Checked into the MOVENPICK Hotel in Tangier; after dinner and RTFF I headed to Disco 555 arriving around 11pm.

I will be going to Casablanca and Tangier next week on a business trip for the first time and need some help.

I've read a few pages of the form and sort of know where to go and what to do but any other recommendations will be helpful.

I could not find which hotels are girl friendly and would appreciate recommendations in both cities. I would prefer mid-high to high end hotels.

I am not too crazy of staying in an apartments due to my short stay, safety, cleanliness, and the fact that most apartment will not have a safe deposit box for my valuables but if hotels are not girl friendly then I would appreciate apartments recommendation.

As you realised yourself Marrakesh is far from monger's paradise, it's plain real world. My impressions is that an above average number of morrocon working girls a monger meets, are a hassle. Which is in my opinion not too surprising with regards to the moroccon society and the places where you are most likely to bump into them (discos). What type of girl you think you find there? You definitely shouldn't just take any girl home. Use your brain instead of your guts! As another one pointed out already you have to examine her before going anywhere. Being able to communicate in French helps a lot in this as next to no girls have a reasonable command of the English language. That said, there are nice, beautiful and sweet girls to be found. In my experience they go, however, not to the disco or the bars.

You're right! In every place are nice and sweet girls. I don't speak french so it is possibly a barrier to find the sweet ones but on the otherside I'm an open and comunicative guy. I just have to check it out and see. Any suggestions where to meet them?

Be real careful when leaving club (and casino) Teatro in the middle of the night or when the club closes. There's a gang of kids who are all thieves that all try to sell you a small flower they carry in their hands. While you are walking outside and trying to negotiate a taxi 3-4 of them will pat down your pockets, they are real skillful at doing that. I saw them pick guys wallet. Unless you have your hand in your pocket at all times they will lift your wallet / cell phone / etc. I was also told they have knives if you try to mess with them. For this reason I'd avoid going to Teatro altogether and be aware and recognize this situation elsewhere while in Marrakesh.

I have been to this place several times and a couple of the girls I've got back there have caused me trouble. The first one demanded the money up front and threatened to hit me when I didn't give it to her (she ended up leaving) so I just got rid of her, as she didn't look as good as she had in the bar anyway and obviously wasn't going to be much fun. The second one seemed to have some sort of scam going with security (she asked for 200dh to be let out) and also with the police. How it went down was like this: she said she needed 200dh to get out before 1am (maybe this is true. The security didn't want to let her in, so she bribed them by promising to give 200dh if she got a client). But she also made me wait while she went to talk to someone, so she was probably setting me up for the next scam. We walked back to my place as it was close, but when we got there a police van turned up and the guy obviously just wanted money. He went away when I gave him 100dh. Normal police want a lot more (and have even been known to try to enforce the law ocassionaly) so this was clearly a set-up. Once back at the apartment, this girl asked for the money upfront, wanting 1500dh instead of the 1000dh agreed. I should have chucked her out right then, but as she was an incredibly beautiful girl and I thought she would be worth it. She certainly wasn't. She didn't want to give me a blowjob, or do anything at all other than just lie on her back and complain throughout. After 5 minutes she wanted me to finish, alleging that it hurt. 3. Warn her that you'll throw her out without any money if she tries to ask for more than the agreed price or for money in advance when she gets back to your place (and look at her like you're the kind of guy that might beat her to death with a stick when you say this).

4. Don't be friendly, don't be polite (otherwise they'll just take you for a sucker) and make sure you outnumber and are ready to overpower the bitches if necessary and physically throw them out of your apartment (a good way is to throw out their handbag and their shoes, as they'll want to go after it).

5. Don't give your real name, adress or any other information at all to a girl.

6. If a girl refuses to give you her number or pretends not to have a phone or I'd card, she's setting you up.

7. Make sure you see the I'd card (say you need to check her age) and make her leave it with security.

If a girl sees you as weak or naive, she is likely to take advantage, so it is important to avoid that. Any true information you give about yourself is bad in the event that you have a problem with her (think about it this way. What information do you want her to send in the text she sends to her pimp. Your real name, adress and nationality?). Treat them the way moroccans treat them and the way they deserve to be treated. Like the nasty, devious and disgusting liars that they are and don't give them any money they haven't worked hard for. Make sure they know straight away that you're not the kind of guy they can get away with fucking around with and be ready to back your words up with force if necessary.

I always use my middle name when in Maroc. Your experiences are quite common in the even worse 3rd world countries, and the old security 100-200 Dhs is common in Casablanca at places like Calypso and the Best Western *****tel (bar fee for the girl to exit) but I had not heard much about it in Marrakech.
