100, lots of hookers are all around. If you sit and drink alone in the table they will come from their self to sit around you and ask you for a drink. Most of the girls here are available to get for the whole night anything around 5 to 20 $. Many cheap guest houses are around for 10 or 20 $ still morning. The area is not very safe though many hit & runners awaiting you in the entrance. Some can put a eye on you still you get drunk and leave the place. So if you ever go there leave your expensive phone at home / hotel and don't put more than 50 $ in your pocket if you want to only hang there.

Mamuz (It's across the bridge on the other side in Bushroad Island in Brewsterville.) I really like the place it's much likely like Old Folks but with less danger around. It's a open place and it can be very packed during the weekends (guess on Sunday nights even more) A beer is around 1. 50 $ and you can get there nice roast meat or chicken too for just 5 $ or less. The only problem is transportation so it's better you have your own car if you go there because if you try to hire a car late in night especially as a foreigner it can be costly. But I forgot to tell right opposite Mamuz it's Wawuzu a guest house and bar, more decent than Mamuz but a little more expensive so that's why everyone choices Mamuz since its cheaper and more pack. But I would recommend if you don't have a car and you want to chill in Mamuz, pick a chick from Mamuz and carry her to Wawuzu I think to get a room still morning it's around 25-40 $ (short time, 1 hour 10 $).

Now about the security:

To be very honest I don't go night out, walk around (wokobo as they say herw) since almost a year now.

Recently there were elections, many people who have money left the country to America or Europe etc from possibly civil war fear (guess they were not so wrong), since the new president is elected passed more than 5 months but no change has come besides it become much worst the rate and prices are extremely high right now, many people are crying and complaining about the prices and rates. Business going slow, am sure it effected the nightlife too but who has money doesn't really care about it.

The crime and killing rate has also increased in those few months, I think if things continue like this bad bad things might follow up.

Before the Supermarkets was open still 9 to 10 pm but now days they can close at 7 to latest 8 pm.

Well yea, I heard lots of things of Gambia, have few friends there too. As I heard the life is much cheaper than here in Liberia, it's also very close to a more developed African country like Senegal so guess the current is there more stable right? Here in Liberia current business can be really a headache most times. The LEC can come and go quiet often so if possible it's good to keep a generator for emergency but am not really into generator business, it's quick to spoil if you don't know how to treat it and if you use it constantly. But Gambia is a Muslim (%90+) country right?

About food, well yea 500 $ is more than enough for 1 or 2 persons for eating and drinking and a little fun around for a month.

About chicas, they are caliente & ricas chocolate, finding all types here. Very open and friendly.

When are you planning to come over?

Thanks gbanaman for the info. 350 US for Residence is ok. Housing prices in line what I expected. Same in Salone. Right now I rent decent 2 BR house in The Gambia for 140 US a month. Residence Permit is dirt cheap only 75 US. You can get by if you don't eat out in fancy Restaurants and limit your imported foodstuff with 500 US a month. And that includes women and some cervejas. And the electricity supply is a lot better and cheap Charters from Europe in Winter. Had some nice liberian chicas and always fresh meat from most west african countries for sampling.

Well normally as I heard for 1 year it's 350 $, but my own expired over a year so I had to pay with penalty 800 per year so I paid 1600 USD for 2 years (including the expired 1 year.) It's always good to be legal but once you go all around with car no immigration officer will stop you, it's only a headache when you walk around by feet (especially around town) it can be embarrassing sometimes, who would like to be disturbed when you ate going with your girl to the guest house. Wanting to see your residence permit and passport (if not at least the photocopy it'd preferable). The immigration officers like to disturb most of the times for small thing (pocket money).

Well most decent decent houses (apartments) in foreign (first class) quality is pretty expensive anything from 800 to 1500 $ (USD) a month especially around nice decent places in Mamba Point or Sinkor. Most of those places Lebanese are owning and renting it in absurd prices to foreigners, companies, business people etc. But in Liberian standards you can easily find pretty decent places even from the same areas such Sinkor, Mamba Point, Congo Town etc anything around 150 to 300 $ (USB) a month surely not fornicated. But with 1000 $ (USD) or less you can buy pretty much a flat screen, tablet, bed, chairs, fan etc.

If you like quite places, less people, more relaxed place I highly recommend you Hotel Africa but you will surely need a car to go around its a little distance to town and the most thing I don't like about there is the current business. No LEC there, so everybody on generator business.

About Robertsport (The capital of Grand Cape Mount), I don't really go there much but I heard lots of positive things about there. Especially the beaches supposed to be very nice?

But again no LEC on that side, it's more a quiet area.

Like I said those very fancy (luxury) places are in very absurd prices.

Don't fall into this traps unless you have plenty money to burn. There are all around nice houses, you just need to search and search. And when you are going to look for a crib never somehow up yourself especially if they see you are a foreigner or white skin person prices can double or even triple up. Send a native friend if possible.

I was looking for a crib around Mamba Point (walking distance to Capitol Room) several months ago, the person said the crib is 50 $ but when the landlord appeared and saw me as a foreigner she said immediately 100 $ per month, I asked how much would be the last price she said 90 $. The place was surely cracked and old but with small renovation it could look decent. I rented many older apartments before and renovated myself.

So surely Mamba Point is a expensive place in Monrovia, if you want very decent houses in Western standards including hot water, security etc it can cost you 1000 $ + a month but in my opinion there is no need to spend such high amounts just for a apartment. For those foreigners who doesn't eat African food it can be very expensive as well (buying from the Supermarket at the time).

The same thing for Sinkor but IMO it's a bit cheaper than Mamba Point.

With proper search and luck you can find a decent (with ties on the floor) 2 bedroom crib in Sinkor (Liberian standards). Between 150 - 300 $ per month you will get pretty decent cribs (apartments). Like a said if you go to look for a apartment alone as a total stranger they can easily say for a 150 $ crib 300 or 500 $.

Connection is very important.

Went to Lila Brown last night (Saturday). Directly across from the Mamba Point Hotel. Arrived at 10:30, left at 11:30. Nice restaurant / bar filled with a mix of locals & ex-pats. Saw two possible WGs but no guarantees.

In conclusion: if you're young, get there after 11:30 & dance your heart out. If those days are behind you, hit the place around 2 in the morning (Fri / Sat / Sun nights; maybe others) & don't go in. The street outside has lots of opportunities & the parking lot has lots of opportunities. I would chat up a bunch of girls & take numbers, then maybe pick one out for the night. I would not pay more than $50 for the night.
